Excellent and underrated video tutorial my friend. I can probably do almost everything but soldering. I never try it before I scared to mess up the screen so I might leave that to a professional.
It's not so much the tri-wing are especially prone to stripping. Rather the provided screw-drivers are the wrong size, too small, and have a spring-steel level of hardness virtually guaranteeing that you'll strip the Game Boy Screws. I repeat; DON'T USE THE PROVIDED SCREWDRIVERS ON YOUR GAME BOY. Instead get like an electronics security screw multi-bit set from a reputable brand, if you don't already have one, and use the appropriate size and shape bit. Its gonna save you a lot of time and frustration, especially if you're new to tinkering with, repairing, or upgrading old and new electronics.
Do you know if it's possible to link the led of the console to the battery to know if it's charging ? I own an non transparent shell and so I can't see if my console is charging or not.
The charging modue in this video has really bright LEDs to indicate charging. To see them you'd need a see through battery cover (around 0.99$ on AliExpress). Or buy a see through one and paint it the same colour as the rest of the GBA minus a small circle to allow the LED to shine through the transparent layer. Sorry if that doesnt answer your question.

Nice vidéo, very helpful ! too bad you didn't show how to install the battery
Sorry about that. You just push the battery into the housing then pop the lid on aligned with the USB C input.
