By request, this is a small video on how I weathered. The vek3d wolverine cowl v2 file with three thousand grit sandpaper and some rubbing buff silver.

Thanks for the video!! I never would have expected the base to be a Satin Black, i assumed it was matte black with a glossy clear coat and some dry brushing but your technique is way faster and has better results, I might have to redo my cowl after seeing this! Great job dude!!
