It is difficult to distinguish, and 21222 does not exclude 21220, whereas 21220 excludes 21222. How do they judge? You can not just copy and paste the exact job duties from ircc, and companies will not accept them as roles and responsibilities either. Is there a way how they match the noc code?

Hi if your reference letter lists your roles and responsibilities acc to the noc code and mentions your entire employment duration, it should be good , however it all depends on the visa officer reviewing your file , so try and include as many docs as possible, like pay stubs that hv your role mentioned, offer letters , print out of official emails etc

Hi Miss Sofia. Just wanted some clarification. I have been working in my company for two years. For the first year, my job was not eligible for CEC as it was teer 3 or 4 I think. Then I got a new position as a Team lead which is teer 2 and worked there for an other year. I can only claim points for the experience for my teer 2 position in the second year. Does my letter need to also show the first year of work along with job details for that position, which is not eligible for CEC, or is it ok if I just mention that position and date and just give job responsibilities for the second position for which I am claiming the points for. Hi u can actually claim points for teer 3 jobs so kindly check accordingly, if it’s 3 or4 , ur work experience letter is proof for the points u are claiming so it sud be ok even if it just shows the team lead position

A rate per hour is wide spread in Canada, it is a little bit strange that ircc asks for an annual salary. (in my job offer I also have hourly rate and 40 hours her week). My foreign reference letter indicates my monthly salary as it was in contact. Anyway, ircc officer can take a calculator and do this: monthly salary × 12 months (40 hours per week × hourly rate and × amount of weeks in the year) and get annual salary, right? Or would you ask your employer to correct reference letter?

I would recommend submitting other additional docs as well , like offer letter , pay stubs or tax slips etc along with the expeience letter on letterhead and also attach an additional letter explaining that employer doesnt provide exp letter with roles and responsibility thus attaching letter from colleagues, this should work, ircc. may reach out if they need any additional docs

Hii, i have a doubt. I have work experience from UAE. I was work in drafting, designing and modelling field (NOC 22212). But my visa and my company experience letter, they mentioned the designation as Mechanical Engineer (NOC 21301). I used that company experience letter when applying for my study permit and that letter is not as per the IRCC standards. I am going to request for a new one now. For the new one which designation I should put? All the job roles that i did are related to drafting but they have given the Mechanical Engineer designation in the older experience certificate. Yes , the expeerience after u hv applied for pgwp counts, u can show your exp in both the teer jobs, You can show the teer 3 jon from 10 sep to 4 nov and the the manager role from Nov 5

Hi Sofia, So I worked as IT Systems technician in a company on a contact basis from April 2023 to November 2023. But I applied for my PGWP on June 1. The work in that company was intermittent; some weeks I worked full time and some weeks I didn't. When I went through my paystubs, I counted the hours from June to November and it came out to be 616 hours. My concern is can I add this experience for my CEC? After I quit this job in november, I started working full time as an IT Analyst since december. Can I show 6 months of experience from my previous contract job and 6 months from my current and be eligible for CEC? Thanks for the informative video!! :)

Yes most employers are quite familiar with the format and some have their own as well , but u can surely share the template and ask them to fill up

What about a minimal annual salary increase in the company? Does that need to be in two separate sections in the letter?
As long as the job role was the same not really needed, u can add the salary at the time of resignation

You will need the work reference letter from employer and see if u can hv any other doc proving your employment

Hi Miss Sofia. Just wanted some clarification. I have been working in my company for two years. For the first year, my job was not eligible for CEC as it was teer 3 or 4 I think. Then I got a new position as a Team lead which is teer 2 and worked there for an other year. I can only claim points for the experience for my teer 2 position in the second year. Does my letter need to also show the first year of work along with job details for that position, which is not eligible for CEC, or is it ok if I just mention that position and date and just give job responsibilities for the second position for which I am claiming the points for. Thank you
Hi u can actually claim points for teer 3 jobs so kindly check accordingly, if it’s 3 or4 , ur work experience letter is proof for the points u are claiming so it sud be ok even if it just shows the team lead position

Could you please tell me, I have a rate per hour in my canadian reference letter (not annual salary as it required by ircc). Is that ok? A rate per hour is wide spread in Canada, it is a little bit strange that ircc asks for an annual salary. (in my job offer I also have hourly rate and 40 hours her week). My foreign reference letter indicates my monthly salary as it was in contact. Anyway, ircc officer can take a calculator and do this: monthly salary × 12 months (40 hours per week × hourly rate and × amount of weeks in the year) and get annual salary, right? Or would you ask your employer to correct reference letter?
Thank u zarina , if u are able to modify the letter from your employer then I would recommend to add annual salary if not , hourly rate , 40 hours a week and how long u hv been working should suffice , if u hv filed taxes , include your tax forms too

Was it Canadian reference letter or foreign one? Or doesn't it matter and whether I attach Canadian or foreign reference letter there is no need in pay stubs for both?
Is it mandatory to add tax form or pay stubs for Canadian reference letter? I have T4 form for 2023 but not yet for 2024. Just add 2023 tax form and letter of explanation, that i don't have yet my 2024 tax form ? Or attach 2023 T4 and all pay stubs for 2024?

Hi u can create a express entry profile while studying but u must be eligible under one of the streams , FSW , CEC or pnp and meet the cut off score to get the ita

Hi ircc usually counts on a monthly basis , but usually there are no points for exp less than 1 year
Thanks for the video. I have relieving letter from my ex-employers, but doesnt have roles and responsibilities. My ex-employer doesn’t provide experience letter with roles and responsibilities, can I get a letter from colleagues who worked with me in those companies confirming my roles and responsibilities ? I mean on plain paper not on letterhead. Will that be accepted by IRCC?
I would recommend submitting other additional docs as well , like offer letter , pay stubs or tax slips etc along with the expeience letter on letterhead and also attach an additional letter explaining that employer doesnt provide exp letter with roles and responsibility thus attaching letter from colleagues, this should work, ircc. may reach out if they need any additional docs
Can I add my unpaid vacation in work reference letter?
It’s not required as unpaid vacation doesn’t add to your no of hours however if u want u can add it

Hii, i have a doubt. I have work experience from UAE. I was work in drafting, designing and modelling field (NOC 22212). But my visa and my company experience letter, they mentioned the designation as Mechanical Engineer (NOC 21301). I used that company experience letter when applying for my study permit and that letter is not as per the IRCC standards. I am going to request for a new one now. For the new one which designation I should put? All the job roles that i did are related to drafting but they have given the Mechanical Engineer designation in the older experience certificate. I am confused. Please help?

I applied for my pgwp on 10th September, 2023 and got approved on 11th November.
And I joined as manager position on November 5th.
My question is can I show two teer level jobs and after applying for pgwp does the work experience count ???
So is it possible to show my one year experience two months in teer-3 job and 10months teer-O job?
Yes , the expeerience after u hv applied for pgwp counts, u can show your exp in both the teer jobs, You can show the teer 3 jon from 10 sep to 4 nov and the the manager role from Nov 5

So I worked as IT Systems technician in a company on a contact basis from April 2023 to November 2023. But I applied for my PGWP on June 1. The work in that company was intermittent; some weeks I worked full time and some weeks I didn't. When I went through my paystubs, I counted the hours from June to November and it came out to be 616 hours. My concern is can I add this experience for my CEC? After I quit this job in november, I started working full time as an IT Analyst since december. Can I show 6 months of experience from my previous contract job and 6 months from my current and be eligible for CEC?
