Amazing how composers know exactly what sounds will evoke certain feelings. Like, every water level theme evokes the feeling of being underwater, even outside of the games. I love it. Also how they do the same with night time themes.
I looked up 'Aural Imbalance - Earthbound' and what comes up sound really doesn't like track 2 of this mix. Possible it's a mislabel? I really like the song that's here but haven't been able to find a standalone track of it :(
these mixes are so damn good for studying with adhd, the music just lets you zone everything out and focus on the work you gotta get done. wouldn't have survived senior year without 'em!
this is exactly what i want to hear when it comes down to that atmospheric jungle with breaks. always brings me back to my ps1, ps2, nintendo days. probably the smoothest most chill mix i come across i love it. I listen to it all the time when I'm workin at the dispo. distant lights is my favorite of the mix
This and Peshay Studio Set (1996) are two of the best Ambient , jungle , dnb set I've heard so far ! They're so delicate , smooth , balanced .... too good ! 10x
And like water, air is a fluid. So, earth's atmosphere is like a great light-weight ocean, submerging the earth. Birds are like the fish. Bugs are like the planktons. Trees are like coral & kelp. And we humans, we are like Man Ray, floating around in the vast skycean as if superimposed via greenscreen. Truly remarkable.

Wow. I remember this! 1997, PlayStation was still in its first couple years and already the devs were pushing the hardware to its limits with the release of the original Subnautica. God the loading times were brutal but the results were breathtaking at the time. It was a lot more survival focused and less horror than the modern version, but you could still get startled by some of the monsters coming out of that low-render-distance fog haha! Lots of fond memories of childhood wonder, curled up on the couch as the snow came down late at night, exploring an alien ocean through my television screen. I miss those days man.
I'm so happy for these mixes but this one in particular has been very helpful for me the past few days/weeks. When I need something relaxing and not too loud or distracting but not too soft that it puts me to sleep. It's perfect for my really early morning and really late study sessions so thank you
thank you for making visuals that don't have any static elements. I run music on my TV and always get worried about burn in... but not with this mix! THAN KYOU
your fear has some basis, but make sure that the technology used in your TV is really the one vulnerable to burn in, before worrying to much, as far as i know, out of recent technologies, only OLED is susceptible to burn in. Asked Bing Copilot about it: Several display technologies are susceptible to burn-in include: -OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode): OLED displays are particularly prone to burn-in because each pixel emits its own light, and prolonged display of static images can cause uneven degradation of the pixels -Plasma Displays: These were more susceptible to burn-in in the past, but they are less common now. -CRT (Cathode Ray Tube): Older CRT monitors and televisions were also prone to burn-in. -Early-generation LCDs: Some older LCDs could experience burn-in, although it was less common than with plasma and CRT Modern LCDs, especially IPS (In-Plane Switching) and VA (Vertical Alignment) panels, are generally less susceptible to burn-in compared to older technologies
do you have any kind of rave scene in your area? I used to go to lots of DnB parties in the mid-late 2000s, I'm honestly not super sure if it's popular anymore bc I'm an old person now 😅 but I would suggest checking that out. and ravers are generally super friendly so you can definitely go alone and meet people, I did it many times!

Seems like there is a revival of this type of music. Either that or i have been living under a rock.
