I feel like a kid waiting on Christmas morning. Spoke with the great folks at Back Country Ski & Sports Inc here In SW VA and they have my forest camo Coosa on order for me. Cant wait till the 17th of next month. If you live in VA you need to check out Back Country Ski & Sports and they can hook you up as well.
I have one of these and I love it . Looking for some videos from the diy community before I make any modifications to it. The open deck is perfect for what I need
Hi Michael. It is a sit on top, so it will handle moving water, as the scuppers will drain. However, it is really up to the skill of the paddler. I would recommend that you try before you buy, and demo it at your local dealer to decide if this boat is right for you. With it's low nose, it may not be the best choice of boat for your local conditions.
They did a new seat for the newer model...but what I did was buy an inflatable lumbar pillow and use that. It helps a lot. Hopefully Jackson will make a new seat that fits this model because everyone I know that owns the bite complains about that bar!
@@tomforward990 That's a great kayak too. I love the bite, I am looking at the newer model that has the option for a peddle drive for next yr. I have the bite and the big rig both solid kayaks. Love Jackson kayaks but so far I have had issues with seats for both of my kayaks.
I like how open the deck is
I got one today. I love it!!

Great review, bought it after watching.
Thank Feral One.

Recommend storage for Jackson kayak bite, outdoors under shaded carport. Right side up? Upside down? In side or on keel vertical?
Upside down in the shade is always best. Off the ground with the seat out if you can!
Great yak!
would this be good for rabids? And shallow creeks? Am looking for a kayak to take with me to devils river. Am also 5' 7" 280LBS

Can you change the seat? The bar hurts my back. I almost bought this but did t because of the seat.

@@amyd4626 Thanks. I bought a Bonafide and am extremely happy. Paddles way better than the Bite and just as stable IMO

Send to Brazil, please! Hehe!
The seat is a very bad design after an hour it's hurting the bottom of the thighs and back
It is a tight budget yak. Probably good for some people but it might not be the right boat for you.
