@@hardcoreneverdies5341 link to the original Mazda intake? Or link clarifying that there are no noticeable performance gains fron an aftermarket intake?
To really get any performance gains from an CAI I think you gotta install CAI and then get a tune providing your new CAI for a chance at any performance gains. Does sound a lot better and better for your car if can keep air cooler with decent throttle response. Never thought they did much until I actually saw one installed and played around with it and then a tune with the CAI and it actually helped. Always want better air flow!
I'm finalizing dimensions and test fitting the heat resistant duct that comes with the midlife crisis cold air kit. The kit deletes the sound deadening chamber to the left of the OEM airbox. Included will be a replacement adapter flange to run 2.5 ID heat resistant piping under and away from the coolant hose and in front of the passenger side headlight. The front bumper will need to be removed and install a velocity stack bracket that's all included. Only 10 kits are being made.
And I’ve watched these “little” 4 cylinders tuned up and modded go right by scat packs and GTs on tracks. But oh no, those are V8s? 😂 sure, drag/ straight lines the V8s will win but an actual track where you also need handles and power these 4 cylinders hood their own with a lot

Nothing beats the OEM intake. That's why Flyin' Miata and Good-Win Racing do not sell cold air intakes.
Did you mean AEM? The First one ?
@@hardcoreneverdies5341 no, OEM as in Original Equipment Manufacture aka Mazda.
@@vito7056 do you have a link for me?

@@vito7056 from the oem intake
AEM and Injen are proven to be worst than OEM Intake Mazda ND . Best choices are Takeda Momentum, Mishimoto and Corksport.
Where was that proven
@@tony_dean ruclips.net/video/kqQL0cS_crg/видео.html There are also some articles that confirm this.
@@tony_dean Just search videos. Dyno numbers are worse... lose like 10 hp.
100k miles no cleaning on the AEM Intake...🧐🧐🤨 idk if I believe that.
H.P./Torque gains?
That would be nice info

Do the intakes increase HP:/ torque?
There may be a small increase in HP and TQ, but it will be very minimal. The most notable difference will be the sound!
