Nice video.. 👍 I used to own one. Exact same wheels. Rear ones were a problem at 255x50x15.. You couldn't find tyres. Had the inner rim changed to make tyres 225x50x15 in the end. I have a few things left over from the car if you want them? A long range aluminium fuel tank with filler right side rear. I've got a copy of the build manual too if you want it. Had the car for many years and rebuilt it a lot. If you have an email address I'll send you some pics and the manual. The exhaust collector can be a nuisance always coming loose. I modified mine by putting a cut in the pipe and welding on a clamp and bolt across the gap so there's a mechanical clamp rather than an exhaust paste. Watch for cracks around the collector area too.. Because exhaust is fixed at rear and on cylinder head the exhaust system wobbles and cracks.
Thank you so much for comments and the kind offer... I am not sure where you are living, as that could be an issue to get the parts. In each case, yes send me a mail at Steve@flashsplash.be I will be back saterday to answer... We can talk more by mail.... txs again
@@D3Sshooter been trying to contact you but having email issues with virginmedia.. Surprise.. Their email service can be terrible at times.. I'll try again once it's fixed
That was a great project, Steve. Total labor of love and it ended up being awesome. So rewarding to see a car come back in such a nice manner. Happy 2024 to you and yours and everyone here!
I built a Robin Hood kit car which is similar to the DAX. Unfortunately I got ill and put on a lot of weight and struggled to drive it so I let it go to a new smaller owner. The whole project was a lot of fun though. These days I have two Ford Capris.
I have just purchased 2 months ago an caterham seven from 1980. The condition is pretty good, only 3 pre owners, but anyway, old cars needs some attention. Ford crossflow engine, I need new brakes, engine oil, coolant, thermostat, waterpump is leaking, some cracks in the plastic parts... perfect winther job. You are somebody to look up with your know how. BR Peter
