I completely agree with your approach with learning. Because of your positivity I’ve started learning Nuke. In 2019, when I got introduced to cinema 4D, I stumbled on this video and laughed at the fact that when I get a motion design job, I won't get that passionate about client work and that I would still need to create my own work. Back then, the idea of getting paid for animating something was a dream, let alone getting burned out from it. Fast forward 5 years to 2024, and I was feeling like shit sucked in the trenches of never-ending work. To my surprise, I couldn't get "passionate" about the paid work; it started becoming choirs. And thank the gods or the universe, an echo of Andrey's voice appeared in my head: "Never stop creating." Thank you so much, Andrey; this video might have just saved me.

Depends on where you live, i went to uni here in sweden for vfx, it got me contacts and my job and we have a thing called CSN loan here which is almost interest free. That money is for just surviving, so food rent etc. The uni for us swedes is free so at the end of my education I was Only around 25k usd in debt and pay it back at 200usd every 3 months.

"Maya oh Maya" hahahaha that's so funny! I'm a long time Maya user been on Maya since version 2. I absolutely love it with vray it's really cool. Modelling is good and it's good at texture setups.. but it's viewport sucks. Great vids I like how you shared your early work here I just recently uploaded my own early showreel haha
jeffhaf1 yep been tinkering with Houdini for a couple years on and off there's some fun houdini vids on my channel I absolutely love it. I'm in the process of figuring out some muscle sim and cloth stuff to take anims to another level and I plan on doing some more creative work with it I just adore the software. I've found it isn't as nice as Maya to work with animation but it's something that is improving. For pure creativity it's unmatched tho.. and the viewport is just incredible!

I am 19 yo and just started learning Maya by myself, so I don't have much experience but I learned so much by my mistakes and I can assured you I will continue to do stuff, even if it sucks, I will learn something.
ok so here is something for andrey i hope he sees this and make his day happy. Before 2 years i remember watching your videos and feeling like a completely noob. 2 years later and now i study interior architecture in greek university. now the thing is eveything here is like 20 years behind and old we dont do any 3d software or rendering modelling skills .... but as you say being in an academic environment does help you with things like generally knowledge about the things you will need like sizes desing theories colors etc. But that doesnt mean you cant study alone i tried starting with maya then switched to cinema 4D and now 3DSmax. :P THANKS FOR THE VIDEOS Andrey they are amazing and inspiring
Hey I love your work on Instagram. You are awesome. I had one question. I'm more into Maya. But there are many things that Cinema 4D can do. And when I try to use Cinema 4D it's quite hard for me. Are there any tutorials on not user interface but explaining the tools for motion graphics. And as Cinema 4D starter what would you advice me ? (I'm not new to 3d and VFX. I've been using Maya for quite a while)
Hey, Thank you for your kind words ;) It should be a painless switch for you, however, some tools in C4D are named differently, so it might be painless but not flawless. When I switched I tried the same approach I would use in Maya and when I got stuck, I was looking for info if there is a similar feature in C4D that I had in Maya. There are a lot of dudes switching and they're posting in forums, writing articles specifically talking about differences and how to overcome them.
i am into 3ds max and i started using cinema4d recently and so far its great, its basically the same thing, all you need is learn the tools and transfer your knowledge from maya to cinema, and yes there are a lot tutorials on youtube
I'm so glad that I found this video... today I realised that I want to get into VFX and make it one of my passions, and my aim for next year is to actually start learning and creating things. This video was exactly the kind of motivation I needed. Thank you so much!
Start creating / "REPLICATING" this is most important part. No one can just go boom and make something pro, it takes time, overcome the learning curve, copy the tutorials, you will be happy but dont just copy, try to understand what you just did, why was a step a node a graph etc was important, dont copy values crank them up and down and remember what they do. Atleast this is what i think, i am still learning, not yet there but i feel confident.
if you want it to be portable definitely go for the mac book pro If you want a powerful system you can buy some of the pre built PCs. I would recommend a powerful CPU With more cores and clock speeds and stuff as much ram as possible in your pc because Cinema4D, Maya and After Effects are very RAM Hungry Programs
Pre-built systems is a bad idea. They always put together components that doesn’t make sense but price goes up. Firstly, build it yourself or find a friend who can build it. It’s easy. Secondly, choose your render engine first. You would need more powerful GPU if it’s a GPU engine and CPU doesn’t matter as much in that case.
I've seen just two videos, and with this second one i feel like someone was spying my stuff, but damn it is the video that i need, not just for learning but the inspiration to start in it. Thank you.
I really cant wait to learn. That intro with the butterfly was 😮. I learned how to edit, and created videos on my RUclips channel, but really want to expand. I love what I've done so far on my own.
fact : this video inspired me and after 8 months after this video was posted , i got my first job as a 3d modeller ! thank you vm !

University does not give u skills only but also 100000 dollars of debt
Depends on where you live, i went to uni here in sweden for vfx, it got me contacts and my job and we have a thing called CSN loan here which is almost interest free. That money is for just surviving, so food rent etc. The uni for us swedes is free so at the end of my education I was Only around 25k usd in debt and pay it back at 200usd every 3 months.
@@SwompyGaming I also live in a country where the government gives you money to pay the university and sustain yourself the condition is that don't fail
Absolutely agree with you. I just remember myself when i wanted to learn website development)
Oh we meet againt ant hahahhaha,I hope you remember me 😂
Never used Maya, only reacting just like you to "Maya oh Maya". That was funny. Lol.
anthony mcgrath It's more funny if you knew Nepalese. It literally means LOVE, or NAME OF A GIRL and both two have songs that is quite similar to how he is saying.
anthony mcgrath, you are very beautiful, inspiring and knowledgeable!
Thank u man. You really explained it in an easy and better way.
Respect from India ♥️ 🇮🇳

The words at the beginning...subbed and smacked the bell, you are so real
Btw, I learned to code for free on youtube. RUclips is the best for learn- well not really. You need to search a lot.
Would rather search through a textbook or RUclips? Obviously RUclips
andrey is the best motivator and teacher for VFX on youtube
Hi from germany thanks 4 motivation
Ehrenmann
Benutzt du blender?
You are very good at teaching.
Keep doing this, the world need persons like you!

I really appreciate with you for 48 hours rendering for butterfly and I am going to take your punchline "…and just create create create motion graphic, animation, vfx jobs never stopping our own things…!" Great!
Im confused , so i need to start learning 3D and from that project i put on After Effect , this is the process of VFX , please answer me im so new to this and i have no idea what im doing :D
I am 19 yo and just started learning Maya by myself, so I don't have much experience but I learned so much by my mistakes and I can assured you I will continue to do stuff, even if it sucks, I will learn something.
Just subcribed to ur channel.....pls continue doing more tuts on c4d and fusion
ok so here is something for andrey i hope he sees this and make his day happy. :P THANKS FOR THE VIDEOS Andrey they are amazing and inspiring
it turned out to be a career ❤ you man thanks for sharing knowledge since day one
I've been using Maya for quite a while)
Hey,
Thank you for your kind words ;)
It should be a painless switch for you, however, some tools in C4D are named differently, so it might be painless but not flawless.
Used blender
I'm so glad that I found this video... today I realised that I want to get into VFX and make it one of my passions, and my aim for next year is to actually start learning and creating things. This video was exactly the kind of motivation I needed. Thank you so much!

thank you so much for making this video. I also just want to say your first animation blew my mind
man you are good
Start creating / "REPLICATING" this is most important part. No one can just go boom and make something pro, it takes time, overcome the learning curve, copy the tutorials, you will be happy but dont just copy, try to understand what you just did, why was a step a node a graph etc was important, dont copy values crank them up and down and remember what they do. Atleast this is what i think, i am still learning, not yet there but i feel confident.
hi andry... please whats the best system to use for CG and VFX?
I have two vids in my equipment playlist. Both are about high end machines but to start in VFX any laptop would do. I started with old 💻 MacBook Pro
short answer? A very powerful one.
if you want it to be portable definitely go for the mac book pro
If you want a powerful system you can buy some of the pre built PCs.
Thanks a million
Your short talk is more valuable than some University Professors - Keep on being the same talented helpful person :)
Subbed :)
I've seen just two videos, and with this second one i feel like someone was spying my stuff, but damn it is the video that i need, not just for learning but the inspiration to start in it. Thank you.
Please tell difference between VFX Artist and CGI Artist
CGI artists basically mostly focus on 3d modeling and animation, VFX artists focus on stuff like compositing, creating effects etc
@@orange3567 I want you make videos on "Jewellery Rendering" specially it's my request.
super vfx
Probably the most clear and helpful video on RUclips I've ever watched, on any topic. Thank you

I really cant wait to learn. That intro with the butterfly was 😮. I learned how to edit, and created videos on my RUclips channel, but really want to expand. I love what I've done so far on my own.
