I remember playing the original Detective Grimoire game on a flash games website back in high school. I forgot about it. Then years later in ~2014 playing this, it rekindled those memories and I realized "Wait, the people who made some flash game went on to make a real, honest to goodness video game?!" Blew my mind.
Randomly stumbled upon this channel when I discovered the Tangle Tower video. Thank you for uploading these. The pace in which you play make for a wonderful viewing experience. I played this game in the series and was disappointed by the short length (I could still refund it on steam if I wanted, despite getting the 100% completion). Never realized they made a sequel. Tangled Tower looks like an improvement in every aspect. I'm really looking forward to the next game, so I intend to play it first myself, but I will definitely watch a playthrough here once I'm done.
The other one I uploaded was the second game in the series, Tangle Tower. Technically this game was the first in the series as it came out in 2014 with Tangle Tower coming out in 2019. The detective is present in both, maybe why you think it was already uploaded :)

Despite the very first game being non-canon, this game has some references to it. Which makes it confusing.

That's probably because this is the first one. Tangle Tower was the sequel and came out 5 years after this one.
