Congrats on completing your first week! I’m starting med school in the UK in a couple weeks so it will be interesting to follow your med school journey at the same time:)
That progress test is a really interesting idea (I'll have to steal that!) More importantly, great enthusiasm and energy for your first week and first VLOG (definitely was better than me.... haha). Hope your still havin a kick ass time
This is exciting! As a Canadian who will be starting my MD in Australia I'm so curious to see how your education unfolds! Living vicariously through you right now :)
Ahhhh I want to start med school soooo bad! I hope to start this September, of course if I pass my uni entrance exams!! FINGERS CROSSED AND SOME LITTLE TEARS IN MY EYES
What an amazing video, it's sooo cool to see how happy and excited you are on your first week at med school! Thanks for sharing your experiences with us all. :)
So awesome Kian❤️ I am so so proud of you and am so happy to see that you’re having fun!! Miss you! Ps- next vlog pls fill us in on if u were the only one wearing scrubs in your cadaver lab 😏
That’s how I felt before we started too, but yes the face was covered and we only could see what we were working on (the back) so they ease us into it. I think the facial muscles are dissected in 2nd year in my program
It’s kind of crazy how similar med school in Canada is to med school here in NZ! We have cadaver labs too, progress tests, etc. Idk how long med school is there though but I did my undergrad for 3 years & have another 5 years of med school.
wow very similar! I did 3 years of undergrad (which is usually 4 years for completion in Canada), and I now have 4 years of medical school and residency after. Good luck with your studies
Omg my dream my whish is to become a nurse I'm in year 5, going to year 6 our first subject is blood heart. I am going to focause so much its going to be inberleavuble , please give me some advice my family has a lot of faith in me so I'm stressed and overwhelmed because I realy want to sucsead there expertasions
I really enjoyed your video. I'm actually starting medical school at McMaster Medical School and I'm starting a vlog as well! Maybe in the future we can do a collab comparing the difference! For the time being, if you're interested in seeing a slightly different perspective on medical school and what it's like in Ontario, check out my vlog here: ruclips.net/video/gMCQ66JY3qo/видео.html :)
Sorry if it was mentioned and I missed it but which med school are you going to? Would you recommend any? I want to go to med school but there aren't any in my province so I've been starting to try and figure out where to aim for (I'll go anywhere that takes me though lol)
Medecine in Canada is going to take you 10x longer than any other country. You'll have finished 11 years of university and residency before you even become a physician. Usual length of courses where I live is 5 years.so medecine isn't reccomended in Canada really. Good luck!.
You need a PR first (permanent status) and also be lucky. Only 20% of foreign (non-English medical school) doctors succeed in becoming a doctor in Korea. I have seen many foreign doctors end up going to college to become a nurse or Respiratory Therapist in Canada. If you aren’t a doctor, you won’t have any chances of getting into medical school unless you have PR. You have a better chance going to Australia or the UK.
its not easy to live here. The supply and demand ratio is seriously unbalanced as the demand is way higher. It's highly competitive but overall it's an amazing country yeah
Assuming you are not a daughter of deep pocketed parents, can you please post a video on how you pay your tuition and living expenses? What proportion of your expenses are paid by provincial student loan and bank loans?
Would you say biomedical engineering is not a good major for med school? Also, is an u dergrad in Life Science from UofT a bad decision for med school?
Congrats! Great video. Hi, I am a french student in medical school. My university proposes that we do a one-month clinical internship during the summer in a foreign hospital. Do you know if your university offers international students like me a one-month internship? Or could you give me an email address where I could ask the question? Thank you in advance and I wish you all the best in your studies.
hahaha i remembering this excited when I started medschool too.. Hope you have a great medschool experience:)

Is the face covered when you dissect? I can’t even begin to imagine cutting into someone... *shivers*

Hey, I'm from India and I want to complete my MBBS from Canada can you help me by giving some useful information about MD programme in canada

@@mahaabdul2264 true but with the amount of debt you get from 8 years makes it better to study somewhere else

Your editing kind of looks like America Revere's on her channel 😬

Hi, what pre-med major did you do?
I did biochemistry :)
KianMDvlog would you suggest doing a health science major?

Would you say biomedical engineering is not a good major for med school? Also, is an u dergrad in Life Science from UofT a bad decision for med school?
