Great video brings back memory's when I use to service Racks. This is what happens when the rack wasn't PM every year.Your heart must of stoped when everything shut down that's worst thing when every equipment shut down .The stores I used to service never had generator setup.
Im starting my refrigeration course i a couple months.Just found your channel! I dont understand very much yet but I figure the more I watch the quicker ill catch on! Cheers!
I know im a newbie and your videos are mostly geared toward experienced professionnals, I would find it quite helpful if when troubleshooting you would point out and briefly explain some of the basics of what you are doing. For example you always check the sightglass ( not the compressor oil one). What does iy mean if you do or dont see liquid in the sightglass?
Hey Kevin. I'm no teacher I typically just like the pleasure of vlogging and challenging my self while the camera is rolling. I only check the oil when I think it's a oil issue. A clear sight glass normally means you have enough refrigerant in the system and the subcool should be within a good range. Typically you need a full column of liquid enter the txv.
watz goin bro my name is Tye young brother hvac/r tech out of nyc i just want to take the time out to say itz a pleasure n blessing to have come across your channel you are teaching me so much been doing hvac for a few yrz now juz got a new position working on rack systems n the refer side of trade was wondering if maybe we could exchange emails to converse i could use a big bro to skool me giv me the knowledge needed to conquer this field would be much appreciated
I was a a rack a couple weeks ago, and when I was checking voltage at a contactor (208, 3 phase).... Within about 5 seconds the voltage slowly started dropping... 210... 209... 208..... All the way down to 194, then everything turned off... All lights, all equipment, everything. About 2 seconds later, everything came back online, and started powering up. And there I was standing there with my meter still on the lugs. Turns out a car down the street hit a power pole. But I'll tell ya, I had to change my undies after that one.
Good practice to replace bolts when changing cores and as well when dropping oil separator floats. You don't want a bolt to sheer off. No vacuum pulled for that seperator?? Air and refrigerant don't mix.
Hey your videos are great you going to blow up one day just keep up the good work. What company you work for if you don’t mind me asking. I think I’m know because of the stores but just wondering.
You work for source refrigeration? A COOLSYS company? … I work for a CoolSys company on the east coast as well… they buying every refer company in the states
Was your oil separator line feeding reservoir not feeding? Usually if lines cold you know it’s not feeding. Just wondering 💭. Great work as always my dude!
in a pinch if the oil float isnt feeding oil you can force discharge gas from compressor into the bottom of the oil seporator and get oil feeding until you get back with the parts .

Wow I can imagine the moment I start walking towards hatch I kind was shocked till I heard the generator kick on
Wow 😳
Nice job i always hated cleaning them floats bolt from the bottom on a r22 system they were always in grey gunk

Great video man!! I subbed and will be tuning in more brother. Not a lot of channels with racks. I work on them too.

Naw
Nice repair ... man
Its weird how quiet a roof full of units gets during a power loss. You get so used to the noise that a lack of it is super unsettling.
Right

Yes it wasn’t feedinghad no choice but to drop it

I tried to back flush it first and no luck

Sweet man.
Nice work, hey bro what spray was that?
Electrical contact cleaner, pretty sure it doesn't leave any residue.

hi how do you know the bal is not leaking ?
remember videos are edited, an I share what I want you to see.
@@Bluecollarrebel the reason that i asked is i want 2 learn that , i am a beginner thanx
Just double check use soap bubbles and your leak detector those 2 are your best friends.
