  • MTB North Yorkshire : Paradise Trail @ Sutton Bank. 18 Miles.
    PARADISE TRAIL - RED CYCLE ROUTE
    Can take anywhere between 3-5 hours. Starting from High Paradise Tea Room the red route is for those who would like to take a bit more of a challenge on, the most technical route but equally as spectacular. The Paradise trail takes in rocky, swooping singletrack, various natural but technical features, and of course has our very own 'K2' climb - the steepest section on the trail system. The Paradise loops around Boltby Forest, moorland and woodland trails providing a cross-section of mountain-bike riding through some of the most breath-taking scenery. It is for those with a true spirit of adventure. 17.5 miles.

    This was my first time riding the mtb Paradise Trail at Sutton Bank, but it will not be the last time I ride this on MTB or EMTB, yes this Paradise Trail has some immense uphills, which would make this simply sublime on a EMTB.

    Great video as always. This is a lovely trail. We stopped in a holiday cottage last year about a miles before the k2 climb. I persuaded the wife to ride this route with me on our ebikes, 😂🤣😂🤣
    She hated it 🤣, she's refused point blank to go on a technical trail since. Personally I really enjoyed it. I have to say it's reassuring that you couldn't get up k2 without pushing either. The rest of the route is great, and the café is excellent, even had a real ale when we were there!

  • @TubbyMTB
    @TubbyMTB 2 года назад

    Now then Boots. You’re in my neighbourhood there. Glad you found paradise. There’s an option to make the route easier but still enjoyable, just missing out the mud fest and the beast of the climb that is K2. Park respectfully in Boltby Village and make your way to the gate at the start of the fire road climb up to Sutton Bank Visitors Centre. Then follow the route as usual all the way to the rock garden descent towards Kirby Knowle. Once at Kirby Knowle, just ride the roads back to Boltby. You’ll miss out the K2 climb (think you called it Boltby Bank) but that climb is a hellish mud fest 10 months of the year, even on an eeb. It’s only around 2 1//2 miles of tarmac but it’s a dead quiet road with amazing views and well worth doing instead of that hellish climb

Where you went though the gate after leaving the wood where you start to descend into boltby. You could go past the gate and you'll come to a crossroad road go right as doubling back on your Self this will take you to a monster of a descent. Into hawnby there's a little coffee shop there.
