I had never heard the word "colorway" before I heard you use it so much on this channel. I was about to show my ignorance by making an uninformed comment when I decided I should google the term first. Man-o-man, do you use the term perfectly, and I'm so glad I looked it up! I'm 61.8 years old and just learned this:
COLORWAY-
noun;
1. The scheme of two or more colors in which a design is available. It is often used to describe variegated or ombre (shades of one color) print yarns, fabric, or thread. It can also be applied to apparel, to wallpaper and other interior design motifs, and to specifications for printed materials such as magazines or newspapers.
Tampos, the badges on our 1/64 castings, are printed materials.
I have never actually looked up the definition, thanks for that! Always just thought it was a Hot Wheels slang word....

Many really nice castings running some decent times. Although your ranks are so tight (seeing the gatekeeper times makes me sigh from time to time lol), you still manage to get a lot of cars in from every dozen. And even not only the usual suspects - fantastic! Big fun to watch … as usual 😉

Fun series and looking forward to the Rescue Ranger race. You have a few more than myself! Loved the fast buses!! I just got my first Firebird in my ranks as well. It just woke up in my new calibration tests. Ole JL’s are just so inconsistent…😕

i like the portly cars... i did't know you could find boogie vans in 2 packs.. can't find any around me period.
early deployment of the chutes.. i find its best to secure the body. Each run that body shifts when it hits the bag. it can affect the rear wheels with impact, it may affect the front. My trix went from fastest to lastest with a bean bag stop.
Thats one reason I like the pro circuit funny cars. The bodies don't flop around. The pc5 wheels are also smaller which gives more clearance. Of course they can be more difficult to lube.
These Dodge vans are paired with another rubber tire van in the 2 packs. They have come and gone at the big retailers, but places like Hobby Lobby still have them hanging.

WHOA!!!!! Is that an error at 5:21?!? It's missing the glass! All of the rest of the funny cars have glass but this one doesn't? Wait- I looked up 'Plymouth Arrow funny car' on the Hot Wheels wiki and couldn't find that specific casting, but the rest of the same don't have glass either, so I guess no error. No entry for this casting though. Where did this green beauty come from?
I think the green one is from the 2016 target exclusive retro style series cars

Chevy funny car is Camaro
It is the same casting as the Firebird Funny car originally produced in 1982. I typically call it the Trans Am, even tho that is not 100% correct. But it differentiates it (in my mind, at least) from the 1997 Firebird F/C.
