Just ordered the SXP Black Shadow in 3 1/2 inch chambered in 12 gauge. I believe the barrel length is 28 inches from my local gun shop. I specifically bought for ruffed grouse and turkey hunting as it comes with 3 chokes. I’m on a kick right now looking for reviews specific to that shotgun…. I am Really hoping it will be a great reliable shotgun.
I own a 12ga SXP Black Shadow 26" barrel. I use it for hunting Dove and Quail in Arizona. I love it. It fits me like a glove. It's been very reliable. Very accurate too. I want to get a Upland Field model in 20ga. They look beautiful!
Does anyone else have problems with the gun ejecting spent shells? I own the 20 gauge so my experience may be different. I'm hoping it's an ammo specific problem as I'm using Winchester ammo.
I would say it depends on your desired use. If you’re planning to hunt, clay shoot, or other sporting competitions with it. I would say no. However, if it is mainly for home defense, sure! With that said, I don’t think it has anything to do with your firearm experience level, more about what you plan to use it for! Thanks for watching!
Could you elaborate on why pistol grip is not good for hunting and clay shooting? I'm going to buy my 1st shotgun, sxp long beard which has a pistol grip.
@@benwu3150 It's not the most comfortable for carrying it around all day. and some reviews I've seen say the slide release is difficult to manipulate with the pistol grip
Bought a Winchester sxp 20 ga. Pump. Wished I hadn’t. Got it two years ago and have never fired it. Touch the slide release button and the action doesn’t slide open on its own. I have to apply a little force to the slide to break the action open. I don’t know if it is the beech block or the action bars causing the problem. So far; the only use I have found for it is propping my safe door open. Winchester JUNK.
Hey @d.j.2068 , @FallHuntsman is correct, I am not a professional videographer. Just getting into the gun reviews and I would actually love to hear what you would like to see better! I recorded this video solo so it was definitely a learning curve. Our main business is custom game calls and hunting gear, so I would love to hear what I could do different in gun reviews, thanks!

Sounds like a nice piece! I appreciate the feedback man!

What is the price for a winchester S X 4 bird hunting gun ?
You get the SXP with 3,5 inch chamber☝️
Yessir!!
it looks like you can replace the magazine spring - after taking off the magazine cap...
am i right ?
Yes, that is correct!

I haven’t had an issue with the 12 but not sure about the 20, what ammo have you been running through it?
Is a loose bolt shield a common issue with these shotguns? Mine has got quite a bit of wiggle. I’ve got the 3.5 chambered SXP waterfowl
I would say it’s common on almost all shotguns. I’ve seen it happen on everything from a $200 Mossberg to a $2000 benilli
Would you recommend the pistol grip model for those who are new to using guns?

I'll buy it from you
Interesting, I’d say break it in by firing it haha
Horrible review. Production was terrible. Do the proprietors not understand the idea of rehearsal?
That’s a bit harsh. I don’t think these guys are professional videographers, they’re just doing their best.
