    Hey nice video I do wish you would have really did research on tacticon armament they are a USA Company that makes quality equipment for real use. And they make there products they are not Chinese like you stated. Please do go support them as the owner and most workers are us army vets. Please go do serious research on them as this video is really misleading although nice setup and glad to see you doing what you want as far as equipment and not what everyone says!!

      They still do manufacture alot of stuff off shore though. Not everything they have is made in the US, doesnt mean theyre bad. I think they focus on certain things being made here in the US especially their armor. I have a couple of their belts and med pouches just wait till stff goes 50-60% off and you can get everything for much cheaper. I think i spent $23 on each of my belts

      I have several of their pieces of equipment (including a plate carrier) and their stuff is great for the price. Their metal flip-up sights are amazing! I have done some testing with those things and although they aren’t fail proof (what is?), for $30 you can not beat them!

    I’m so poor, all my gear is surplus ALICE. For less than $100 total, I was able to build a belt/harness setup that has carrying capability for two quarts of water, a butt pack for essential gear, twelve, yes twelve, thirty round AR mags, an IFAK, two spare pistol mags, flashlight, compass and a fixed/heavy blade knife. That setup will see me through a three day patrol. Add a medium ALICE pack to that belt/harness kit and I could stay out indefinitely.

    Good stuff brother. I just have 2 things for you. That's what the community is all about helping each other out and giving each other things to think about. Alright so first thing, Im not sure but from looking at the construction of the belt I think that inner layer peels off. If it does just run that through your belt loops, that will give you that riggid no sag that your after and illiminate those snag hazards if you ever have to run just the belt without the carrier over it. Second thing I have for you, get yourself and dangler if you really want to run your tourniquet there, I use to do the hairband onto method and I have discovered that when you really need it it was hard to remove, a dangler tourniquet pouch was much quicker. That's all I got for you brother if it's feasible give it a try and let me know what you think. I'm attempting to make a business out of this sort of thing so I would like the feedback.

    nothing wrong with airsoft gear especially the higher end stuff, those guys run it through it's paces with mil sim events etc. even just running it in a game every weekend or so will weed out the weak equipment, so maybe if on a budget check out the airsoft community for what gear they recommend for mil sim etc. also on the bump helmet subject you could get one of the cheap chinese ballistic helmets instead that would maybe give you some extra protection while not expecting it to take a direct round but it could be better than nothing, I say could because even a full price real deal ballistic helmet as you said might stop the bullet but the damage from the deformation would likely leave you with a serious head injury possibly to the point that it might of been better to not survive. Anyway really great video I wish I lived somewhere that didn't make you need a firearms license for nerf guns 😆I'm not even joking either, some states in Australia have banned them & gel blasters (don't even bother about airsoft lol) & other states have classed them the same as an actual firearm lmao god what a joke, luckily(?) I live in the only state that lets us own gel blasters still, so I can buy the really really cheap gear & larp like I'm an American lol Never let them take those rights away, you never get them back

    • @johnnybobtrucker4416
      @johnnybobtrucker4416  Год назад +2

      I've watched some video of mil-sim events, and I've got some serious respect for those guys. They're doing things for sure. They're practicing strategy and tactics while also sweating in gear and getting a workout. In my experience here in America, there are lots of guys who own guns that Larp way harder than most of these Mil-sim guys because they don't do the things.
      There is nothing wrong with larping anyway, just men being men.
      As far as Australian gun laws, I feel for ya. They do say the mind is the true weapon, and you've always got your mind and your mitts, man.

    I agree. A lot of this stuff doesn’t need to be high end. I have condor plate carriers. They’re plenty good and tough. I had a guy tell me they wouldn’t hold up for more than a year of active combat, I said neither will I. He had a $350 belt. 😂 I agree on the plates too. I got the level 4 composite ones from LA police gear after watching tests where they far exceeded the spec. Good plates aren’t that expensive anymore. Id like to find some light weight side plates at a reasonable price though. They cost almost as much as the main plates. I bought some steel side plates and hell no. They are way too heavy.

    • @johnnybobtrucker4416
      @johnnybobtrucker4416  Год назад +2

      I've been on a fitness kick lately, and I was throwing on my ceramic plates in my old carrier. They got all stinky and moldy from sweat, so I bought some 9 pound weight plates and slapped them in. I've been doing "split" murphs, trail & treadmill runs, and sprints in a 20-pound carrier. It's a nightmare, you add gear, mags, etc. It's hell. The lighter you are, the better off you are.
      All this stuff modern soldiers carry seems like the modern-day equivalent of civil war battle lines. The lighter the army the more effective. Just my thought.

    I’m in a similar situation (single income, homeschooled kids, etc.) and I’m totally on the same page. There are certain pieces of gear that you shouldn’t cheap out on. Plates, for example. Primary mag pouches. But everything doesn’t have to be Crye and Esstac. Do your homework though, because there are tier levels in budget gear too. Tacticon, Krydex, Condor and usually Onetigris are good to go. I’d avoid the others or buy and test before trusting.

    @Johnny Bob Trucker. Get Magpul Gen 3 mags. Some things are worth getting the best. As most malfunctions are mag related, it's a critical item. Besides, they're usually under $20 and weigh less than NATO STANAG mags.
    You can buy a Brit or Kenyan vest. And wear 3A body armor underneath.
    Most murders in the USA are by handgun rounds. The 3A is just a couple pounds but offers far better protection than what our soldiers had in Vietnam and even Desert Storm. I never saw a SAAPI plate in my units in my almost decade career as a US Army Light Infantry Squad Leader, almost 40 yrs ago.
    Shoot, I feel super protected with my plate carrier and 3A inserts when I'm chasing after poachers or dealing with methead zombies here in Ozarkistan. I know from experiences: handguns, .22s and shotguns are the most common weapons they carry. In a SHTF situation, I think that will also be what's most frequently encountered. These are the most common firearms in America today.

    I’m a father of 5 also (all girls). My wife does the stay at home/homeschooling deal also. It’s because we share that together I’m commenting on your video. I’m going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume when making this video, you were aware of the condition of that pistol when you put your hand (and maybe other parts of your body) in front of the muzzle. I’m also of the firm belief that a person has a right to handle their firearms however they darn well please. The only reason I mention it, is because I know I need both my hands working on the dairy I’m at to help provide for the 6 women in my household. Just pointing it out, “in case” it was needed to remind a fellow brother to stay sharp. I had a buddy do the same for me 3 weekends back when we were shooting. Had to swallow my pride and thank him. Now, none of that may pertain to this situation, but if you are looking to be a voice in the lives of guys like me or others less experienced, I would humbly suggest cleaning up that gun handling a bit, even if you know everything is safe. Anyway, I’m a just a nobody commenting on YT so you can tell me to shove it, but I like seeing new gun channels on YT and want them all to succeed to get the message out there to as many as possible. Dude, I bought a second plate carrier and plates because my 1st one is really heavy (steel plates). So I went with ceramic and it's almost just as heavy as the steel.
    Bunch a BULL SHEIT.
    Nice kit by the way.

      Duritium plates are the way to go for weight vs. threat level bro. It's expensive, but lvl 4(+?) plates are 5 pounds a piece.
      I have ceramic too. Still heavy.
      Duritium is next.

      @johnnybobtrucker4416 Baby Face P has a good video on modernizing an ACH. Going as far as to cut the ears. But I didn't feel like cutting the ears. Left them on. Some Razors will fit under the wings of the helmet, just fine and you don't "potentially" compromise the helmet.

    I have a little more disposable income than you, so I can afford some of the higher-quality gear...and let's not kid ourselves: you *absolutely* get what you pay for...but I love seeing guys out there making things work for them and their situation, which is what all of this is all about. I'd rather see some guy with airsoftium (which isn't even a bad thing, in many cases) spending time and energy honing their craft than for some guy to buy gucci gear and then sell it two months later. @@johnnybobtrucker4416 successful business or not that’s exactly what it is, a business trying to sell people stuff at outrageously inflated prices. Military surplus gear is just as good as any expensive stuff.
      I’m a retired cop, we all wore uncle mikes gun belts with the plastic buckles and it lasted for decades wearing it 8, 10 and 12 hours a day 5 days a week. You don’t need 100.00 cobra buckles. Just one of many examples.
