Is The Urantia Book that "Greater Record to Come" as Prophesied in the Book of Mormon? (Part 1)

The Book of Mormon contains a plethora of prophecies regarding the ―greater record to come.‖ It asserts itself as only a "lesser portion" of what was to be revealed in the "last days," the days when "all things would be revealed" concerning time, space, our origins, the cosmology of deity, "whether there be one God or many gods," the greater understandings of Adam and Eve and ultimately -- the "greater things" Jesus taught. The LDS church no longer openly acknowledges this "greater record to come." Many believe The Urantia Book is the promised blessing once prophesied - perhaps even the "two-thirds sealed plates" which founder, Joseph Smith, acknowledged he was not permissioned to translate.
I've always been fascinated by the connections I see in the BOM and the Urantia Book but for me, I felt like the BOM was too consumed with the Old Testament and not involved enough in the teachings of the New Testament. Urantia has answered sufficiently (for me, at least) all of my questions about the bible, the BOM, and many other teachings on the planet and how, exactly, they all connect. This is really exciting to me. I'll have to read up in the BOM on this "greater record to come".
I looked at the LDS Church, read The Book of Mormon, Doctrines and Covenants, The Pearl of Great Price, and the Truth of Christ did come to me after I asked God about the Truth. I had a great conversion experience into the Body of Christ. Something wouldn't allow me to attend any church or have any one lay hands on me to receive The Gift of the Holy Ghost. God gave me the Gift of the Holy Ghost Himself, right in my living room all alone. I have been shown Love and Truth are the only religion.
A fascinating, inspiring, wonderful talk. Learned a lot from this. Very worthwhile for Urantia students.
If you read the book honestly you will be amazed at how much perspective and peace grows inside you over time.
IVE READING ABOUT MORMONISM FOR THE PAST TWO MONTH AND SPECKING WITH A MISSIONARY SISTER OVER THE PHONE AND THEN I FIND MYSELF BEING LEAD TO URANTIA.Explain this to me.

The Urantia book is very real and basicly required reading in these days and times.
Great linking up with the Mormon theory - The UB is so very close to the Mormons - I call it a psudo acknowledgement of it being a possible revelation but not yet understood with a criitical mass at its core - but I am sure that is coming! Truth will win.

The Mormon church was started in 1830.
The Seventh Day Adventists started somewhere around 1860.
Both of them sought to provide rational answers to the morass Christianity found itself in and how and when Christ would be returning.
The Urantia Book was initiated by veterans of the Seventh Day Adventists, and had the same aims.
Like Mormonism it placed God and Heaven in the Universe.
I would suggest that those seeking a rational Christianity look to the New Church teachings of Emanuel Swedenborg from the 17 hundreds and to the life and utterances of Emperor Haile Selassie 1, of Ethiopia, Head of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, the oldest and most Apostolic form of Christianity on earth.

We can read it. I found a lot of my questions answered from being brought up in fundamental Christianity, and going to Bible college to be a minister.

If we don't need to wait for institutions to tell us the answers to things, why should we ask the LDS Church to tell whether or not the Urantia Book is the greater revelation or not???

Long time ago I asked the custodians of the URANTIA BOOK to release the original papers in their website. Why don't they answer yet? Somebody might help?

If you have too much time on your hands start actually reading the urantia with an open mind. Its a very insightful book. Although I grew up listening to my dad talking about the bible and urantia I didnt always believe in God simply because I thought the bible was a load of lies until I picked one up teamed it with the urantia and hey presto faith restored.
Hopefully you may listen to your thought Adjuster. You know that little voice in your head that you probably ignore a lot of the time thats the thought adjuster but then again you sound too ignorant to let your Adjuster speak!!

F Stöver I know that but its pretty convincing and what is able to be proven has been proven. Everything else feels correct to me. I believe you follow what feels right to you. If that means you dont believe in God at all then ok. If your A devout christian then ok. But I wont hide my thought that I think this book is real 😊
The Urania Book , is the 5th Major Revelation of Truth. Jesus was the 4th major Revelation of Truth because the Revelation of Truth is an Ongoing Process. We Recieve more Truth ONLY when we are Ready for it.... Why dont you try reading it before you make comments on something you know nothing about and avoid making a Fool of yourself

Why are different dates for Easter time from Catholics versus Orthodox. Why so many churches like The 7 days Adventists, Pentecostals, Bahai, Evangelists, Baptists so on and so forth. Why they all have just a piece of the pie and ONLY Mormons are true. At least this is what they say.
Also why if Mormon Church is “the truest” and the priesthood was “restored” on Earth in the last days by the prophet Joseph Smith and how God can give a commandment like polygamy and then retract it?
Buy and read the Urantia book. The answers are there. You will be a more devout Christian after reading it.
If you believe in Christ as our redeemer…I am wondering why is His opinion about the many religions and denominations in the World today and the division in Christianity. Why are human so divided on the dogma when in fact is one Christ, God and one truth. I have never reconciled to this idea in my mind.
Why it is that way on planet Earth so much hatred and religion wars and I am wondering who is benefitting from this division.
