You need to collect a minimum of red gems to access them (you need the manual to know how many) However, after playing chapter 7 and 8 many times and looking thouroughly I was still missing one gem. I was so much in love with this game in the 90's. I never had a SNES but there were places where you could buy time to play on one. This is of the games I loved the most but it was really difficult. Watching Mowgli dance everytime he completed a stage was hilarious. I never forgot his dancing 😆
Khaa the snake seemed to be the more difficult boss at the time when I played the game with my sister as a kid. We never could get past him. The owl that appears in some of the levels will give you hearts if you hit him with the banana, and one hit per heart until fully replenished.
I have no idea why, but I remember the game cutting out after the third level for me, like it just went back to the main menu. Anyone else have this issue?
If you played it on easy mode, it would boot you back to the main menu after getting to the third level. If you want to progress past the 3rd level, you'd have to play the game in Normal or Hard Mode. And even on easy mode this game is ruthless.

I never knew there was a manual back then for the game. Most of what was found completely by curiousity.

This version is hard and different from NES and Genesis versions, despite it having music and animations from the latter.
Press Very fast right at the behining with Red logo.. will make you cheat and fly above all the levels.on Labyrinth level cheat doesnt work.
I had this game on the sega but I wonder if this’ll be the same type
those 2 are quite different on each platform. The genesis version will get its own longplays some time.
