Billy a good singer, successful throughout the 80s. To me never got the recognition he deserved. Believe he's still performing. Again my favorite decades for music the 60s and the 80s.

This is one of my favorite Billy Idol songs. I was 12 when this came out on May 5, 1984. It's a very dreamy sounding song.
it's a masterful song, it's as much French Impressionistic, as much Monet and Matisse and Corot as it is Punk. Try to sit down an play it on piano. By ear: Intro/Verse:

The guitarist's name is Steve Stevens and he played the guitar on Michael Jackson's Dirty Diana.

This is one of my favorites of Billy's. I also love his song "Rock the Cradle of Love". Check it out, if you haven't already. He has so many awesome songs. Always felt that he did not get the recognition he deserved. He's a very talented man.
You're right... it's one of the vibey and chill songs from Billy Idol, but still had some "hint" of something in the background. This is one of my favorite songs of his. Blue Highway is another.
One of my faves. The backing singers' line is, "Les yeux sans visage," the title in French. A characteristic touch of introspection and autobiography throughout the lyrics.

The hand clap. Love it. So 80's. His music sounds even better driving in your car with a nice sound system. One time I rode a roller coaster with headphones on listening to his song Rebel Yell. The ride was so loud I could barely hear the music. He's got about 7 or 8 good songs.
