    Within the next two years I'll have a shed built 17 ft by hopefully 11 ft. I'll have only 7 arcade one-ups to fit in it with a couch and a TV wall mount with all my console systems, HOWEVER, I'm nuts, I'll be building my own party cades to put on the wall with 20 inch monitors if I put all my cabinets in the middle back to back I can double the amount of games, possibly 25 to 30 games. That many games in that size shed with enough walk around room is challenging but I'm convinced I can do it. Also to make a thin but strong counters I'm actually going to cut four player games in half put them on this counter cut the back of it minimize the artwork put 2 four player games on each end, and four more games in the middle(stools go underneath)but on the opposite side I'll be putting the X-Men 8 player version. Maybe a 42-46" tv? This will take work but it all comes down to room and how much space I lose with the overhang of the buttons. I did not know if fast and furious was multiplayer? is it only two players? or you could do more than two players? I plan on getting outrun eventually but also putting fast and furious on it with two partycade steering games as well, maybe three if I can fit them so if there's any four player racing games I can still do it.

    Cornercade,
    How best should I start this comment? How about... LET'S GO! A video I look forward to is the home arcade tour, and Dude, yours is one clean arcade! And I like that it feels like a purposed arcade and not a mancave. The layout is FIRE and the decor has an actual theme and it's not just a hodgepodge of random stuff, which is something I really appreciate.
    And I'll get this out of the way before I raise some more praise on what you've done here. Cornercade, here's where I REALLY APPRECIATE a differing opinion. I can tell, aesthetically, that the look of riser-less machines is important to you. And the way you describe the love for that design makes me hope you get more of these and I'm sending good vibes to Arcade1Up that they keep bringing out this design. For me, risers have been, from day one, an absolute boon, because as I get older, I find I can't move as heavy of things as I used to. And as far as aesthetics go, I've never paid risers any mind. And they've never once taken away from any of my nostalgia. In fact, I've never once stepped into my home arcade and thought, "These aren't real arcade machines, there be risers everywhere, burn it to the ground!" I've been playing video arcade machines since their earliest days, and throughout those many years, I've seen machines in all shapes, sizes, and even several cabinet variants for the same game. So, when Arcade1Up came onto the scene with their own design, using an optional riser concept, it was just another arcade machine to me, something exciting and new. But I'm all about options, and seeing how a riser-less design excites you, I'm glad that we both get cabinets that we like. Risers going away would hurt for me, so I'm still hoping that I will have that option.
    Now, let's get to that House of the Dead poster! That's the next cabinet I want to see in the Cornercade! Arcade1Up, MAKE IT HAPPEN! Oh, and I also appreciate the Hydro Thunder Love! Best racing game of all time (to me)!
    I had no idea that the padding on the walls was soundproofing! It's so decorative and looks fantastic! I actually have lights by Nanoleaf and Govee with the same shapes! And speaking about Govee... You have amazing taste! I love Govee and they make incredible lighting!
    It's also funny how great minds work alike. I also extended my room by utilizing the closet space! The arcade is no place to hang up clothes, so why not extend the excitement of the room utilizing all space available! I'm using mine as a place to extend one of my home arcade's sub-themes, housing my Halloween villages! Oh, and we gots to talk about the door. This might be something to consider if you want to avoid taking off the door, but either way, a great idea for adding a new machine. What I did to avoid taking off my door, is I added a Partycade to that wall! It still allows me to open the door with no issue and walk into the arcade normally. Just an option :)
    You've created something pretty spectacular with the space you've chosen. And since I've built my home arcade, I've found that space isn't as limiting of a factor as some might think. It's what you do with that space that really matters. When deciding to actually build a dedicated home arcade in my house, I deliberately chose to keep it to one room. Not that I needed to limit myself in any way, I could technically turn the entire house into a home arcade if I wanted to, but I really wanted to see what kind of magic I could create with a willful set amount of space. And boy, did I discover, and keep discovering, how much I can keep evolving and expanding my home arcade's capability within an intentional amount of room. 2023 isn't the end of my expansion and changes. 2024 is upon us and I'm still coming up with new stuff. It actually made me feel giddy to hear the wheels turn in your head about how you can update your space. I can't wait to see how it turns out!
    Cornercade, I wasn't really sure about your channel in the beginning. I'm sure as heck glad that I came back to give it another chance.
    Take care and THANK YOU for allowing us to experience your home arcade! Stay Wiggly!

    So cool, man! Definitely inspiring me to start making my own little Arcade room! 🤗.. Was wondering (cause I’ve never owned a 1-Up before) How does the joysticks and buttons actually feel on these things? I mean, I know they’ll never be able to fully replicate those true humongous 80’s arcade-machines, but since one is gonna be hammering down on those buttons all the time, and yanking around that joystick constantly, I just wanna hear your thoughts on how it all feels to you??? Honestly, does it feel kinda cheap, or does the buttons/joystick feel sturdy enough?

    • @TheCornerCade
      @TheCornerCade  8 месяцев назад +1

      The buttons and sticks hold up just fine, they aren’t real arcade controls by a long shot, but once you have been playing these things for a while you get used to them. Do I wish they had REAL controls of course.. but you can always swap them out tons of people have done it!

    • @TheCornerCade
      @TheCornerCade  8 месяцев назад +1

      Most of them are flawless my Atari 50 came with a little scratch on the gold trim in front of the marquee. Other then that arcade1up used to replace the damaged parts for free, no if something is damaged you have to just exchanged it or return it.
