    the best setup ever you can roll over with out tangling up in the hose , you can lay on one side or the other with out losing air , going on 1 year and still love it paired with the resmed 11.

    i just got this mask from amazon as my local cpap dealer doesn't even offer it. i was given the over the nose mask which i hated. after much time online and many youtube videos this mask is the one i ended up with and i love it. great for side sleeping and back sleeping. i got small and medium cushion. the small seems to fit my nose better but is small around my mouth and the medium is big on my nose but good fit around my mouth. the medium frame fits perfectly. i settled on the medium cushion and tighten the straps a bit to keep it in place. only have 1 issue that occurs once or twice a week is that my nostrils where the mask sits are sore in the morning. this goes away within minutes of taking off the mask and massaging my nose. my partner complains that the airflow from the holes in the front of the mask can be very strong when i face that way.

      Thank you for sharing your experience with the F30i in such detail! The air outlet ports have been an inconvenience with the F30i, they need some sort of diffuser. Hopefully ResMed will release an updated F30i that address this.

    You mentioned near the end of this video that it was a good idea to change masks occasionally. This is my first and only mask. I do need to have the hose on top of my head. Can you suggest an alternative mask for me. (Getting dents in my shaved head after using nightly for 8 months….Thank you

    Not a comfortable mask for your partner (and possibly yourself). A mistral of wind comes out of the front through the tiny holes (in front of your mouth). You even feel a stream of air as far as from 2 meters away (6 feet). Incredible. It is hardly mentioned anywhere.

    • @RespShop
      @RespShop  2 года назад +3

      Hello Martin,
      the stream of air your feel is coming from your exhalation port, all masks have one depending on where it is located on your mask. The F30i does have one in the front and another on top where the connector is. This is so you do not breathe in your CO2. Also depending on how high your pressures goes you will feel this air more through the ports.

      100% this. Way too much air comes out the front. I couldn’t fall asleep with it on due to the air. So it’s back to the F20.

    Does sleeping on your side cut off the airflow? I'd imagine it would for the side you're on. Any info there would be great, thanks!

    • @RespShop
      @RespShop  4 года назад +1

      Hello Chris, Sleeping on your side does not seem to effect your airflow in our in-house testing. It is true that it closes off one side of the mask frame, however air will flow normally. In fact this mask was designed with side sleepers in mind. In other types of full face hybrids the plastic is often too thin near your nose to sleep at an angle. However, the F30i creates a decent barrier, in our experience, between your nose and the hard plastic no matter which angle you are sleeping in. Hope this helps!

      no my partner uses the dreamwear full face which is basically this mask if one side gets led on the pressure just doubles up down the non squashed side

      I have this mask and have to use cpap jell to help with leaks from the mask. I have tried all the masks and somehow I have to tighten them down that leaves marks on my face. Since I've been on cpap therapy I still don't get a descent night sleep. I'm sleepy during the day.

    I would like to know how to keep the air from going up to my eyes. It says I don't have any leaks however I can feel some air going into my eyes.

      wear a sleep mask under the CPAP mask. Dual benefit, keeps air from blowing on your eyes and also block out ambient light. Even a small amount of light can effect your sleep.

    I like everything about this mask, except that it makes my nose hurt. I don't mean sores. I mean my entire nose aches in the morning. Must be some adjustment I need to make. It was so uncomfortable that I stopped using it for a while. About to try again. Anyone know if there are special pads or something that might help? Again, not sores. Aching.

    • @RespShop
      @RespShop  9 месяцев назад

      Thank you for watching! When you said your entire nose aches, do you mean it's dry and sore? The F30i only touches the nose at the front and underneath so we're a little confused :)

    Is the framework specific to the F30i? I use the N30i with the standard size framework. If the tubing connects in the same area near the nose, I may only need to purchase the head straps and the mask, saving some $$$

    • @RespShop
      @RespShop  2 года назад +1

      The frame work for the P30i and N30i are compatible. However, the F30i is different as there is needed support for the jaw area as well.

    I would Love & enjoy trying the F30i out!
    I'm using the F30 mask now but the way it fits this big guy is not the best feeling for me 😓! And the only thing that I'm not very happy about is it feels as if I'm getting an indent on top of my head & it's changing my hair everywhere on my head! I still have a bit of a sealing problem but I was told that there was not much more can be done & you'll have to live with it! Maybe Y'all could try working with a person like me to test new cushioning or strap fitment! I think that this stuff with the strap fitment might be the best way to fix my type of issues that I have! But I not getting my air filters & mask replacements on time! I'm the one that is always having to call them about my supplies! And still waiting for my recall replacement & I filled early too! Maybe I just say the hell with sleep & unplug the machine & see how long I can go "without sleeping" before I stop breathing!?!

    Can you compare the dreamwear full face mask with a F30i. But it looks like the f3i fit more snugly on my nose, I can't wait to try it hopefully the VA will have it

    • @RespShop
      @RespShop  4 года назад +1

      Hello Gary, We are always open to suggestions and can certainly do a video in the future comparing these two masks. For now I would say the F30i in general has more of a cushion around your nose however. Also if the VA does not currently have this mask please let us know as we do offer Veteran's discounts at RespShop.com

      Already got the f30i when I pay little by little for it. But I do wrote think after TI with the Fisher Paykel vitera that I got from the VA. They're both good mask for rotation like you said. But I will get the cushion from you guys with a veteran discount thank you

    Is it difficult to keep the nostrils lined up with the opening? (I am used to full-face masks)
    Is the sizing similar to the full-face mask? (I am assuming that a medium full face would be replaced with a medium f30i

    • @RespShop
      @RespShop  4 года назад +1

      Hello, Is is essentially a traditional full face mask, with the main difference being that it does not cover your nose. As far as lining up the nostrils, it is not hard to keep the nostrils in place as long as you have the correct size. That said we do have a pdf you can print out on RespShop.com ( www.respshop.com/manuals/F30%20Size.pdf?pdf=F30-Size ). Simply print and size yourself before purchasing the mask. At the time of writing this, we also have the mask on sale for $134, as apposed to the usual $169. The page itself can be found here: www.respshop.com/cpap-masks/full-face/resmed-airfit-f30-cpap-full-face-mask-p-1232.html

    How does the fit of the F30i mask compare to the Dreamwear full-face? I use a small Dreamwear.

    • @RespShop
      @RespShop  4 года назад

      these two masks are very similar, however double check the sizing gauge before deciding size as all masks can be slightly different. We have a great mask assurance policy so you can try it at no risk to yourself.

    Does this have an extension for the Airmini? People have told me that I snore more on my Airsense 10 than my Airmini so I was hoping the freedom line of masks would finally have an Airmini adapter.

      Hello Alfred, ResMed does not have an official connector, but we do carry one from another manufacturer. However, please be aware, if you plan to use the HumidX packs they will not work. Instead you will need a Heat Moisture Exchanger for humidity. The connector can be found here: www.respshop.com/cpap-supplies/tubing/airmini-connector-weqicare-medical-p-1384.html and the Heat Moisture Exchanger can be found here: www.respshop.com/cpap-masks/parts/othe-parts/hdm-z1-heat-and-moisture-exchanger-p-763.html

    Is this mask still good if you breath through your nose mostly?

    • @RespShop
      @RespShop  4 года назад +1

      Hello John, it can still be helpful if you wish the air to be more dispersed before you inhale. This is especially helpful for those who have higher pressure within their masks. That said, if you only breathe through your nose and have a lower pressure you may be more interested in the N30i ( www.respshop.com/cpap-masks/nasal/resmed-airfit-n30i-starter-pack-p-1294.html ) or the P30i ( www.respshop.com/cpap-masks/nasal-pillows/resmed-airfit-p30i-pillow-cpap-mask-starter-pack-p-1343.html )

      if its anything like the dreamwear variation yes its perfect for nose breathers as the air goes more to the nose than the mouth but still fully functional incase of a cold

      Hi there,
      most full face masks are hard to seal with a full beard. You can always try a nasal pillows mask with a chin strap if the air leak is still bothering you. Please feel free to call us at 866 936 3754 if you have any questions and don't forget to Like and Subscribe for more CPAP content!
