In Brazil all we want is for Ford to reduce their incredibly high profit margins a little bit and put 2 airbags in their cars. While Europeans complain about 7 airbags and ESP, all we want is for Ford and other car manufacturers to acknowledge that our lives are as important to them as in Europe or the US by offering the basic safety components in a car.
A fantastic review which is really helpful, thank you very much for producing this solid and high quality review, I am definitely planning on getting this Car. Cheers Peter
I bought one today the 1.25 titanium,2011 and I hope I've done a good deal.
If its not to late, avoid the 1.25 which i have and hate it. Enjoy if you did buy it. Best wishes.
@@mouradmou4546 Hello There, I hope you got a grade deal and that you're enjoying your new car. Cheers Peter :-)
@@colinbell-NI Hello There, I haven't purchased one yet, but I am planning on getting the 1.4L engine. Cheers Peter :-)
@@petermc7098 check the steering wheel before you part money as a batch left factory with no grease in the column. This makes knocking noises when you turn the steering wheel. It's a pretty easy fix and Ford were meant to do it under warranty. Also watch stereo control on steering wheel as the buttons may nor work, I'm waiting for that fix, I think the button comes out for air clean or replacement, but I just use the knob on dash. Best wishes to you.
For you people who are complaining about how many airbags it comes with, you should know that in Brazil it comes with zero airbags and it comes out of the same plant as the one in North America. Plus we pay just about US$26,000.00. So I guess that way the europeans wont´t feel so bad with the comparisons with the american model, but in the US it comes with 10 airbags and not 11 as someone said before.
In Thailand , base 1.4 Style come with driver airbag and ABS , but 1.5 Trend/Sport and 1.6 Sport+ come with addition of front passenger airbag , but superb in 1.6 Sport Ultimate (Hatch only) come with 7 Airbags , alarm and cruise
the American version has side & curtain airbags as standard issue.. I think there's 11 air bags in the US Fiesta.. you could take the thing over Niagara falls !! I must admit, because I own a Fiesta, and am very used to the cabin layout, it's very weird seeing everything on the wrong side of the car as in this video.

They are good cars to drive, and feel pretty well made and reliable, but what car seem to say it’s easy on fuel, mine certainly isn’t
my 1.25 drinks fuel like there's no tomorrow
@@chazteb same to me here
@@chazteb I only get around 35 mpg
I have the 1.6 titanium, and is nice 😊
Me to 🙂😀
She meant to say rear electric windows did anybody else notice that
I did
I have the 1.25 and it is as dead as a do-do and makes driving so tiring and hard work. And pretty bumpy ride finding every bump and pot in the road. Thirsty too on the petrol. I do like the dash though as its nice and simple to operate. Sorry i bought it and cant wait to change.
I find it’s a nice car to drive, but the petrol consumption is terrible, and I don’t drive fast nor hard
@@matthewsmith2787 Me too, I'm the exact same. At least it is cheap to insure.
Colin Bell It is, I guess that’s the main thing
I agree, that enigine is getting on a bit. The 1.0 EcoBoost turbo has much more torque lower down, very nippy and quick without revving the enigine. Quite suprizing for a small enigine.
@@user-mg2qz6ep2o I would definitely consider the eco boost, although I would pick a later model
and the brazilian engine doesn't have the variable valve timing :(
Ford did it here❤
Good record in reliability.lol had an ST. it was garbage. xenon headlights failed twice. syncro,s went in gearbox and was only 1year old with 9000miles. plastics started to wear on fall off. yes had it all done under warranty but who thinks this will happen with a new car? father in law had new fiesta and same again back to the garage monthly. had a renault 200cup 2 years now. not 1 problem. hmm whish people wouldn,t believe these reliability tests.
The manual and the smaller engines are quiet reliable, especially the 1.5 turbo diesel engine.
Cheers. Plus the European version is made in Germany while the NA version is made in Mexico.
@Prostreetcrazy Not the same class! 207 vs Fiesta is a more proper comparison.
same in the philippines
Also, in N. America this car is made in Mexico. Ford tries to create the 'Made in 'Murrica' image but then outsources to Mexico just to save money. Pathetic.
Nice car I am going to buy one, but this style of presentation sucks, so impersonal
Mhm
Fiesta.
the peugeot 208 beats that
Only if you like French cars
