I think that this scene is part of why we won't be seeing the Quartermaine family try to help Nikolas on the current GH and that's because the Quartermaine family is almost nonexistent on GH now. I also don't think Taggert ever understood that Nikolas would and will do anything to protect Gia and that he loved Gia more than anything including Emily. I want Spencer to see that his father wasn't always as aloof as he is now. We also find out that Nikolas's favorite Cassadine relative is his Aunt Alexis. I think Gia can help Nikolas in a way that Emily, Liz and Ava never could because no one else in Nikolas's life ever put first like Gia did and there's always something negative going on with Ava's agenda and in my opinion Ava is someone who always gets in her own way. Gia and Nikolas made an effort not to get in each other's way and I think part of Nikolas is always with Gia and this was before we met Trina who I think is Nikolas and Gia's daughter.
