I'm so stoked for this!!! When they were talking about the universal horror movies being horror-focused but not necessarily too scary for kids, it actually reminded me of how much I LOVED the Wolf Man when I was about 6 years old. The movie sort of frightened me, but I was just captivated by it for some reason- I think of the universal horror movies as more, like, dark fantasy rather than 'horror' (like horror as we define it today). Anyways, I'm so excited for Dark Universe!!!
Good job this time, guys. This one , to me, felt more natural. It's not near as MEGA DISNEY CRINGY as some of the other ones I've watched...or tried to watch. Question: How the hell can someone named Maleva be Asian? It's clearly Eastern European. But she does look beautiful and with cool design.
I can’t wait to meet my favorite Universal Classic Monster, The Phantom of the Opera! Hopefully, he takes the form of the better looking version from 1943! I must say that the 1943 version of The Phantom is handsomer than that Police Inspector from the same movie! What was that Police Inspector’s name, again?
I’m not beaching Lon Cheney. I just prefer the 1943 version of The Phantom! By the way, the very same set was used for both the 1925 and the 1943 versions of The Phantom of the Opera! I just thought I’d mention that!
The new creature designs is what I’m most concerned about. The originals are classic and I’ve been disappointed with how they have been modernized for Halloween Horror Nights. Some of those designs have looked goofy. I’m not saying that the characters can’t be modernized. I just hope they come up with good designs.
These theme park designers know their audience. Just enough classic nostalgia for the adults but an appeal to a younger modern audience that has no real connection to the classic monsters. This will be their legacy characters.
I mean I guess its a try, but following an official ad podcast is probably one of the most uncool things on earth especially considering everything leaks.
yep these ad channels are mostly useless untill they cut everyone off. But they wont because the sposored people have too much revenue to compete with.
Thank you for confirming that I'm not the only one that thought this. The guests are fine, I like what they have to say about the park. I'm sorry, but the fake interactions between the hosts is what makes it hard for me to watch completely.
I came to the comments section ...THIS TIME... to actually compliment them on a more natural feeling session. I didn't think this one felt near as "MEGA DISNEY STYLE CRINGY" aa the other ones I've seen.
This is a great podcast featuring one sincere nerd who lived out his dream of building the world of Universal Monsters and four weird fake opportunists who are hating every second of it
It's so embarrassing to hear them congratulate themselves on how they're honouring the Monsters when this thing has NO traction among Monsters fans. It's barely being talked about, and the one time it does come up there are 40 people saying it looks like crap for every one person who likes it. They had a real opportunity to spotlight the iconic Monsters with some much needed slow-moving dark rides that Universal sorely lacks. Instead they just gave us a roller coaster and a Harry Potter clone with generic "modernized" knock-off versions of generic werewolf and Hot Topic vampire. Like, no, we WANT to step into the 1930's and see animatronics of Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi. This isn't for Monsters fans, at all.
Monsters Unchained is the ride that everyone is talking about at Epic Universe. At least what I’ve been seeing. Sure, you have Super Nintendo World, How to Train Your Dragon, and Wizarding World of Harry Potter, But Dark Universe is THE land that most people are talking about! Universal Monsters are what really kicked off Universal and their brand. They’re iconic, scary, and pretty freaking cool! The Monsters Unchained ride is going to be fast paced, which is why I believe they chose to use the KUKA robocoaster again, more likely advanced than the one at Forbidden Journey. And the animatronics? My jaw fell to the floor when they released the video yesterday! They may not look scary to some now, but put them in the right scenery with some dark lighting, and you have yourself a scary monster. A slow moving ride would be nice, maybe they can add it in another area in Dark Universe later on?
We should never be afraid to slow things down. So that we make proper decisions leading to proper results. Patience is a virtue as slow and steady wins the race. Time is precious as time heals all wounds. Felons in prison can always face extensions if their conduct is improper or if officials feel as if their presence poses a threat to those outside of the establishment. Who knows what one may do for a nice meal? Nonetheless, this allows people to properly make correct decisions as absence makes the heart grow fonder.
close enough welcome back yeti a mode
I now want them to have a static werewolf hidden in there and give us Disco Werewolf to go with Werewolf A mode xD
Great informative episode and interview! And I’m really enjoying the hosts of the show! Keep it up!
Invisible Man: I’m beginning to worry about how I’d be depicted in Dark Universe. So far, I haven’t seen any animatronics of me!
that pile of stuff over there, a hat, glasses and a robe seemingly floating in air, unsupported. could be what you're "looking" for.
Ahhhh this is so exciting! I got my initial ticket and hotel package for the first week of June! Can’t wait to add on more epic universe tickets

We are pretty stoked about this one! So fun meeting these Creative Team Members!
This is going to be incredible. This ride is going to take theme parks to the next level from what we have seen so far. Cannot wait to ride it
“Dracula? I can fix him.”
This is the land I want to see most! Can't wait!!!
Love everything you guys are doing, perfect.
The cherry on top would be a stage show with Abbott and Costello meet the monsters / or meet Van Helsing
Do you understand this is an ad top to bottom right? they are not independant.
Love seeing Brian from Orlando. Go, Brian!

I hope the Stake House has just a normal human bartender from Arizi-zonia

An Average American Yankee Doodle Dandy would do quite nice.

As much as I love Caude Rains, the 1925 The Phantom of the Opera is much better. You just can't beach Lon Chaney.

Did you see the short video they released this morning of the animatronics? They look very impressive, massive and scary
@@ZanderHanna just saw it. I’m not disappointed. They did well. I’m excited for this.
They look really good imo. Modern but still have the classic look for the most part.

🙏 thank you very much!
Michelle!! I used to perform with her at universal

What happened to Kari and David?
Man I really want to watch this for the content. But I can't get past the scripted and fakeness. Maybe better actors? Back to my trusted vloggers.
There's enough info that I'm still listening, but the first 4 people felt like they were creating a Ride Pre-Show for a NBC Dark Ride 😂
I found it really interesting and informative because of the guests

Notice the lack of engagement on here per "subsciber count". It's pretty much fake here.
why is dark universe and potter getting all the attention
Disco wolfman cometh

@@dominicanheat2790 eh, it’s not that bad. I just skip over the parts where they yap about absolutely nothing.
Especially when they act dumb like "why are we talking about these monsters?" with the big banner behind them. Is this a podcast for 5 year olds?
