Something tells me this is in response to the comments on Reed Timmer's drone footage of Andover. It's remarkable how nearly invisible even a photogenic tornado can be from the air.
Sat in the Alvis retail park in Coventry UK a few years ago, facing south I saw an anticyclonic circulation flick the hedge in front of our car, right, then immediately left. I am guessing warmer air from the south west meeting colder air from the northeast led to some instability here in the English midlands. As you say ground activity can draw attention to a situation above.
I see a tornado as allmost like a very large atmospheric whirlpool , with the funnel cloud being an analog for the cone of air and bubbles and just like in a tornado , a large whirlpool caused by a potentialy deadly current can be near-invisable to swimers with a very wide yet barely noticable dip in the waterline
Thank you! In Colorado with high based storms and low dew points, MANY tornadoes aren't even reported.

Thanks for putting out this valuable information.

Awesome video with some great footage accompanying it, Dan!
Great vid/information
Depends… On Coney Island, a funnel cake needs a tornado mixer.

Needless and disappointing proselytization quote at the end there.
