Everyone can improve their turns! Just focus on your core and calves for conditioning and remember to bring your whole body around when you turn. You got this
Yes you are💗. It's easy when you are know exactly what you are doing. I don't know how you were learn it, we were learn it the way you build your muscles for it part by part through the couple of years, we didn't turn at all until we were ready and completely understand (in third grade). That's how Vaganova (and Cecchetti) method work. Check out ballet with Isabella, she's explained it into every tiny detail.
I love the ballet, and I love the personalities of everybody getting along and working to excel at their art. So beautiful. And I love the Frick & Frac photos with Tessa Mel❤️❤️❤️👍🏼👍🏼
reminds me of a math teacher i had whose policy was "if you start with um, your answer is immediately wrong" :-) i guess at least..we remember these teachers
"sorry?" is a lot less awkward and still polite, you can use it with friends and somewhere with a social hierarchy while sounding correct in both situations
Every time Eva says "Slawomir!", he always plays along with a funny look or gesture. I love these videos, the students, the ballet company...it's all so much fun!
Nah my parents never let us respond to with "what" as soon as she said i flentch. I learned spending the night at a friends house that her and her siblings respond to their parents with "what" and i was shocked that they werent told that was rude
Really? I've never heard that before. I mean, I guess if you were talking to the pope or the president and it was a formal occasion, but you can't say "what" to your parents!?
Exactly. Me still as old as I am with grandchildren. I still say to my elder and authority. Yes sir or mam, I'm sorry could you repeat yourself or could you say again. It's called manners.
I love when other authority figures can laugh at strict rules, but rules are there for a reason. Responding with "What?" is considered disrespectful in most places. Professionalism means minding your manners and I love Slawomir for enforcing that !!
omg so i was at a pointe class abt an hour ago and my friends and i were talking abt melanie’s turns, mayas nonexistent toe pads, and tessa using bandaids and all of a sudden my teacher heard us and says “tessa and maya?? how r they??” and we all turned around going “WHAT??” and then he said he used to teach them like omg the odds of finding out that my ballet teacher used to teach dancers from my favorite ballet channel?? that’s insane
I remember when Tessa didn’t believe she could turn. She was so uneasy in her turns. And look at her now! It just shows that if we all practice, we can get there! And by the way, who is Pooh bear? What’s her real name?
Megan “what” she’s so sweet and you can tell she legit too that excuse me sir for real :( He’s being funny, she’s funny, but she’s also so softspoken I reckon it made her feel a little awkward Tessa turning and not counting is very Tessa Just don’t get in your head and it’s easy
I love binging these videos. In all of them I have noticed how relaxed their bodies become after completing something so elegant and difficult. I find the juxtaposition so silly looking, and not in a mean way ok guys.🙄 I love juxtapositions. And I love ballet. And so seeing such together is “silly” in a fun way.
What sounds so rude unless you're talking to your siblings or friends. 😂 I would definitely never "what" Slawomir! Too much respect for him. First time I heard Eva sound like a little bratty mcbrat 😆
Exactly and he is still a teacher and maybe twice the age of the students. So “what” is a bit unappropriate. I love the ops channel, but if a teacher corrects a student she shouldnt be contradicting by saying “do we live in medieval times?”.
Her saying “I think “what” is an appropriate response” also me saying what to someone in a nice way at a restaurant and them saying that I was being rude😀
Go Tessa! Think of drawing your ribs down towards your hip bones to lock the core for turns. You have an amazingly mobile spine and especially mobile rib cage that makes it more possible for you to have simple breathing changing your alignment. By thinking of connecting those points- setting the lower ribs pinned down and the hips square with it- I think that will be the final piece to get your consistency.
Sławomir is an ICON 💀💀
Yes!!!! 🙌🏻
I think you'll find it's "Yes, SIR"
THISSSSS

I'm so proud of how much Tessa’s turns have improved!! I've never been a turner, so watching her progress has inspired me to not give up 🫶🏻

All of this translates to literally nothing in the real world but you go girls!
It's giving "there's no need to call me sir, professor"
Nice reference. 😂
I don't understand this reference 😅

My dad always used to say: you don’t say „was“ you say „wie bitte“ 😄
Then say “I’m sorry” or “pardon”.
Lots of people think women should stop saying “I’m sorry” because we’re always apologizing for stuff we needn’t.

Not even a "what's up" or a surprised "what?"
Same, saying what was considered rude. I had to answer with yes.
Exactly. Me still as old as I am with grandchildren. I still say to my elder and authority. Yes sir or mam, I'm sorry could you repeat yourself or could you say again. It's called manners.
Saying “What?” In my family is rude as well. It’s a respect thing. I think it varies depending on culture
“That was a disaster” lol. Omg 😅 Sir, and yesss Tessa! Awesome. Loved this. Thanks Eva.
All the videographers comments were making me beam. Super quick witted super kind. ✨
i love how he makes fun of his dancers like their his best friends 💀

Yes stand up for the dancers when things are a bit ridiculous
Felt mean.

I think saying sir and ma'am are great, people especially young people need to show respect! Maybe we need 2 go back 2 some medieval customs.
Slawomir really be laughing in her face 😭😭
That trip out of pirouette was everything 😂😂
Wow Channing's turns are so pretty
"Excuse me, Sir?" is perfect!!! Mr. S is raising polite young people!!! 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤

Tessa being absolutely nonchalant after that perfect four 😂👏
Idk who the Pooh bear girl is but she seems very relatable. I want to see more of her xD
Thank you so much! 🥰🥰
I just love the way that girl was swept away so gracefully by dancing with that guy.
Wow ballet’s panic mode is still the most graceful thing ever
But doesn't the moments like these make ballet worth living?
Tessa is really sassy and I love it she has such a fun vibe 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
Bro straight up laughed at her. But it wasn't like mean as much as it was like a friend laughing when you goof something.
