My Dad's Echo PB 400E Backpack Blower

- My grandfather just gave to me and I decided to do a video on it. My dad bought this blower the same time that he bought the Echo SRM 2201(which doesn't run anymore) and the Lawnboy 8461.
A guy just brought me one to repair and when he said he had old echo blower I said bring it over I can probably get it out in a hour LMBO and then he showed up I said I never saw one like that before and I am old not sure exactly on date yet but I think I was between 1 to 10 years old when it was made! Surprisingly I was able to find parts I needed on line that where from echo because tools not even close to half this old can be hard if not impossible to find parts for I thought it was really cool so I treated it very extra special to my normal great and ocd service !
I've got a Echo PB-400 (no letter) with a leaking gas tank. Know where I could get a gas tank for such an old model??? I'd like to get it running again. Can't believe how heavy that sucker is. Cheers from eastern TN
With a good carb cleaning, it just might fire right up. My friend's Dad has one just like it and it runs perfectly.
I checked the carburetor on it and it actually looked clean, but the diaphragms don't look to good so I'm gonna have to good a carb kit for it.
I just got one today... They didn't come with a handle for the nozzle did they? And any trouble shoots on how to get it to start?

is there supposed to be a cover on the back or is it just made without a cover on the back
I just inherited two of these myself, and got one running by replacing the spark plug, fuel lines, fuel filter and carb. Haven't started working on the other yet. Interestingly enough, they're not identical. The one currently running appears to be missing an Ignition Coil, and I'm scratching my head trying to figure out how on earth it's working without one. Any thoughts?
It probably has points and condensers underneath the fan instead of solid state ignition.
Well at least you won't have to replace it. It will be a good running blower one day.

my neighbors backpack blower is broke i need some help!!It will run for about 5 minutes and shut off.When i restart it and give it gas it bogs down.Ive check the muffler and arrestor,fuel cap ans sparkplug.What can it be?the carb has no adjustments.
