My parents always had my sister and I bring mini backpacks in addition to our suitcases, or in your case, backpacks for clothing. The little backpacks would have our game boys or MP3 players, chargers, a favorite stuffed animal, and a travel pillow for the drive. While at the theme parks, we would be responsible for keeping our own water bottles, sunscreen, sunglasses, cameras, spending money etc. for the day in the little backpacks.
Andrea. Thank you for posting such great videos. I only have 4 kids at home (and one adult, married son). I have been very ill for almost 3 yrs. I lost the skills of being organized and having a good running home. I cannot even fathom going on a camping trip. I am glad the Lord brought me to your channel. ♡♡♡

I'm a 15 year old boy and I never intend on having a family, but for some reason I love watching your videos! It's amazing how you balance everything and you seem like a wonderful mom :)
This reminds me so much of my trip to South Africa. My hole family was there and we were so bad at organising. We slept in this big house and all the kids slept on the balcony and in the living room and all the adults got beds. There was 20 of us and I wish we had someone like you to prognoses everyone 😂

@@_x3o_ ocd is weird. Mine is mostly obsessively checking on things and intrusive thoughts, but I understand how the anxiety (because it's an anxiety based disorder) could make you feel a need to be very organized.
I think it is so great that you put money aside for a trip every month! That's a great way to get excited and also save up for something fun to do as a family!!

I love your videos!! I am a single, childless 30 yr old woman who dreams of having a home and family. while I don't see myself having 8 kids, I definitely want 2 or 3. Your videos are giving me tons of info on budgeting and planning for a family and I will take in as much info as I can, so I can be a bit more prepared when I have a family. 😀

Wow! You are so onto it! I only have one kid and we only travel a max of 5hrs and I still pack everything but the kitchen sink 😂 I will definitely be doing some more planning next trip we take! Thank you for the tips! 😊

What you have is what so many of us would love to have. A large close loving family. Money is relatively unimportant. Making do is an art form and can be an enjoyable challenge providing you have love. Home schooling is like the icing on the cake.
My family is all grown up and it was difficult and we had no money but it was an abusive relationship so I can't compare mine with yours. But it is lovely seeing your videos. Very Waltons (70s TV.)
I find this so fascinating. My family we would just plan as we go, so it's new to see a family so organized. When my family goes on vacation we do whatever we feel like doing at that moment, we never really plan ahead so much. I suppose this is very helpful when you have a large family like yours. It's really organized, and smart.
We used to be more relaxed about plans, but I'm always looking for ways to make things more efficient and I realized one of the biggest vacation time wasters is when everyone looks at each other and says, "What do you want to do?" An hour later you're finally going somewhere. Planning it ahead of time gives us so much more time to have fun!

In a lot of ways, you do have it hard! Your life is so different going from 0 to 1. It's a lot easier, at least I think it is, having more. I felt like my life had been turned upside down after my first!

She is the most prepared woman I know... our trip were very similar! When I was younger it would get frustrating!
Now I'm 21 and WISH I was as prepared as her when I go on trips and that's even without children!

Have an awesome time out there. We visited CA in April and went to Legoland. The majority of our brood are Lego builders and they have the buy one get one free. We took our nephew with us and we were able to have 4 of our children get in for free. We loved it! The beach time was amazing too, that was really our main activity. We live in the desert in AZ, so going to the ocean is amazing.
I bet Legoland was pretty amazing! We'll be travelling through Arizona, but just a teeny, tiny bit. I think we're only in it for about 30 miles.
I bet Northern AZ. I have been watching pretty much all of your videos while doing laundry etc... They are a great encouragement and ministry unto me, specially in the areas of contentment. To be content so long as we take care of the two things, food and clothes. Our families are very similar, we also home church, homeschool, my husband has his own business, we don't believe the manufactured news and we can neither confirm nor deny NASA's claims, lol. Your idea for dry erase boards simply genius. I already turned a few picture frames into dry erase boards. Anyways God bless you all. I have a few questions about using herbs for specific issues like gallbladder and liver health. I'll ask them on the appropriate videos.

Oh no, the pleasure is all mine. You would be the good twin, lol. I think it's funny how we can always find someone that lives similar lives, not identical but similar. I believe a lot as you do about medicine, although I cave in sometimes for reassurance. I know that God is in control so I feel so silly when I doubt. We delivered our last baby in the front seat of our van and he's a healthy 3 year old. You'll be seeing a lot of me in your comment section. I watched your videos on my Playstation in my bedroom while folding laundry so I couldn't comment or thumbs up anything. I'm working on my laptop now so I can comment.
I cave in sometimes, too, but it gets easier and easier. What a story to tell about your 3-year-old's birth!

Love it! We're a large family too (11 kiddos) and just took a trip to CA in May to see family. My husband and I are from CA, but have lived in TX the past 17 years. I begin trip planning about two months in advance, and my itinerary looks much like yours. Hope you had a wonderful time!
I need this. We have a family of 10 and I am planning a road trip for late November and it will take 17 hours. Traveling with 8 children will be a challenge for us, especially in a car for a long period of time.
We bought more hangers at Ikea last week, so I may have the color coordination down soon enough! I'm excited! I even figured a way to hang clothes by our washer/dryer in the garage.

That chart is the most genius thing I have ever seen. That would have been so helpful for this Thanksgiving trip we are currently on to visit the hubby's family in Arizona! We budgeted and did my usual anal planning and have stayed on track pretty well, but we found ourselves not knowing what to do besides Discovery Kingdom with the kids when we got here. I started budgeting and planning out trips and things about a year ago, so I don't expect myself to be the best planner ever quite yet, but I really hope I can get to be as organized and planned as you were for this trip sometime soon before we have our first kid. Loved the video! Hope you had a great time on your trip.

In my family total is 6 people and when we travel to go to different country to go visit my family, we stay with our family because whats the point because you are hang out with your family and then when you are doing fun things you can leave your family to go do them so that saves money, but the rest is great good job

Hey why dont you try loooking for smaller backpacks that have the pockket for drinks on the side for them it would be great so they could wear it and not so much mess in a stroller
