Love the “motor coach” content. I recently purchased a 2000 Monaco in March mainly for going drag racing, towing my Chevy Vega in a 28ft enclosed trailer, and camping here and there. Been learning a lot every time I hop in and it’s a cool experience. I’m 25 years old and 6’5 as well lol.
What an incredible home, Mitchell! I just saw a picture with the full side of your coach and realized that it’s your vehicle in motion, tires and all! Thank you for explaining what makes a Newell different from the ones that are bus conversions. I am really envious of the life that you are leading. Thank you so much, Mitchell

I appreciate you're Newell research and videos. I did not understand the difference between Newell and a Liberty or Marathon. I did know the Prevost is the top dog when it comes to putting miles on your coach. I did not know the Newell was top dog when it comes to living space. I do understand they are both exceptional at both drivability and liveability. Now i know the difference. Thank you.
i have to agree with you 100% mitchell any rv you buy is going to have issues lol my wife and i purchased a 2020 Forest River 403rd had it custom ordered and built to our spec, took 4 months to take delivery of it and sure enough we have electrical issues already hahah oh and my onboard water filter snapped during transport...... im diggin the Newell big time, let the haters hate brother they dont know whats up haha

You are much better off with a 20yr old Newell, Wanderlodge or Prevost, then anything new. I know from experience. Bought a brand new Tiffin Allegro Bus, after 2yrs of nothing but problems, I traded it on on a 10 yr older Prevost and never looked back...
Really nice job buddy. Great explanation for the unitiated. My wife and I are short, so we're good with either. In the end, once you get to a certain age in the coach, the issues will be pretty much the same. All the "comfort" systems that is. I've been fascinated with these coaches for as long as I can remember. I mean like since I was 10. Whenever it was that I saw my first Prevost with a slide and no rivets, I remember feeling sad about it. My 100% choice is Prevost. I will give up certain luxuries to get that rock solid 'overbuilt' chassis. I have to have those bay doors and the absolute billet-feel of opening, closing, and latching them. For me, that's a must have and I know I'm not alone in this. 🤠. You could find one sitting in in a field, barn, whatever, and those bay doors will be straight and true. Until we have a fully covered space for ours that is on our property, we will not get ours. Long live classic motorcoaches!
Ok ,found this video you talk straight retired out of RV business,of 44 years, now your coach the raised roof ,what was she built for ,nice paint scheme ,you have a great DAY 👍 🖖
I'm just now getting into RV's, what I can say as a matter of fact is that Newell makes a fine product, however I wouldn't take a new one at gun point. I've been buying semi trucks for 15 years, I was a huge Cummins guy when CAT was still around. These days there's 2 dependable engines, Volvo's D13 and Detroit's DD15 and DD16. The rest are garbage. Now someone buying a 3 million dollar rv probably doesn't need to worry about dependability when they're only driving 50k miles a year, but in a commercial application you're buying garbage. If I buy a new coach one day, it will be a Prevost or an Icon Super C with a Detroit.
The build quality on the super c's seems a little cheap though. Daimler really screwed alot of manufacturers when they bought Detroit, it was a brilliant move thats since basically destroyed Paccar (kenworth/Peterbilt) and well.... Navistar (International) wasn't really competitive anyway. But I wish they'd license out the DD15/16 to Newell as well as Prevost. Volvo is a great engine, but Detroit invested over a billion dollars to engineer the new DD's and it shows. Since switching to Detroit in my freightliners and Western Star, I've saved nearly 100 grand in repairs and maintenance. I only take it to the dealer for routine maintenance every 500k miles for overheads. I do oil changes every 50k-75k miles which was impossible years ago without a bypass filter.
If someone puts 50k miles a year on a new newell they’re driving it a lot. Most of them don’t see that lol. Also if you have the money to buy a 3 million dollar coach do you really care about occasional service? Doubt it. You drop it off and forget about it lol
This was a very informative video. Thanks for this. It's not like I'll ever be able to afford one, but if I could the Newell, I think, is the best choice for me. The reason being that, like you, I'll be living in mine and not doing a lot of traveling.
@@KWlsuz20 I will watch the video, you see Newel is quality to me because the motor home starts and ends fully completed in the Newel factory, I was impressed and to me pravo is a defeated foe.
@@1AEROSOL.1PUFF Defeated foe? LOL, you do realize Prevost puts out the majority of busses for transportation, than they do for RV's. There not defeated by any means... The make busses, and converters build the interiors, and put in all the good stuff. But the frame of the Prevost is far superior to Newell, or any other class A RV builder. You see Prevost has to build all of the busses to meet Gov. standards for the transportation industry. This makes the bus the safest thing to build an RV from. The same bus that carries 70 people millions of miles a year, is the same quality bus that these converters build out for RV use... Just because something isn't built completely in the same building doesn't make it superior. Now there is huge differences between converters. The two top dogs there are Marathon, and Liberty. But like everything, it's all in what you prefer.
Prevost is made of a steel frame all around, anything before 2015 I believe, after that Prevost went to a thinner lighter steel. Prevost is the best chassis to build on. I am thinking of buying 1. Why buy a million dollar condo and pay strata fees and monthly bills and taxes, when I can buy a Prevost and put all the money in it. Also you can change the layout of the floor plan.
What a difficult decision between the two. I really like the pictures at 10:35. I didn't think there would be a huge difference in drivability between the two. What did you notice between them? Body roll, excellrration, twisting & flexing?
I believe you forgot one other high end top of the line coach manufacture, Foretravel! Check out their new iH45's. They are competing against Prevost and Newell's! Much higher end than the knock out 45 motorhomes a week builder like Monaco's, etc.
I watched your Newell factory vid, looking at the suspension, it looks like Newell bought suspension parts from provost,I would tend to think Newell are lighter because of the use of aluminum framing,vs prevosts stainless frames,

Newell is made for full time. My dad had a couple country coach magnas and they were great. Can’t speak on the lower end ones though.
