I'm always gobsmacked by how many of these giant multi-million dollar homes that the Raleigh market continues to absorb, and how many of them are the result of tear-downs in formerly ordinary middle class neighborhoods.

What part of Wichita were you in? I’m originally from El Dorado and still own a condo in southeast Wichita near Harry and Webb Rd. I am getting ready to sell it though because I’ve lived in Colorado for a decade now and I’m simply tired of owning it.

I’m British so maybe I don’t understand but why are the master bedrooms always downstairs? Don’t people sleep upstairs in the US?
As homeowners age, many prefer not to deal with the challenge that may come with stairs, so primary bedrooms, especially with newer homes, are generally built downstairs.
The master's bedroom being downstairs is something I've just started seeing in recent years. It's mostly something to accommodate people who are older in age or can't move up and down the stairs freely.
