It's crazy that this MV did not win best music video on MAMA cause this is a MASTERPIECE and the fact that a movie director directed the MV and just how much was put into the music video, the costume design, location, how they did it in the cold and also how everything was set up and built. When it came out it was also the most trending so its just wild to me that it didn't win anything. But it won over my heart so that's gots to count for something 💜

The meaning of the song /mv is that the cube represents all the prejudices and discrimination many people suffer, that's why IU is represented as deaf/mute and Tae only has one good eye. The cube can literally terminate them, but it couldn't keep them apart, couldn't terminate their love 🥰😍😭

@MyHeartisOhhhhhhhMy Don't you know??? Tae arranged everything with IU and then notified the company just like he did with UMI, which is why he doesn't appear on UMI's website. After they settled everything with IU, they didn't agree on the alternative ending for the shows and those of us who went to the show were asked not to record the alternative ending. Then we found out that hybe asked for the right to Tae's image from all the shows on the images from the alternative ending if she published it outside, she and Tae paid the right to the show but couldn't show the video outside on the internet, but who recorded with fancams she had no way to control, but was asked not to do so. Remember when hybe wanted to delete Tae's fancams for image rights and the army didn't let him? It was there during that period. If you notice, most of the fancams and IU tv videos don't show the alternative ending, only a few people posted the entire video and some were told to take it down. This song was the highlight of the show and when Tae appears it's crazy, but the videos end early and that's why she didn't post the alternative ending in her thank you videos.

Tae had "Winter Ahead" not released by the company in 2022 (it wasn't hb that produced it and get the message), so he bought Layover which was ready in April but the company only released it in September (do you know why the boycott?), My friends and I campaigned because some fans abandoned him, fell into the boycott and he was the only one with an album that didn't win any mama and everyone knows the mama game, but fanchoice we could give without interference, but like I said the company's CEO wants to depend less on BTS and launched new groups for the fandom, promoted fanwars among the members themselves and, an almost impossible miracle happened, Jimin was in 4th and won again, congratulations. Meanwhile, we who voted in millions for Tae had Instagram blocked without justification, YTB without the right to comments and a message on gmail direct from mama informing that technicians were audited without us having said anything, we tested commenting on other members and no blocking, but when we spoke 3 keywords in the same comment were immediately deleted (we have proofs and prints), to give you an idea Yae won in December's birthday idol but Mama didn't even announce it.I alone made 50 comments on the WINTER AHEAD mv and they were all deleted, only 1 remained that I added after the week's countdown was over. I've been a fan for 7 years and I don't wait for official channels, you saw the omission with Suga. They all did beautiful work but I started to notice the difference in 2022, when the Disney documentary was recorded, many preferences. For me the artist, not the idol, the artist of the year was Tae because he did what he wanted to do and did it openly for the army, even though he knew it wouldn't be a popular style, he was the only one who made me smile and cry in the same music, this is an artist. In my record of hours of videos watched, mine is at 12 thousand hours... just search and find it. I've also talked to people who were clearly researchers of the company, anyone can be, you can be and tomorrow I'll be without YTB... as for h@thers, he has millions and each one worse than the other, many mathematically stimulated, you press and they disappear, change their nickname. Correct me if I am wrong but I think IU said she wrote it for her fans. I think it is a sweet commentary of their parasocial relationship. My interpretation is IU is IU and V is Uaena (her fans). The cubes are trolls/ media. In the MV, she is deaf/mute, he is partially blind - it may seem there is no fathomable way these two can understand each other. However, whether separated by language (she cannot hear/speak) or distance (he cannot see), they communicate about sweet memories (about macron's and taking pictures) and laugh much like inside jokes between IU and her fans or photos at fan meetings. They both have scars of criticism or scandals over the years. At its end the trolls/ media come to consume another artist and fandom and discard it like a pile of clothes and IU is ready to fight but V (the fans) steps in front of her to defend her and their bond, but they are met with a bitter end. A sad reality every artist must face someday. She shields V's good eye to protect him from the inevitable. I think she understands the way it is but is happy to set out on the journey with her fans anyway. I think of her lyric "Will you courageously set with me? Destroy me slowly and chilly, ruiner"; OR this is just about her and her boyfriend, and her asking for some privacy, not sure haha.😭
This was a serious video, so watching you laughing and smiling throughout the video , just saying how V is so handsome and how cute they were, it just wasn’t cool, and it took away from the artistry of the song and video.
