Seen a review on IMDB which I think is the most worst review I’ve ever heard they said something along the lines “we didn’t get any zombie action but instead we’ve got a girl and a guy talking on the road” beware if u don’t like that this show ain’t for u and u can sym the review really pisses me off because that is what TLOU is about the love between Joel and Ellie.
It’s just echoing what Ben Shapiro said about the third episode, which was already stupid enough
In episode 2 we got the clickers and ep 1 we got the infected in the flashbacks. Ep 3 there were none and ep 4 as well but next episode will have infected I’m sure because in this episode there was a soon to be sinkhole that had infected noises coming out of it so I’m sure that will collapse and boom infected. That review isn’t good because they said “Zombies” they’re known to be infected and not once in the game they were called zombies.
Edit: I agree this show isn’t just about the apocalypse, it’s also about the journey and connection for both Joel and Ellie. Joel needs someone to protect while Ellie needs to be protected to achieve her purpose which is for the vaccine.
SO CUTEEEE WHEN I WAS WATCHING IT FOR THE FIRST TIME IT WAS SOOO WHOLESOME
This really shows that joel has really warmed up with ellie, I bet by the next episode he basically sees her as his step daughter

I can't say I'm overly fond with certain aspects of this show, but one thing I do think is a good call is how they don't portray Joel as a middle-aged Rambo type character, like they depicted him in the game.
Here, they make note of how his age is taking its toll on his vitality, that he doesn't have the endurance he once did and that the punches hurt more when he takes them, as well as having partial hearing loss from the gunfire he's been exposed to for so long.
A man in his say early to mid-forties, who's kept himself fit, and who's had special forces training, might be able to dish out a lot of punishment, as well as take it, but a man in his mid-fifties, who was just a regular guy beforehand, who's had no prior combat training and experience, and even if he did, at that age he still might tough and quite deadly if he gets a hold of you, but he's just not gonna have the same give physically that he once did.
The hearing thing is too true, I was always on the left of the lmg as support and I’m right hand shooter guy and ammo guy is on the right, slowly losing hearing in both ears but right is quicker, the ringing in my ears is driving my crazy sometimes
my favorite part is 0:20-0:30. That part is Joel and Ellie in the game.

As someone who suffers all their life, everyday with chronic diarrhea, this joke was very cruel and demeaning.
It's 2023 so I really don't know if this is a joke or not
