YOUR WELCOME BY THE WAY, FOR USING MY ORIGINAL COMMENTS I POSTED YESTERDAY ON RUclips, TO STEAL MY IDEA, OF TELLING HIS REAL NAME. GLAD YOU DO THAT TO THE ACTUAL VIEWERS OFFERING RELEVANT NEWS. GREAT JOB.
Bam had a skatepark built for our city. He and Tony Hawk designed it. I always loved Bam for that and I wish him well. I hope so much that he can find his way.
No, we are talking about two entirely different people here. Even during the height of his addiction, Steve-O was always a happy, positive, funny, chilled out guy. He was just bouncing off the walls and out of control due to the coke and alcohol. Mentally though, Steve-O was sound and fun to be around. He just got 'loaded' because he thought it was cool, as many of us do when we are younger. As soon as Steve-O beat the addiction he was normal again. Bam on the other hand is totally different. Bam is a manic depressive individual who abuses alcohol and drugs to try and block out the pain and depression. Even if he beats his addictions, which he has done several times, Bam will eventually revert back to the drink and drugs to mask his depressive personality. You can't just decide to get clean and hope to stay off the drink and drugs when you have inherited depressive traits like Bam, and when you are surrounded by negative people or drug users/alcoholics, which he is. I have known people like Bam before and it doesn't usually end well. Downward spirals and all.
Her and Phils lack of parenting plays a big part in Bams problems now. Parents who are too busy trying to be their kids friends rather than actually parenting don't do their kids any favours.
So damn sad. Jackass and especially bam and Dunn were a huge part of my teens. I was obsessed with viva la bam, jackass, and CKY. He got me into music like HIM and metal in general. It was so cool to see some random skater get so famous and do the craziest things you’d expect a young twenty something kid would do with millions of dollars. I think he’s had a lot of head trauma along with losing Ryan that has really ramped up his usage along with the lifestyle of fame and money. It always starts out as fun partying, but after ten years can just exponentially get worse and worse until you get clean or die. I hope he eventually gets his stuff together, but the things in his personality that made him popular are the same qualities that keep him using. He’s a crazy person, but I’ll always love the guy. Get better soon Bam.
You expected people who abuse themselves healthy? I was young and knew all these guys would be dead, sick, or poor. abusing yourself for money is not winning formula.
Spoken perfect. Bam was always my favorite one, bad ass skater, the guy with all the hot models and beeing a likeable and identiviable person. Ryan Dunn's death spiraled his addiction and problems where the mourning led to depression. It's sad to see him the way he is now and all his problems. I realy hope he get his act toghether and dont want to read he killed himself of any of that stuff that is almost unavoidable at this point.
Addiction is a self-induced disease and it takes self-induced recovery, watching Steve O or even Novak managing to kick the habit is really inspirational and the main part is that they’ve really wanted for that to happen. Everyone has the drama in their lives, but I think not quitting because of it is more of a cop out than actual reason, it just means that you don’t want to quit and you’ve found the reason to justify your actions. I honestly can’t blame a huge studio as well as the cast and crew for not wanting to work with that variation of Bam, cause it’s clear that he’s not sober cause he doesn’t want to be.
It sad but this is true. I’ve spurs on my spine, I imagine that’s worse or equal to the foot. Reasons can explain but they don’t justify it. I’m lucky I’m not particularly predisposed to addiction like others but it’s a choice early on. To manage pain killers and not rely on them for anything other than the prescription. He has to want to be clean too. He also takes certain non FDA approved prescriptions for his bipolar that feed his addictive personality. You can not get insurance for a film set, particularly stunts, if the person is impaired. They’d be liable. The Producers had little choice. I hope he gets through it for his kids.
Just imagine the footage his son will get to watch of his dad some day. Mixed feelings I imagine but there's no doubt his dad was once one of the coolest guys on the planet! Totally self made, living the absolute dream all over the world, a total fucking rockstar
I really hope he's doing better. My dad is kind of going through the same thing.. hes slowly became a heavier drinker since my grandpa died in 2009, started out slow but now he's fully addicted. My stepmom said she wanted a divorce but was willing to talk about it if he got sober. He tried going to a rehab in Ft. Smith, AR which is close to where we live but they were all booked so she ended up taking him to a place in OKC that ended up being a halfway house style home that was for state inmates going through heroin withdrawals. She came and picked him up a few days later "only because if she didn't his friend would have." Came back and stayed with him for a night and then said she was going to stay with her son. My dad's best friend (M) is married to my dads cousin (F) who is supposed to be my step moms best friend. They went on their honeymoon with them, come over for football games or dinners, to swim, and have gone on pretty much every vacation my dad and stepmom have ever taken. Their daughter, my cousin, called my dad at 630 am the next day to tell him that her mom, our cousin, had gone through her husband's phone (dads best friend) and found messages between my dads best friend and my stepmom, they've been having an affair. At first they said only a couple months but they admitted it had been going on since May of last year, 2021.. it completely fucked up my dad. He was on medication for alcoholism and drank on it and showed up to my house at 130 am more drunk than I've ever seen him, falling, slurring.. the medicine mixing with the alcohol was causing the effects to double. I took him back home and he tried leaving again and backed through our neighbors fence and got stuck in their garden, less than a week after getting a DUI. Hes leaving for Florida today to go to rehab, he hasn't drank in almost a week and still has the shakes. I'm hoping this works for him and sticks, I'd like to see my old dad back and I know it will help the divorce and his life in general in the long run. To anybody out there struggling, just know its not impossible and there's people that want to help you. Deal with your problems, as hard as it may be. Its easier to deal with your emotions and hurt, sober over a few weeks or months and then be able to accept it than drink your problems away for the night. It might help immediately but it isn't fixing the problem, only making it be there longer.. Don't throw your life away.
He's a legend and also human. We all have our ways of coping. Sadly, things like alcohol and drugs end up being the goto for so many because of how easy it is to get and use when we're desperate to shut our brains up. My father was a mean alcoholic my mom left when I was a baby. I also have two older bros who were mean and violent drunks growing up. Left a deep-seated fear of being the same. When I get a buzz I'm the opposite. I take care of people. Make sure all are safe. Talk down the angry, cheer up the sad, etc. The few times I've allowed myself to get proper drunk, I was told I had breakdowns, terrified that I was going to hurt someone. (deep-seated) If mental illness, depression, etc wasn't ignored, downplayed, or stigmatized for as long as it has been, so many great people that have died would be alive.
One thing I think many skaters can agree with me on and something many people who don’t will not understand…is that Skateboarding is one of the best forms of therapies. Even if you don’t do tricks. Always being able to just grab your board and riding is a good way to just cool off and think. Or if you have a spot you can set goals by learning new tricks or perfecting new ones. He was always afraid to become his father…he literally became his father, physically, and far worse. Hope he gets his life together. He’s a good man inside. Addiction is brutal.
I grew up just outside of West Chester and have ran into/met Bam on several occasions. Dude was a local legend. And like so many others, I grew up watching all the CKY and Jackass tapes/shows. It's obviously very sad to watch anyone struggle but when it's someone you once had high regard and admiration for, that just makes it worse. On top of all of that, Bam really has no one to blame but himself. Which, again, just makes it all so much worse. Hopefully someday, someone can get through to him and help address whatever mental issues he has going on. Last thing I wanna see is a news report on TMZ saying Bam's dead. Be good to yourselves, people.
He always came off like a spoiled little brat to me. Watching him is like seeing a rich kid buy stuff and break it just so others can't use it. Wait, that was his whole show! I'm gonna buy my uncle a car... and then wreck it! Then do it in every episode!
I’m a 8 year clean drug addict and I can tell you it would be very hard to live that life style of unlimited funds and parties all the time to get clean but now bam has a kid and wife that are by his side I really hope he can get sober, life is so much better without substances
yep. just like most of those who judge him are their own worst enemy's. its so easy to throw stones, but none of us are perfect. we all have our vices. .. young, rich, famous. addict, .. best friends death... cant say id be any better having walked in his shoes. but wish him the best.
You're not wrong but addiction hurts some people in different ways for sure. It is very sad bam hasn't came out of it yet but I understand his struggle and pain. Shit sucks
I really want to see him in Jackass Forever. Sadly I don’t think he’s gonna be in it. They would have flashed him in the trailer if he was. I think any footage they have of him, they’d probably rather not use it because he’s trying to sue the series.
Yah he isn't in it. He has been and is currently going through some pretty tough rehabilitation, basically under a strict guardianship type deal to get him back to a good mental state (according to Brandon Novak, recently). Wish him all the best.
I actually heard that what little bit they did film with him at the beginning of filming is going to be in the movie but he isn’t going to be featured as a main cast member
@@newbutthunt of course it won’t 😂 you’ll still get a lot of people that go see it just for the nostalgia, but I don’t think it’s going to be what it used to be.
Seriously!! He is that creepy guy who lives down the street that you tell your kids to stay away from. That 45 year old that still parties with 17 year olds
I've seen the struggles of substance abuse. More than a few times. It usually doesn't end well. Damn. Peace bam hope a better day comes and you stay there.
I liked the new jackass but it was definitely missing something and that was bam and Ryan together. I think Ryan’s death is the only celebrity death I legit started crying over.
It is hilarious to me that Looper editors obviously don't know that Jenkem is a purported inhalant and hallucinogen created from fermented human waste.
Bam doesn't want sobriety. He continues to put himself into those positions. Look at steve-0.. the man stayed in a recovery home for 3 years to stay clean. And he was worst off than bam. It's sad to watch him fall. But unfortunately not even his child can make him change his ways
Bam broke from toy machines jump off a building, cky, and the early jackass episodes are the only version of him I can stand. I had a drug issue and I don't wish ill on him, he just doesn't even seem to be trying.
Fuck him being like someone else who is sober or whatever, he’s his own person and only you can pave the next way, it is what it is. But this also spoke volumes to me, his son is the most important thing right now, and I know that feeling, we will all be alright in the long end.
That's the price of life fellas. He had everything you could imagine but still he has nothing but heartache. This World is not our home. Look at all them that's on the ground and how they are lying their. Look at them and realize evil is about.
I loved watching him on Viva La Bam and Jackass. I wish April wouldn't stick up for the fact he got a DUI either like wtf? Yea he is dealing with shit but he could have killed himself or someone else. Isn't that how Ryan died? Come on now dude. Bam grow up bro 2000's are over.
The fact that Steve-O has been sober since his intervention also probably plays on Bams mind as well, also Dr. Phil, I don’t know one celebrity couple that goes on that show for real help,,,,just sucks for him, and his other video breaking down asking fans to boycott the movie, he notions his medication regimen and I just never heard of any coming off addiction and having to take 18 new medications….that alone would mess with you., We are pulling for you Bam, you can do it brother.
@@kathis6840 yeah the sheer amount of meds alone is just mind blowing. I don’t know how true that is, I don’t know how any doctor could think that’s healthy.

Keep at er Bam. You can do it 💪✨👏
I like how he was in rehab for Adderall, and said that the docs in rehab prescribed him Adderall....
We love you Bam..
It is hilarious to me that Looper editors obviously don't know that Jenkem is a purported inhalant and hallucinogen created from fermented human waste.
In 2013 I ran into Bam at a bar and he was totally off his face. He couldn't barely stand.
So many Bam haters… easy to judge someone whose life has been thrown out there for everyone to speculate on.
Love you Bam
He's the boy that never grew up.
I felt bad for Bam until I heard he tried suing his friends. He's a PoS.
I think Novak would make a wonderful monitor for Bam visits his kids.
Brandon legally changed his name to Bam way before his debut on MTV
Bam will never get better. He’s always had a child’s mentality
I'll never forget when Amy roasted him about Ryan Dunn. Brutal what a roast is all about
2:00 is that Deryck from Sum 41 in the background?
I'd amputate one of my own fingers to bring the real bam back.
He was my idol growing up.
My mom use to call me Bam Bam
Awww I never knew that
Bam doesn't want sobriety.
He should have been in the new movie
it aint jackass without bam, sorry guys
People always ask, WHY WHY do they do it? The funny thing is even the one afflicted is just as puzzled why.
Hopefully Bam can be with Dunn soon.
This is far deeper than stupid stunts for fun n fame. This is family and quality of life. I feel for Bam. Damn...
I miss Bam and Ryan...
I really believe losing Ryan was the last straw.
Can't use that as an excuse. It's pathetic.
I always looked up to bam still do brother hope you're doing better now an days
If you look up to Bam then you might need to be on new meds...
A sad story. Hope he gets better. He's sick
Fuck him being like someone else who is sober or whatever, he’s his own person and only you can pave the next way, it is what it is. But this also spoke volumes to me, his son is the most important thing right now, and I know that feeling, we will all be alright in the long end.
I was never a big fan of Bam.. so I’m ok with this !!!!!
I do support bam an his family a lot an the cky crew a lot
What do you expect? where he lives and all those crazies around him. It's not easy.
hes wealthy and can be and live were ever he wants, hes to blame kook
Very sad
That's the price of life fellas. He had everything you could imagine but still he has nothing but heartache. This World is not our home. Look at all them that's on the ground and how they are lying their. Look at them and realize evil is about.
Wow
Alcoholism is no joke
🙏🙏 poor guy. I hope he finds sobriety.
cant wait to see what kind of wild life he owns, is it gazelle or zebras? Looking forward to finding out!
Not that I wish him Ill or anything, but Bam always struck me as a huge d-bag. I hope he finds peace in his own way.
Truth is you gottat be sick of it bam mad love bro
Lowkey feels like Jackass week,Looper 😁
The fact that Steve-O has been sober since his intervention also probably plays on Bams mind as well, also Dr. Phil, I don’t know one celebrity couple that goes on that show for real help,,,,just sucks for him, and his other video breaking down asking fans to boycott the movie, he notions his medication regimen and I just never heard of any coming off addiction and having to take 18 new medications….that alone would mess with you., We are pulling for you Bam, you can do it brother.
I agree, you usually get a benzo or sth similar during rehab and they might start you on antidepressants. But 18???
@@kathis6840 yeah the sheer amount of meds alone is just mind blowing. I don’t know how true that is, I don’t know how any doctor could think that’s healthy.
