once again, very interesting! Gareth, do you know if you can share a prefilled form with a customer (ousite of smarsuite). my use case. I want to display informaitons to a client (from a record), and have him sign the form using the sign field? thnak you
The forms are so simplistic.... you can only use forms to enter single record entries; next to have multiple record option. For example, a simple order form where a customer could order two or three items with one submission. Are there more advanced features coming soon?
SmartSuite continues to make improvements so I'm sure new features are coming soon, including more robust form options. However, for more advanced form needs, it's often best to seek out a form software to integrate with your no-code database. Much of this can be accomplished with existing tools like JotForm, Fillout.com, etc. and then integrate these robust form tools with your SmartSuite account so that the data flows in as submitted.
@@GarethPronovost just reached out to fill out … SS integrations will not be active until next week. Also is there a Gap referral link to share in case I sign up? Actually just looked up jotform… no SS integration yet.
Hi Gareth! Are we able to pre-fill / hide linked records in this type of forms? Or to capture in one form data that goes into two solutions? Like Costumer data and order details?
You can't pre-fill or hide in these forms YET, but it will be here soon. Regarding data that goes into two solutions, the form can only add a new record to a single solution+app - so for your use case, you'd want to consider building a placeholder form in a separate solution/app. Then when a response is received, use a 3rd-party automation software (Zapier, Make.com, etc.) and parse the data out into your separate apps!
@GAP Consulting I was a Smart Suite denier, I actually ignored most of your videos on SS because o refused to switch. This map is a game changer for my Shuttle business. I have a demo with these guys tomorrow and yes i used your affiliate link.
@@tommycoe2333 lol! There are pros and cons with any software but this map view is definitely something I haven't seen before. Hope this helps get you the result you're looking for! 👊
Awesome info! Watching this made me think that a SmartSuite form might be able to do something I've been wanting to do for a while now. Perhaps others would benefit from such an automated form as well. Here's what I need: I would like a simple form to embed on any web page that would offer the ability to email me, taking the visitor's name, email, and contents of the email form and then create an email to be sent to me (or any email I choose) with that information, but not exposing the recipient email to the sender. At the same time, I would like to create a new record in SmartSuite that would enter the sender's name and email in it. Possibly SmartSuite could also enter the contents of the email message in an additional field. As a final option, it would be nice if the form also could send the name and email to GetResponse. To summarize, this form would do 3 things: 1. Send the entered information to me as an email to a pre-set email, without showing the recipient email address to the form visitor. 2. Enter the sender's information in a new record in SmartSuite. 3. (Optionally) Send the sender's name and email on to GetResponse to create a new record, just as one of GetResponse's own form would do. If you think this would be useful to several of your followers, I'd love if you would make a video explaining how to do this! Thanks for your consideration.
This is actually a really simple use case that can be completed integration and automation. I've never done it in smart suite but it's fairly simple to do in airtable.
@@tommycoe2333 Thanks for the reply! Kind of what I'm thinking too. I tried just implementing a form to send email, but it requires quite a bit of server-side programming in addition to the form in order to work, not to mention you need something like SendGrid to use as a sending platform. Since SmartSuite does some of this anyway, it seems that by capturing to SmartSuite instead of just an email sender, the form could work more simply. If I understand correctly, SmartSuite can also be automated to send an email to you when something happens, so that email could probably be a copy of the email sent to you using the form. I appreciate your interest!
@John Wilder if it's a dynamic email and will change with each individuals email you wouldn't want to use send grid. Send grid is like constant contact and sends a list of people the same email at one time with their information on it. I would contact Gareth and get a free consultation to see if that's something he can help with. If it's not a fit let me know and I can definitely walk you through some solutions. I don't exactly do what Gareth does and I'm happy to show anyone what we know but I'm definitely not trying to step on his toes as he's the best No CODE Consultant out there
Echoing what Tommy said here, the email would be sent from an automation. Trigger the automation when a form is submitted and the action would be to send a single email to the address provided. Creating the record will happen as well without the need for an automation. Lastly, sending the info to a third party tool will likely require a third party automation (using Make.com or Zapier)

Prefilled forms will be available in SmartSuite very soon, but they aren't here just yet!
Love it!

Just curious about how I could change the field colours so I could adjust to my brand identity...Is it possible?
At this point the color options are preset, but this would be a great feature request!

@@GarethPronovost yes that’s the way I’m currently doing it on Airtable. Thank you so much for introducing us to Smart Suite! Sooo good!
@@LauLopezF I'm so glad you like them! The future is bright for SmartSuite! 🙌
What's that map view all about? 🤔
If you have an address field, the map view shows you your records using longitude/latitude coordinates in a Google map type of view. 👌
