Hi Gareth! I am trying to add a formula to show the current year birthday of someone so it shows in the calendar, I have been searching for the formula without any luck. I have that working great in air table but the formula used there does not work un SmartSuite.

SaaS database apps need the ability to manage lists as content for single select and multi select fields. Let me make a list in a separate element/module that can be shared across apps/tables. One place that holds all lists. And the ability to create a list based on the contents of a field.
Document designer: bravo!! Please don’t make it as restrictive in layout as Documint: don’t force me into columns and rows and only allow fields in columns. Also, make fields resize automatically and slide up to close up space on the .pdf. Documents entirely inside Smart Suite is enough to make me now want to open an account and start playing.
Currently using Airtable but their interface layout formatting limitations are driving me crazy.

Great info! Are there any plans for SmartSuite to offer a front end solution like Softr does with Airtable?

This is all very impressive, it looks like SS is in the way to become the only saas tool needed… It is clear the team knows what they are doing and undestands what the community demands. Once big database usability and managment is improved i believe the SS vs. Airtable battle could be over… What are your thoughts gareth???

I think it's a serious contender. Ultimately I suspect each software will cater to a specific market (similar to how designers tend to prefer Apple over Microsoft).

I agree with Gareth. There’s always room for several competing software solutions. What’s best for a certain use-case, doesn’t mean it also is the perfect tool for every other situation. That said, we are now big fans of SmartSuite, previously using Trello, Asana, Taskade, Airtable and Notion for different parts of our workflows. We have been thinking of ClickUp, but felt it being to hard to set up ourselves.

great video as always. on the copy pasting, would be great if you can bulk import the single or multiple select choices as well. this is bothersome to setup 1 by 1 when importing large data sets with several select fields

Michael, We absolutely agree with your comment above and will be releasing this capability next week - meaning that we will auto add new values if the 'Allow users to add values" option for the field has been enabled.

The speed SmartSuite is adding new features in incredible.
The Document designer is mind blowing. I Assume we will be able to send the created invoice / pdf as an attachment in an email using automation! Any idea if this could be possible in the future?

A thing I'd find useful: When creating single -select or multi-select field lists, I should be able to paste them as a multi-line text block on the first input and it generates the rest of the options. Or comma-separated.
