Hello. Your video was extremely helpful and made me finally take the initiative to try this out as it seemed exactly the issue I've had with my iphone 5s. I've held onto it for years as it has my daughter's newborn videos I never had a chance to back up. I've been in technology integration for nearly 10 years, but never dove into small electronics repair, so I at least promise to not sound ignorant. When I opened mine I did not have the ribbon you detached with your tweezers, but noticed something that worries me there was a short/possible damage. I stopped immediately at that point and made a short video (2:09). I would be insanely grateful if you could find the time to give it a quick view. If not, no worries, I completely understand being busy and overwhelmed with people asking for tech advice/help. lol
You sure you have iphone 5s ? Because every Iphone 5s has that ribbon cable. its a cabble from home button .
@@aljosha23 Yeah, but I'm thinking the people that repaired my screen cut it and/or removed it. There were two small rivot looking pieces laying loose in the phone I believe were the ends to the ribbon. I also believe they may have caused a short and the reason it died which is upsetting to say the least.

Thnx sorin .. i had the same issue on a Acer one tablet pc so i just unplugged the battery put it back and everything was working fine

I just changed the screen after a year of it laying around and now there no power need to get a battery to see if it works. got a new battery and it worked.

help iphone not charging, i replace the charging port with new one, and try new battery, it turn on with white screen with apple logo and stuck there, and the usb is not charging , plug in the computer nothing appear.
