My first instructor was a WASP - Helen Sheffer 43-W-5. Her favorite? P-38 but quite a bit of time in P-47s and all manner of Grummans.

What an incredible video! Had to share it with my daughter, as I had shown/talked about the Air Transport Auxiliary [ATA] during WWII. We were both wondering why these were not as well know.
    Keep up the amazing work!

I wish one of the very talented directors would make a movie about these remarkable women. Their story deserves to be told, their sacrifices and contributions made public. Ron Howard or Stephen Spielberg would do nicely.
