I wish one of the very talented directors would make a movie about these remarkable women. Their story deserves to be told, their sacrifices and contributions made public. Ron Howard or Stephen Spielberg would do nicely.
My first instructor was a WASP - Helen Sheffer 43-W-5. Her favorite? P-38 but quite a bit of time in P-47s and all manner of Grummans.
