This arc falls apart so fast halfway through. Only Hiei’s story really hits for me, and all the tension of the arc dies once it becomes a light-hearted Dark Tournament 2.0
Ya, honestly it might've been better as a war arc, and definitely needed more time. I don't think togashi ever wanted to make it anyways, his editors pushed him to tho.
