This couple saved this program. I understand wanting to save money when budget is tight I also like the wedding planner. He's really easy and goes with the flow
So refreshing to watch an episode of this series with sane bride. You can have a wonderful wedding on a budget -- and it'll make your life infinitely better for not having to drag around giant debts from one day. Good for you for sticking to your guns on the budget!
My sis did food for my daughter's wedding for under 300$ for 60 guests. This included champagne. It was awesome. Everyone still talks about the food at her wedding. The venue was an ice cream shoppe. The guy only charged us 50$ to use the place and decorations came in under 150$... Bouquet s included. 1500 total for entire wedding.
Mine was about 1500 also. I paid for everything so had to make it work. I actually had my wedding at a church they didn't charge us and a Disabled Veterans Lounge for $100 but they gave it back to us after the clean up. I borrowed a lot and made a lot of stuff. It can definitely be done
They did soo well with there budget. But 15000 isn't unreasonable for 1 day. I appreciate how honest she was with herself and without being rude nor mean to others.
Even if 15000 dollars was the total price of the wedding, 15000 dollars is too expensive for +90% of humans on Earth. 6000 dollars would still be too expensive for + 90% of humans on Earth.
the biggest thing is your venue. If you have 120 people it really depends on how much it costs per head, alcohol included, as that's where at least half the money will go. $45 a head is very cheap. Some venues on this show were charging over $100 per head, plus alcohol
It's affordable for people who can afford it. 15 k is I think it's a very reasonable budget. Did you not see the episode where someone spent over $100,000 on a wedding.
this is my very favorite couple of them all. You can tell how much they love each other. there is NO NEED to spend $30,000 plus to have a beautiful wedding. Way to go guys!! here's to a lifetime of happiness
Agreed but given their health set backs it might have been better if they put off their wedding and saved a bit more especially the groom. Given their jobs they don't bring in a lot of money so I can understand how hard the bride saved and why she is reluctant to spend. The groom is a nonstarter in my opinion and particularly unappealing since the bride is paying for the wedding apparently without any contribution from him. IMO both parties should be contributing to the costs even if one or the other is a millionaire. It is not your turn about anything bozo unless you are financially contributing. Why is he eating all these sweets when he is a diabetic? She deserves better than this loser.
@@interestedobserver-gk3ih - agreed. No real need to have a wedding for 120. With both their health issues (she said he’s been off work due to a diabetes issue), they could have had a very small wedding of 10-20 of their closest friends at a park, then dinner at a nice restaurant. For 20 people you could have a really great dinner for $2000 - and even if she’d paid for a nice dress, some flowers and a suit, their cost could have been under $3000. Save the rest of the money for a house down payment
@@lostcontrol1981 Especially since she is paying for it. Evidently the groom is off work d/t problems with his diabetes yet there he was shoveling sweets. I don't see why they are getting married other than she appears to be pregnant because they like the other couples are not on the same page for a lot of things. These brides all suffer from the same delusion; it is my day so I get everything I want. Marriage isn't like that. The other delusion is they want everyone to remember their wedding when the truth is only the bridal couple is going to remember it after the first month or so. The truth the wedding is not that memorable to anyone else as much as it is to the couple. There will be other weddings and other beautiful brides.
@@interestedobserver-gk3ih - exactly right. Every one of the couples on this show say they want a ‘memorable’ wedding, but honestly, thru are ALL the same - white dress, flowers, dinner, cake, dancing …. If you honestly want something memorable get married in your backyard! Surprise the guests, telling them it’s a potluck BBQ. Have a JP come and marry you there. The guests will be shocked but remember it, and won’t be all stressed about getting dressed up, getting babysitters for their kids, getting a present for you, etc…
It’s so refreshing to see a bride not want to go over budget. Why spend so much on one day and spend the next few years still paying it off. If you don’t have it, you can’t spend it. Good for her. They will start married life off debt free. All the best to them both
@emilissaschwemmer5570 that's because she's the one paying for everything as well as the one supporting both herself and the husband so therefore by default she is forced to be frugal and cheap but she really doesn't want to you could tell when it came to the jewelry she wanted to wear with her wedding dress there's a difference between being frugal and cheap and she's definitely CHEAP!!!!
It seems like that guy can work. He doesn't have a problem spending her money. She is very responsible by wanting to save money and stay on budget. It's frustrating that everyone keeps pushing her to spend the money. She is supporting a guy who is mooching off of her, I don't blame her for getting so stressed. Red flag, I wouldn't be marrying him
You can’t see all illnesses, I know from personal experience, you really don’t know how he feels on the inside or how much of it is hidden in-front of the camera, I know it can be hard to understand when it’s not plain to see, but alot of people try their best to live as normal life as possible within their limitations, at this point in his life, he had to give up work at least for now
He said that he wasn’t working for quite a long time, not that he isn’t working now. He had a accident with his diabetes and from the looks of him he was very lucky. My brother had a accident with his and was in a coma for several weeks. Once he awoke it was discovered that he could no longer communicate and has barely any control of his body. He has slight control of his arm’s but that is it. Diabetes is a serious illness that can destroy your life and kill you.
I don't understand how this student photographer was so bad. I hired one on recommendation from the department head at a local college for my parent's 50th anniversary and he was awesome! The photos were so professional and it was only $300. He was going to the Art Institute after college.

@Becky Arganbright I agree he can eat sugar, but even T1D you need to watch your sugar consumption. Insulin needle or not, poor nutrition will catch up to a diabetic later down the road. The floaters and blurry vision is often one of the first signs. As someone who believes in the importance of nutrition, if you have diabetes, you should be more careful with your eating. Doesn’t matter if it’s 1 or 2. And doctors are not equipped to give out advice on nutrition. They are trained as reactive, not proactive. They won’t give you a prescription for eating better, just another medication. And juvenile diabetes is different, but special care is still required in addition to their prescribed medications. The Diabetes industry is a big money maker, probably half a billion annually. You definitely seem knowledgeable, and I appreciate someone who has real life experience with it.I hope your son is healthy and happy 😃

not everyone can get a costco card and diabetic people often eat sweets when they can feel their blood sugar dropping for a quick boost as their body can't regulate it properly and not having those high levels fast enough can make them pass out

You'd still have to pay them properly. This generation won't work for "exposure" or "experience" any more. The days that kids are willing to be exploited by cheapskates is over.
Good on this girl. These days weddings have become such a big way to drain people, with media making people think they need all those add on unnecessary things. The most important thing is to have a happy time, easy quick and relaxed. No need for tons of flowers or tons of money spent on unnecessary shite, when you can have a quick cheap wedding and have an amazing holiday after
🤣🤣🤣😁👍🏽 I loved it when David said I'm glad you love it cause I already gave her your CC #!" LOL and the look on her face and she said "can you do that?!" 🤣🤣🤣
My husband and I paid for our wedding ourselves so we were on a budget. We sat down from the get-go and determined what we thought was most important to us. We felt that making our guests feel welcome and showing them a good time was paramount because the most important to us was just getting married. With that in mind we got lucky, our church was beautiful so didn’t need much by way of flowers. I went downtown to fashion district and got bolts of tuille and silk (with flaws because it wouldn’t be seen) extremely cheap. Had those tied to pews with ivy along with lillies and church candles and I went to the flower mart with bridesmaids to pick up the lillies, hydrangeas, peonies and roses and created two huge floral arrangements at the alter myself. We gave all of it to the church for their services the next day. The whole thing cost a couple of hundred dollars but would have cost over a thousand if done by a florist. Had an art student do calligraphy for envelopes on invitations and table cards etc. Her quote was $300 for 200 invitations and all the rest. Went to a stationary supply manufacturer and got top of the line card stock, punched holes at the top myself and tied a small satin ribbon (from the dollar store) and paid only a couple of hundred for those. Then went to printing factory downtown to get raised printing for next to nothing. A couple of hundred for all that. Had custom truffles made in the shape of sea shells made by a new choclatier wanting to promote her new business then gave her chevron seashells I’d bought (and washed thoroughly!) from the dollar store along with some netting and satin ribbon and she put together beautiful guest gifts for an incredibly low price. She surprised me by actually gifting them to me so I had the calligrapher make a small card for the table with the seating cards giving thanks to her for her lovely guest gifts. I had numerous people ask me after the wedding for her information. We did splurge on the alcohol, food, my dress (couldn’t help it!) and had a baby sitter hired, along with pizza, drinks, snacks, and dessert, in a guest room of the hotel venue so guests could bring their children to the wedding and yet enjoy adult time at the reception. The rest I got creative with. A beautiful wedding can be done, with a little ingenuity, very inexpensively if youre willing to put in a little work. It’s one way to get around the inflated prices for weddings.
Sounds beautiful, I'm jelly! About to be 40 dunno why I'm torturing myself watching all these. I've been with the same guy since I was 14, 3 children but never even been asked, I feel sad but it's nice to see so many women out there have these awesome days! I really hope now I get to see My kids get married.
Why have a wedding? Just elope or have your priest/pastor marry you and have a nice intimate dinner with your parents and best friends since you have a limited budget.
I agree you must stay on budget. But you also must budget for everything. Why have a wedding at all? I lovely elopement is always an option for someone on such a tight budget that they cannot have food or drinks. I know I always keep the cash gift until after the wedding if its a cash bar. Lol!
The original necklace was more classic in many ways ,back in the 1800's larger jewelry covered bare skin,so much chest can be distracting and take away from the bride and her dress and the couple as a whole. The tiara was maybe more kids dress up,cute but worth an upgrade. The mom should have just done the flowers from the get go.She was talented, and the flowers were probably some of the loveliest I've seen on the 2000's video clips.
the sad side of diabetes is that because your cells don't use or get the carbs correctly, they crave them. you need sugar because it represents energy and energy runs the metabolic processes that go on inside your cells. it's a horrible disease. ir was sad to see him eating sugar throught this episode because i could tell his body was begging him for it. i hope he is able to battle sugar like if it was a cigarette addiction. bless them both.
But then where would the drama be? Do you honestly think this is totally “reality??” Do the couples just get their 15 minutes of fame or does the program in fact pay them something?
Kevin can't help much with the cost of the wedding because his diabetes drained most of their💰💰 Kevin at the dessert table.😲 Kevin eating cotton candy.😱 Kevin gonna be back to not helping much.😥😥
If one is on a budget but time is not an essence- but, if there is neither one, trouble looms. If one has time, creative and resourceful- then a strict budget is more than doable.
Me and my husband paid for are own wedding. We both saved our money since we were young so we could afford to spend the $40,000 dollars that we spent for the 116 people that we had.
I was a more frugal bride than ANY of these women. But it makes sense that she's the most frugal he's dealt with because I didn't have a wedding planner due to cost. Lol Married 11 years and people are still talking about how awesome our wedding was. It's totally possible to have a beautiful and awesome wedding and reception without breaking the bank.
I would be happy to attend a pot luck wedding dinner. It’s just people pitching in to celebrate someone’s big day. Much better than the cash-grubbing brides I hear about sometimes.
It definitely is. Pretty much every episode someone has to confess about spending they failed to admit to earlier (like for cotton candy, entertainment or fancy transport). I don't think there are that many couples that have the exact same communication problem and just happen to be on the same TV show. I think the student photographer photos were fake, as no one is that bad. Plus her hair mishap seems fake. Funny that she would refuse to go to a salon, but then pay for herself and her bridesmaids to have hair and makeup.
I think more people should be strict with their budget like she was. Think about it- if more couples we're more disciplined with their spending then hosting a wedding would eventually be SOOOOOO much more affordable. This is the definition of 'supply and demand 101' of getting that Wedding Planner PHD diploma. When you play the OBNOXIOUS, trashy role of 'Bridezilla' all you're doing is driving the cost of a wedding up so astronomically that other couples feel ashamed and the need to compete with one another only to ensure that invitations which literally cost $1-2 a piece end up costing $6-10 each. Additionally, have you ever watched an attention-starved 'Bridezilla' and NOT cringe at their 'performance'?? Its an act- an excuse to act like a child because somehow they think its expected of them to appear 'in controll". Sorry but this girl and all the other little girls who glorify acting like her are basically giving their groom-to-be a good glimpse of what kind of wife they will be. YOU'RE ACTING LIKE THE OBNOXIOUS BRAT THAT MEN DIVORCE, NOT MARRY AND YOU'RE ALSO ON TV ACTING LIKE A JOKE!!!!!!
The wedding went off fine thanks to Lindsey's efforts....but not sure about this marriage. I did not see any chemistry between this couple. And Kevin's childish insistence on a popcorn and candy machine at the wedding left me wondering about his mental age. I mean how old is he? 10?
I think the bride is reasonable.. I've seen people spend 250,000 for one day and didn't last a yr. The groom ended up with yrs of debt. David was a great and fun wedding planner. And he did a great job.. It was a beautiful wedding and the budget was great.
This is a very irresponsible groom. You would think instead of foods that are pure sugar and crammed full of carbs he would have demanded sugar free instead of demanding cotton candy. Either this guy's going to die early or this young lady is going to walk away from this marriage. The wedding planner was very unprofessional. He tried to make her feel bad for staying with the budget.
Love that she has a budget and is sticking to it! She has her priorities straight

🥰 the DIY 👰🏽♀️ and saving 💵 to go under budget by $2,253 but please don’t ever, I repeat, EVER, bleach dyed your natural 👱🏻♀️ hair! It’s not good!
You could absolutely find a good student photographer
You'd still have to pay them properly. This generation won't work for "exposure" or "experience" any more. The days that kids are willing to be exploited by cheapskates is over.
I love the planner...love these guys too
A delightful couple..
I could see them staying together for life
Good on this girl. These days weddings have become such a big way to drain people, with media making people think they need all those add on unnecessary things. The most important thing is to have a happy time, easy quick and relaxed. No need for tons of flowers or tons of money spent on unnecessary shite, when you can have a quick cheap wedding and have an amazing holiday after
This is my favourite couple, I watched this episode twice already.
Sounds amazing xx
The hotel room babysitter is an awesome idea!!
SHARI CONGRATULATIONS MY WEDDING WAS ACTUALLY LIKE YOURS. AND IT WAS SO MUCH FUN. 😉 🥰
A diabetic with no job?! I would have hit the delete button on this match.
My daughter and daughter in law are the best home cooks ever.
The necklace on the mannequin behind her looked pretty nice to have w her dress for it's size and design
Why have a wedding? Just elope or have your priest/pastor marry you and have a nice intimate dinner with your parents and best friends since you have a limited budget.
That sounds horrible
Sounds awesome
The blinds hair was absolutely gruesome!
I would take being called the most frugal bride or groom as a badge of honor
I agree you must stay on budget. But you also must budget for everything. Why have a wedding at all? I lovely elopement is always an option for someone on such a tight budget that they cannot have food or drinks.
I know I always keep the cash gift until after the wedding if its a cash bar. Lol!
Just hold a reception alone
I want him to be my wedding planner :) Where’s my future husband btw?
This is an adorable couple!
She had to use PRELL SHAMPOO and wash it through 3XS and it would've come right out! LOL 😂
Or Dawn dishwashing liquid, once and DONE ✅
The original necklace was more classic in many ways ,back in the 1800's larger jewelry covered bare skin,so much chest can be distracting and take away from the bride and her dress and the couple as a whole. The tiara was maybe more kids dress up,cute but worth an upgrade. The mom should have just done the flowers from the get go.She was talented, and the flowers were probably some of the loveliest I've seen on the 2000's video clips.
Why not just cut down on the number of people and invite 40-50 ppl ? 🤷🏻♀️
"Mother was right. I should have gone to law school."
ABS beautiful couple. I feel sad that he has medical issues and had to pay so much money, the American health system is so sad. Truly happy for them.
Even if this isn't real. I think it is a great idea
That's what they call they're called a wedding planner give them the budget and let them do it
Let me guess - she used the T18 purple toner. I guess she never watched Brad Mondo...
TBF, this was probably filmed 20 years ago.
I’m so glad it was under budget!!!
All time fav episode. Love the cheep fun and... "I'm so pretty!!" 🤣
the sad side of diabetes is that because your cells don't use or get the carbs correctly, they crave them. you need sugar because it represents energy and energy runs the metabolic processes that go on inside your cells. it's a horrible disease. ir was sad to see him eating sugar throught this episode because i could tell his body was begging him for it. i hope he is able to battle sugar like if it was a cigarette addiction. bless them both.
i knew her hair was going to come out wrong
Was so fake
What a sweet couple!!
32:27 her hair turned blue/grey because of the grocery bag she put on her head. Lord have Mercy.
The best cut they could have done would have been to cut that wedding planner. He was constantly rude and arguing with the bride.
But then where would the drama be? Do you honestly think this is totally “reality??” Do the couples just get their 15 minutes of fame or does the program in fact pay them something?
Kevin can't help much with the cost of the wedding because his diabetes drained most of their💰💰 Kevin at the dessert table.😲 Kevin eating cotton candy.😱 Kevin gonna be back to not helping much.😥😥
this is my favourite couple congratulations
There IS such a thing as being too frugal....😐
If one is on a budget but time is not an essence- but, if there is neither one, trouble looms. If one has time, creative and resourceful- then a strict budget is more than doable.
How could David bring those mini bouquets to the bridesmaids?
"I don't have any money" he says. Does he even have a job? I wouldn't marry him until he was financially stable.
Me and my husband paid for are own wedding. We both saved our money since we were young so we could afford to spend the $40,000 dollars that we spent for the 116 people that we had.
When I got married the first time my father paid for it my husband didn't even care he just let everybody else do it which was kind of nice.
I was a more frugal bride than ANY of these women. But it makes sense that she's the most frugal he's dealt with because I didn't have a wedding planner due to cost. Lol
Married 11 years and people are still talking about how awesome our wedding was. It's totally possible to have a beautiful and awesome wedding and reception without breaking the bank.
decrease the number of people
I would be happy to attend a pot luck wedding dinner. It’s just people pitching in to celebrate someone’s big day. Much better than the cash-grubbing brides I hear about sometimes.
Love this episode, absolutely the funniest one!!!😆😆😆
This is the first bride I haven’t wanted to punch. She wasn’t insufferable at all. And even when she was “freaking out” she wasn’t actually.
I feel like some of this has to be staged. I've been a part of the planning of a few weddings and never seen this much go wrong. lol
I have
The hair thing was so fake.
It's the Jamaican patties for me 🤣😂🤣😂🤣
coolest bride ever!
Bride: it's pink! It's pink!
David: It is pink!
Narrator: I guess it is pink.
Wow! She was under budget...nice! SMART Blonde, this one is a keeper. But Mama was the G.O.A.T, her blue hair, that was scary!!
So she did her own hair but he got $800 popcorn !
YOU'RE ACTING LIKE THE OBNOXIOUS BRAT THAT MEN DIVORCE, NOT MARRY AND YOU'RE ALSO ON TV ACTING LIKE A JOKE!!!!!!
she is paying
@@victoriabishop1057 ??? I don't understand what your comment is supposed to mean.
You sound bitter and judgemental. Good luck if you end up being someone's in-law. Holly crap.
She’s so cute and nice
This is why you don't want to add extra things last minute
This is one of the few where the older relatives are the non-sensible, unrealistic, immature, spolied people
The wedding went off fine thanks to Lindsey's efforts....but not sure about this marriage. I did not see any chemistry between this couple. And Kevin's childish insistence on a popcorn and candy machine at the wedding left me wondering about his mental age. I mean how old is he? 10?
He is spending money like it grew on a tree that he watered and tended 🤨
Well done
I think the bride is reasonable.. I've seen people spend 250,000 for one day and didn't last a yr. The groom ended up with yrs of debt.
David was a great and fun wedding planner. And he did a great job..
It was a beautiful wedding and the budget was great.
This is a good bride 👏👏👏👏👏
Funeral classy, well now i have heard everything.
I agree, that necklace was awful.
And he's diabetic
