I recommend adding the spooky mod as it is a replacement project from the people who made the mod that was some fancy way to say ultimate, and they dropped that mod to make the spooky mod (also the joost mod if it's ported
If you really do plan to enact a mega mod playthrough, just know it will be VERY laggy by the time you start getting more flashy weaponry. You will most likely need to install High FPS support, and if a content allows you to configure the amount of particles allowed (calamity lets you limit how many particles the mod can make if you are having performance issues, for example.) You also will likely run into a problem that some weapons from certain mods are just too underpowered. I would suggest the Ragnarok mod if calamity and thorium will be enabled, as it does a really good job of making the two mods feel better together iI would love to see a playthrough like this, just warning of the problems
this is my favorite mod its very underrated and honestly higher quality than most big mods. the pre-hardmode experience feels like a survival game and i love the new music it adds to biomes
Yoooo Spirit mod, my favorite! Super cool to see you play it. You mentioned that you're planning on doing a mega modded playthrough, and as i just finished one this month i think i can give some advice and recommendations. First, after making a modpack i would check if all the bosses work. It sounds dumb but trust me, they break more then one might think. For me all of hardmode mod of redemption bosses besides the lab ones either didn't spawn, or didn't drop thier loot. DoG also din't want to spaw for some time. That's why i would recommend to play with cheat sheet or some other mod like that (spawning in Leviathan and Anahita is so painfull since you only get one normal ocean and it's likley that thorriums aquatic depths and spirit mods deep ocean will overwrite her spawns, even if just for spawning them in i recommend a cheat mod like that). Another thing is the world gen. A lot of mods make the world very cluttered. Thigs that i would look out at the most are: Starlight river structures, you can't break blocks in them so if something from a different mod generates on top of them it's gonna be ugly. Second: Redemption mods lab generating in calamitys sunken sea. The lab makes the water damage you and it makes both of these places impossible to explore. I would make a character to check for a good world by map reavealing and teleporting to important places to see if they are alright, then once you find a good world deleting the character and making a fresh one so you don't start with a fully revealed map. These are the too biggest ones, but cheat sheet kind of mods help to prep for them and fix them on the spot mid playthrough. Also use a large world size, i think that's a given but wanted to mention it anyways. It takes more time to make the worlds, but also lowers the clutter. Besides the general how to not get a bad experience by mixing a lot of mods i also have a bunch of mods that i think could work well in a mega modpack, here they go: -Spooky mod - this one is a must play. It's one of the highest quality mods out there, the pixel art is so good and adds a good bunch of new content from biomes, through dungeons to bosses, high quality content all around. It couses a lot of world gen problems (half of my worlds had to go because the catacombs generated over the vitirc forge) but i'll say it's worth it. -Consolaria - this one brings the charm of old gen to the pc. Not enough stuff for a full playthrough on it's own, but perfect for such a modpack. -Vitality - this one is not that good. i like it, but the quality isn't the highest. I would still give it a shot tho. It adds no new biomes or strucures so it doesn't add to the clutter but still adds bosses and items so still adds content. On the topic of it's bosses, while not that good looking and simple i've found them to be suprisingly fun to fight. They're kinda easy but the attack patters felt so vanilla it was oddly satisfying. -Arbour - this is a VERY small mod adding a new kind of flying island. Nothing special, but makes the sky a little bit more interesting to explore. -Verdant - it's like arbour, but bigger. Adds a new lush biome in wich u can get some neat items, and an npc in the center. It doesn't add much usefull items besides two summoner sets but i enjoyed playing with it. -Everjade - The last of the small biome mod trio, this one adds a nice looking underground biome with some usefull earlygame loot. Of all 3 it breaks world gen the most but it's not too bad, never had a maior issue with it. -Exxo Avalon - I think you already might know this one, and if not check it out for yourself. Just if you end up use it, don't chose the evil biome it adds as your main one, it overwrites other biome spawns and pylons, i recoment you use a terraformer and it's solution to make the biome yourself with a world checking character. -Storm's additions - This one is i think at the line of being just bearly good enough to have it in. Some bosses, some items. I enjoyed it. It's small size makes it just right to put into a bigger modpack. -Exalt - It's the same story as Storm's additions but much better sprites. -Fractures of Penumbra - This is kinda like starlight river. Adds a small ammount of quality things to the game. -Magic Shark Canon - This adds just one npc. She sells a funny type of potions called soda pops. I like it becuse i find the npc funny that's all. -Wich mod is this from - Sound like it could come in use. I didn't really feel it's impact like, at all but the viewers might see a cool item and want to pause to see what mod is it from. -Bank buttons - A neat qol mod that allows you to open up biggy bank, void bank, safe and defenders forge without needing to place them. Gives free inventory space. and you want as much space as you can as not only the world is gonna be cluttered but also your inventory. -Expanted Terraria - This is like, the vanilla plus mod. Only items but one that feel very vanilla like and that makes it pretty good for a bigger modpack. I've also got a few mods to watch out for since they might break your experience: Terramania, Echoes of the Ancient, Eternal, Awful Garbage mod, Glory mod, Valhalla mod, Avakened Light, Project: ZERO, Homeward Jurney, Lunar Veil, Secrets of the Shadows. All these mods have either: low quality (to the point that for example there were armors wich have badly done sprite sheets and so the armors animations didn't match the player character), not meshing well with world gen (one of these adds like a frozen hell biome? and it's just a little strip not even a screen long cuse brimstone craks just eat the rest of it), adding simply annoying biomes (blocks take long to mine or you just get blinded and can't see only a few tiles ahead of you) or overwriting other mods spawns (it's a recurring problem, with bosses it's not that bad but manually spawing in enemies to farm them, can't imagine that). A bunch of these are very cool on thier own, but don't work well with the big boys like calamity, thorium, spirit or redemption. Sorry for the essay ahh comment hope i din't bore you to death with it and that it'll help with the giant modpack. Best of luck with it! These are a lot of fun, i have almost 200 hours on both of my mega modded worlds and these 200 hours were an absolute blast!
Spirit is such an underrated mod. The fact that a lot of the people I talked to about it have never even heard of it, while a lot of objectively inferior mods are household names, makes me irrationally upset.
Glad spirit is getting some love, the devs have so many original ideas and is one of those mods that makes your world both feel more alive but also MAGICAL, more fantastical. The briar is an amazing biome, one of my favourite biomes maybe just because of the tematic, but the spirit biome also looks and feels unique.
Hey @ArianW I like your idea about the mega modpack but there was something that I noticed I played Infernum Calamity with Fargos Souls mod Eternity mode and Skeletron would keep on healing itself (making it impossible to kill)even with a compatibility mod so I would try to find a work around for that but otherwise, Good Luck with your mega mod pack 😇😇😇
I remember this mod. I used it my 1st modded playthrough alongside Fargo's and Calamity. The Jelly event gets incredibly annoying since for me it was practically every 5 minutes it spawned
If we're talking about mod suggestions I would love to see you play Split. It's such a spectacular and beautiful mod that even to this day stands as my top one Terraria mod. Unfortunately though the devs are still working hard for a 1.4 update so it's only available in previous versions.
Hey Adrian!! Have you tried to defeat the nameless deity before? It's crazy fun. The mod pack name is called 'Calamity: Wrath of the Gods' don't know if I've seen you fight it before. Love your videos! There alwase a good inspiration to start playing more terraria! ❤
Something I remember ‘bout spirit mod The final boss used to not be atlas, it used to be a boss called overseer (which I believe was post moon lord too) that was eventually removed from the mod, kinda like how another hard mode boss, ethereal umbra, was also removed (rip to a real one)
If you want to put all of those major content mods in one world, Ive heard that theres a mod that lets you generate worlds bigger than the "large" size, so you'll probably want to look into that to make sure that the generated structures and biomes don't overlap
Hey, dont know if you take class mods, but arteficers accessorys is my personal favourite. It does have a post game addon for some big mods like calamity, thorium, mod of redemption and the story of red cloud funnily enough. So that. It "might" be a bit strong but that mostly happens post moonlord.
Moonlord doesn't do contact damage with his sprite, to dodge the head laser you're supposed to get really close to him and circle the top laser cus he doesn't move around while it's going off
i dont get how playing the mods of the megapack before doing as such is gonna be fun, since you already know what to do, and how its gonna make a difference on if the game breaks or not
One problem with combining all your mods together: Calamity and Spirit Mod both have weapons called the Starfleet. I'm lying - there's not one problem, there's hundreds. :)
guess youre part of the family now... hug... love the content the sence of humour hits the spot xD and i love terraria too :) so its a win win... hug... Waflearmy sorry XD

If Thorium is like a vanilla expansion, and Calamity is the opposite, the Spirit Mod sits right in the middle.
Honestly spirit is literally feeling like vanilla dlc I can't lie with how insane the quality of everything is

yoo 17 seconds ago???
Adrian. That mega modpack is going to be nuts
