I genuinely don't think people would notice you were doing this without the input display. That Chipp could have done literally anything but mash his face into you all game and won. I'm... speechless, truly. 10/10.
The general idea behind that is eventually you’re gonna use a high recovery move, or something akin to that, and just get nuked. So the opponent can figure out ‘you’re mashing’ and wait for you to fuck up.
You have peaked. The fgc has peaked. This is the greatest fighting game video made. Possibly ever. Better than justin wong's marvel 2 match. Better than infiltration vs pr balrog. Better than evo moment 37. You've done it. The perfect fighting game clip is here. Godspeed.
This is the biggest moment in the fgc. This is bigger than moment 37, the discovery of the Korean backdash, the invention of modern controls and the innovation that is rollback, there is nothing more important in all of fighting games than this very moment.
As a Tekken player, this is beautiful and fucking terrifying. The mashing on the attack cutscenes is too real. I know for a fact you could rank up like this in Tekken. Wish we had that controller display, it would be so funny.
Honestly man I see people with inputs looking like this up to Bushin and I just can't deal with that shit. XD Give me a technical TG any day of the week at least I can try to anticipate that.
dude, watching both of them play is killing me. Like as a chipp main I put my soul into trying to play decently and seeing a potemkin mash and WIN. AND WIN. I HATE IT SO MUCH
This is a strat from the old days of fighting games that is actually next to impossible to counter, it allows you to be unreadable by your opponent and thus always keep them on their toes which can be powerful for planning your attack. It is banned in every tournament however and it is stated in the rules of every tournament that assasins will come after you if you try this so you don't usually see it happen.
Bro beating the fuck outta his stick, I commend such Pure Potemkin gameplay. Wake up Buster is my favroite input, if that stick ain't done more than 2 circles per seconds it ain't rotated enough :3c
Ive seen this video circulating for 2 years. Ive lost friends. Ive met new friends. Ive experienced so much and just seeing the fact two years have passed since posting this video to my vc friend group which im no longer in contact with. Its nostalgic. Thank you, for the laughs and memories this goofy video brought to me. It might be a silly video of you mashing, but to me it was the light that made some old friends laugh. It means a ton. Ill keep using this video, it means a lot to me. It gives me a sense of community even if my life is rough.
I had a similar experience like that once during winter break. I had only first touched Strive the day before (I don’t really play fighting games), and my friends and I, one of which played Strive with the goal of being competitive, went to an overnight lock-in at a lan arcade They had a custom made cabinet playing Strive, so I took the controls, Sol Badguy, and started mashing. I won, then kept winning. I had no idea what I was doing; between the bewildering victories and the sleep deprivation, I started laughing like a maniac. I was asked how I knew to perform the combos that I was pulling off, I could only force out, “I don’t know!” between bouts of laughter. Eventually, my mash mania wore off, and I had my ass summarily handed to me by my experienced friend (playing Happy Chaos), but those thirty minutes of mashed potatoes made my night.
