    The entire Sounders apparatus is grateful the MLS doesn’t have relegation. It’s this kind of complacency and lack of respect for the supporters time and money that will damage this teams reputation long term.

      @BigDickMcFlick Месяц назад +1

      I'd argue that if the MLS had Promotion/Relegation.... then Seattle Sounders would have never allowed this situation to happen in the first place.
      The staff is complacent. The players reflect that complacency. They've been riding on their past reputation for years because there is nothing like Relegation to make the club feel a sense of urgency.

    • @ec0928
      @ec0928 Месяц назад +1

      @@BigDickMcFlick Couldn't agree more. Without Pro/Rel, it encourages team complacency because they know that there is absolutely ZERO penalty whatsoever for finishing dead last in the league. Nobody who should be held accountable is actually held accountable and it's simply a recipe for disaster. It's how they can get away with this (majority of the time). And with our current playoffs system, it's easier than ever to make the playoffs which imho is WAY. TOO. DAMN. EASY to qualify for if you actually do your job.

    Who ever Jose is, He is the best reporter asking the question about the tactics NOT WORKING!!! Everyone in my section went pass for pass for 8 passes in a row BEFORE the Regen red card. If things don't change Schmetz is out in July. Andy Rose or Perki get the helm.

    It seems there’s too many “polite” reporters who are probably afraid to be closed off from the club for asking the wrong questions. Jose is just asking the straight questions with not a lot of fluff. Sometimes you just need to get the message across. The lack of good signings in this club compared to a lot of top teams in the MLS is shameful. Even if de la Vega would have stayed healthy it wouldn’t had been enough. We’re quickly falling behind from being regular title contenders in MLS

    There should be a refund to the fans that attended this crap. Refund me for breaking my big screen at least. Morris is done. The dude cannot score anymore. It is time. No more excuses for him. Regan is a close second! Gifted goals for Vancouver you say? Why the heck are we dribbling the ball out of the back 1 and 2 men down? I have alot more to say but am holding myself back. His use of the word "hopefully" in particular has me shaking my head. It doesn't instill me with much confidence in Brian's abilities as a manager. "Hopefully" getting wins and turning this ship around is not a word that a good leader says/uses. Generally, strong and motivated leaders use something like "will" instead.

    Gotta find the fire and the passion for the game. There’s a certain level of ennui, a disconnect from all of them. We see glimmers of motivation from Rusnak, but so many others are just lifeless. I love Morris and what he’s done in the past, but he looks lost half the time.
    The team just waits for an opportunity instead of making them for themselves. And they just can’t “finish” or get near the goal. So sad to be at that game last night. Fans were leaving a good 15 minutes before its end.

  • @assassinave
    @assassinave Месяц назад +1

    The team has no fight. It doesn't have any fun out there. They've looked like they've been in preseason form for the last few years. I get we're still hung over from the Oba, Dempsey years, but the tactics aren't built around players who can deliver.
    The coaching staff has nary considered counterattacking as an option. Second lowest on CA opportunity this year means we have no strategy and you can see if because every player has a mental deficit to not either make a run, pass the ball early or resist pulling it back and recycling play.
    Cody Baker needs to platoon with Alex more. I think his crossing has been mediocre for years and yet his tenure persists.
    Cristian is dynamic, but not enough to play an actual winger. He's definitely created goals, but it's not enough that you'd keep anyone there (and yes the options are limited). I'd rather move him back to center mid chance creator and put in literally anyone else on the wing (outside of Leyva).
    Morris needs to move between starter and sub. Fitness obviously plays into him always starting, but I'm going to take some minor defensive liabilities if goals have a higher chance and I'd say it's time we do.
    End of season should loom large for all assistant coaches. The tactics suck, the team is uninterested and a Wooden Spoon certainly sends a message.

    It's pathetically obvious. This is a Brian issue. Just like before his hire, the team became stale and lost. Fast forward 8 years, and the team is now again stale and lost. A new voice and vision is what's needed just as hiring Brian delivered a lot of great memories and 2 MLS Cups, but that's all they are. Memories haven't and won't win MLS Cup. Sounder brass have the guts to get this great team back on track before another year disappointingly slithers away.
