Sit Morris down and put in Musovski.
Long over due. Most over rated player in our teams history
The entire Sounders apparatus is grateful the MLS doesn’t have relegation. It’s this kind of complacency and lack of respect for the supporters time and money that will damage this teams reputation long term.
I'd argue that if the MLS had Promotion/Relegation.... then Seattle Sounders would have never allowed this situation to happen in the first place.
The staff is complacent. The players reflect that complacency. They've been riding on their past reputation for years because there is nothing like Relegation to make the club feel a sense of urgency.
@@BigDickMcFlick Couldn't agree more. Without Pro/Rel, it encourages team complacency because they know that there is absolutely ZERO penalty whatsoever for finishing dead last in the league. Nobody who should be held accountable is actually held accountable and it's simply a recipe for disaster. It's how they can get away with this (majority of the time). And with our current playoffs system, it's easier than ever to make the playoffs which imho is WAY. TOO. DAMN. EASY to qualify for if you actually do your job.
"We're still a little incomplete without De La Vega'.
He's played 2 games for a total of 89 minutes.
A continual string of so far empty words. Every game there’s talk about “fixing things” and “we’ll make changes if we see fit” yet we trot out the same lineup with the same game plan. When are the people in charge going to be held accountable???
Who ever Jose is, He is the best reporter asking the question about the tactics NOT WORKING!!! Everyone in my section went pass for pass for 8 passes in a row BEFORE the Regen red card. If things don't change Schmetz is out in July. Andy Rose or Perki get the helm.
The whole staff is thumbs down right now. We can't get Oba, Dempsey production out of this team and Preki and Rose aren't enough to keep us from the Wooden Spoon.
What brand of pen do you use coach? That sucker takes a licking and keeps on clicking. I’m sold!
Hang in there team. You always pull it around. Don’t listen to the negativity. 👍🏼
Every presser is the same; what is going on? (Remember when this was a proper club? I'm starting to forget.)
jose askes the questions us fans wish we could ask. thanks jose
It seems there’s too many “polite” reporters who are probably afraid to be closed off from the club for asking the wrong questions. Jose is just asking the straight questions with not a lot of fluff. Sometimes you just need to get the message across. The lack of good signings in this club compared to a lot of top teams in the MLS is shameful. Even if de la Vega would have stayed healthy it wouldn’t had been enough. We’re quickly falling behind from being regular title contenders in MLS
There should be a refund to the fans that attended this crap. Refund me for breaking my big screen at least. Morris is done. The dude cannot score anymore. It is time. No more excuses for him. Regan is a close second! Gifted goals for Vancouver you say? Why the heck are we dribbling the ball out of the back 1 and 2 men down? I have alot more to say but am holding myself back. This team is melting down.
Poor defending and lack of effort
So many excuses. Staff has lost the dressing room, it’s time for a fire sale.
Where is the passion? Why does Schmetzer seem so exhausted? It's giving off vibes that he doesn't care anymore
His use of the word "hopefully" in particular has me shaking my head. It doesn't instill me with much confidence in Brian's abilities as a manager. "Hopefully" getting wins and turning this ship around is not a word that a good leader says/uses. Generally, strong and motivated leaders use something like "will" instead.
Why is Jordan Morris still starting?
Preki needs to be givthe reigns immediately
Preki doesn't change our fate friend. He might even be the problem.
@@assassinave I agree but Brian has Togo. Him being a problem is a stretch for me
Gotta find the fire and the passion for the game. There’s a certain level of ennui, a disconnect from all of them. We see glimmers of motivation from Rusnak, but so many others are just lifeless. I love Morris and what he’s done in the past, but he looks lost half the time.
The team just waits for an opportunity instead of making them for themselves. And they just can’t “finish” or get near the goal. So sad to be at that game last night. Fans were leaving a good 15 minutes before its end.
You really need to bench Yeimar and Xavi for those MAJOR INDIVIDUAL ERRORS that directly lost us the game. We were entirely uninspiring otherwise, but those things can't be excused.
It’s not just them tho. The entire defense. We’re trying to pass in the back like we’re prime Barcelona… and we’ve done it all season and for some reason they still don’t get it. They lack creativity. It’s everyone’s fault.
with Ragen out for the red card, are you suggesting no center backs?
@@angryweasel yeah screw it, Nouhou/Nathan/Cody as three in the back, maybe add RBW if he ever gets healthy again. I'm not sure we could be worse anyway.
Washed up team and a coach who is out of ideas and can't motivate the team. Brian is now on the Sigi path.
he should have been fired last year
Nadir of the season? No, it's going to get much worse.
Portland away is coming up
I love the coach, but he makes a mistake this time, after the first red card he sent the wrong message to the players, and the loser’s chip got turned on in everybody’s heads until it was too late. Please sometime you play better with 10 guys.
Best part is we still owe Morris 6 million dollars in his contract. This team is beyond FUBAR
The team has no fight. It doesn't have any fun out there. They've looked like they've been in preseason form for the last few years. I get we're still hung over from the Oba, Dempsey years, but the tactics aren't built around players who can deliver.
The coaching staff has nary considered counterattacking as an option. Second lowest on CA opportunity this year means we have no strategy and you can see if because every player has a mental deficit to not either make a run, pass the ball early or resist pulling it back and recycling play.
Cody Baker needs to platoon with Alex more. I think his crossing has been mediocre for years and yet his tenure persists.
Cristian is dynamic, but not enough to play an actual winger. He's definitely created goals, but it's not enough that you'd keep anyone there (and yes the options are limited). I'd rather move him back to center mid chance creator and put in literally anyone else on the wing (outside of Leyva).
Morris needs to move between starter and sub. Fitness obviously plays into him always starting, but I'm going to take some minor defensive liabilities if goals have a higher chance and I'd say it's time we do.
End of season should loom large for all assistant coaches. The tactics suck, the team is uninterested and a Wooden Spoon certainly sends a message.
Talking about long throw-ins at half-time is not a good look...
It's pathetically obvious. This is a Brian issue. Just like before his hire, the team became stale and lost. Fast forward 8 years, and the team is now again stale and lost. A new voice and vision is what's needed just as hiring Brian delivered a lot of great memories and 2 MLS Cups, but that's all they are. Memories haven't and won't win MLS Cup. Sounder brass have the guts to get this great team back on track before another year disappointingly slithers away.
“Why did you sub out Raul, our most dangerous player?”
“Because usually when teams get a red card they take out the forward”
Uhhh, glad we now know how Schmetzer makes his tactical decisions.
😭
“I don’t know “ he needs to let go the team… retire gracefully already.
Time for Shmetzer to go. This team is stale, undisciplined.this is not 2016. We need a European manager.
Nope......
I won’t say we need a European manager, but we need fresh ideas and tactics. Doesn’t necessarily need to be European, but I don’t disagree we need a change.
@@lucascassol2995this has been coming for 2 years. This is who they are. In Soccer, Seattle is actually a “big market” team. The best coaches in the world come from Europe. Go get one. Someone like Steve cooper. He did great at Forest. 😊
Bro just retire already ffs
I feel for the coach. His body language speaks volumes. Seattle has gotten the reputation of being a dirty team. This game tonight against Vancouver Whitecaps shows this clearly. Shame on you for this bad behaviour. This is not good for the game of soccer nor the MLS.
This is some of the ignorant drivel I've ever read about MLS in years. Go throw your computer in the nearest body of water.
@@l_ROAR_l Good thing you didn't see his comment in the match highlights for this video. 🙄
This is a grown ass man by the way.
Seattle has never had the reputation of a dirty team and isn’t a dirty team.
