      @endrew.h.5998 3 года назад +5

      @@motunrayobabatunde1963 - Biggest difference is that business analytics can sit in various places across the firm. However, more commonly working more closely with Product Owners, Management team, and CXO's. Tasks wise this can be very specific analysis of a certain function in that business, it can be anything related to one product, it can be supply chain and so forth. (Broad strokes)
      Whilst Marketing Analysts and Marketing Analytics tends to swirling around Web Analytics, Performance Marketing (Paid Advertisement) Analytics, and more traditional market research such as brand voice, customer research and so forth. (Also broad strokes)
      However, due to share number of data you work with as Market Analysts, there is certainly potential to make a switch to Business Analyst role at some point, as I have a lot of ex-colleagues that took that switch. However, both roles is working very closely with the core goals of the business, which is finding ways to get higher profits/lower cost.

      Hi Leslie,
      Not needed, but is beneficial. The faster you can learn how to pull data, clean the data, and present it. The better your chances for landing a Marketing Analytics job. However, you can go far with pulling data, cleaning data, and drawing actionable items out of the said data. This is the core skill. Visualization is the added bonus that increase your wage and adds weight.

    Hi Jen, can you please tell me is it a good idea to do Masters in Engineering Management with specialization in Data Analytics or Masters in Information System to land a Data Analyst job?
    I mean which Masters degree will help me acquire skills and knowledge required for Data Analyst.
    I have admit from Stevens for Engineering Management, but if Masters in Information System will help me most to become Data Analsyt I will request university to change my branch.

    • @TheCareerForce

      Hi Pratik - Engineering Management would typically be more for someone who wants to work in engineering. MIS is a better degree for a data analyst, but make sure it also has the focus on the hands-on analytics, not just the system level. Different programs prioritize differently. If you have the option, consider a degree that's more focused on analytics/data science.

    What is difference between digital marketing and digital marketing analyst

    • @endrew.h.5998
      @endrew.h.5998 3 года назад +6

      Digital marketing encompass anything related to the digital business of a company. That can be advertising, website, branding, seo, social media, youtube, newspapers, blogs, and so forth.
      Digital Marketing Analyst digs in the data to find insight on what is working/not working. Typically, you follow the business KPI's such as revenue (or profit increase), and cost control. As analyst, you work on finding ways to manipulate those levers that helps the business KPIs.
      In startups, boutique agencies, to medium sized business, digital marketing analysts tends to be across the whole specter in Digital Marketing. However, at large/enterprises - Digital Marketing Analyst might be in charge of one channel instead and report to VP/Head of Marketing/Data.
