I wiz absolutely livid with the way we performed on seturday, I thought getting gubbed by them would've been a thing of the past, hopefully we've got it oot of wir system now and that never happens again.
3-3 out on penalties and 6-0, are the same thing. Out of the cup, and no cup final. They need a win on Saturday to prove it’s not all over. I’d certainly drop Duk to bench. You know my feelings on him, he’s a great impact sub, but doesn’t do enough to warrant a starting spot. Morris is another impact sub, his pace and directness is killer in last 30 mins with players tiring. I think Vinnie is a better bet to start, he’s got a better all round game. I think Keskinen might be carrying an injury, and I think Nisbet might be a lot worse than is being admitted. I’d definitely get MacDonald into back 4, but I doubt he will, I’ve not been sold on the decision making of Malloy and Ruby.
Besuijen for Duk, Morris for Keskenen, Clarkson for McGrath. Possibly Ambrose for Sokler, McDonald for Malloy, Palaversa for Neilson, that's fit changes I'd make for Seturday
I think both Ruby and Molloy could benefit from playing beside a more experienced defender, so Jimmy should rotate the central defenders a bit sometimes and use Angus Macdonald instead of just having him on the bench every week. Agree on Nilsen, he's played just about every match so far this season and is showing signs of fatigue, as is Nicky Devlin and I don't think it would do too much harm to give Jack Milne a run out at right back sometimes, especially at home and with so many matches coming up once we get into December. I would have Shinnie and Palaversa in midfield in front of our defence. and give Nilsen a chance to recover. In other matches in the future it might be best to rest Shinnie and start Nilsen with Palaversa. Also wouldn't have too many complaints about bringing in Clarkson for McGrath, who has looked off it in the past couple of games. Where I disagree is on Shayden Morris, I think we've seen him at his best this season is coming off the bench and running at defenders when they are already tired, they just can't cope with him at all. He's been our super sub the past few matches and I think that's the best way to use him. Having said that if he did get into the starting 11 it would be deserved.
@pauldonaldson6067 Agreed, Morris is a good impact player aff the bench, but I think it's time to give him a shoty, he's been dynamite in the last knockings of games, maybe he can dee alot mare damage if he plays 70ish minutes, and I didna think I'd be saying that this time last year 😂
@RedTintedGlasses my final moan about zonal marking is three or four times in past games we have allowed a short corner to be taken whilst we are getting into our "zones ". We have so far got away with it but better teams will punish us. Players have been passed to in acres of space on the edge of our box whilst we are still getting ready. So far it has not led to a goal but law of averages....
Would be interesting to see the thoughts on others as i know many saw this as the opportunity to win silverware. As long as we dont let it derail us in the league.
@@RedTintedGlasses personally I would take winning any cup over second place in the league. There are no prizes for second place. I'm still angry about the total collapse we had on Saturday. Celtic were admittedly good, but we were very very poor. It was the second Celtic goal that annoyed me most, because we conceded one in almost exactly the same manner in the 2-2 draw two weeks ago. We had too many players pushed up and lost the ball cheaply in their half, and we appear not to have learned any lessons from losing that goal. It was absolutely criminal to leave ourselves so exposed at the back in a cup semi final against a Celtic team who will come down on that like a ton of bricks. If we ever want to win any trophies we need to beat the Old Firm in Glasgow, and if we want to do that we need to stop conceding so many avoidable goals. I'm not saying we should park the bus like we did under Jim Goodwin but the attacking tactics we've been playing this season will not work in Glasgow against either Celtic or Rangers. There have been a few scares so far this season and we've been lucky to get away with it, usually because we've ended up scoring one more than the opposition, but Celtic will punish us when we make any mistakes like that. Jimmy Thelin needs to learn this very severe lesson and realise that he needs to adapt the style of play to the opposition in front of us not just think we can play the same style against every team.
Celtic were just very very good, we couldn't touch them in the high press, the midfield got overwhelmed, Devlin got taken to the cleaners.

Cant disagree with too much there. Heard a few things on Nisbet not just on injury front.

Ringing the changes! Nae have Nisbet back in for Sokler if fit?
@RedTintedGlasses Possibly

Dena be to doon , we'll be back.
Don't like zonal marking, also don't like all ten players in the box. leave one player up front.
Not leaving a player up front when defedning corners really irks me!

@@RedTintedGlasses I have complained about this too since last season! Changes the dynamics of our opponents set up when we are defending them.
Learn some tactical lessons and take the A game to Dundee this weekend.
Best morale booster for the fans , Aberdeen 6 Dundee 0
Any win will do!
would take that defeat in the cup rather than the league JT will learn a lot from it..
