I've played about 2 boxes of these new Warbirds. They're pretty good for the price. Edit: but I went back to the Maxfli balls because they're also great for the price and usually easier to find in stock.
Yesterday while getting my “baanpermissie”. Sort of practical exam in Holland/Europe so that you can show that you won’t demolish the course. Passed!! I also have the great big Bertha warbird driver (ruger titanium), 3w and 5w.
The quality in both is pretty good. I heard Titleist is the best for uniformity in the layers regardless of price point. That superhot is really poor, I’ve heard that Callaway QC can be sketchy.
Interesting ! i found an almost brand new yellow Warbird the other day and played 6 holes with it and it seemed to go further than ball i was using beforehand . Now you mentioned the compreession on them , this may explain the extra distance and the loudness of the ball Regards
Those warbirds are like a slightly harder version of a ball bearing, found a brand new looking one on the course last week and hit it, it was horrible!!!
Cutting open today's modern golf balls reveals nothing except how many layers bec. they are look alike inside - not like the old rubber band wound balls that Jack Nicklaus played with!
Cutting up today's modern golf balls reveals nothing except how many layers there are or how thick the cover is bec. the balls all look alike inside with different color plastics! Not like the old rubber band wound balls that Jack Nicklaus played. Nicklaus says modern technology has made the golf ball go too far and is hurting the game.
Have you played this ball? 🤔🏌️♂️
No but played that driver and I had the 3 and 5 wood. They rocked 👍
I think the 5 wood was one of the best ever fairway woods! Remember the 7 wood in this range - a thing of beauty! 😍🏌️♂️
I still have my 3 and 5 woods. I brought them back off my honeymoon in florida 27yr year ago 😮 don't use them now though 😂

I actually got that driver for my birthday back in the late 90's, was 1 of my favourites 😀
It’s a classic, I’m so pleased I’ve held on to it all these years! 👍🏌️♂️
I’m off to check out all my warbirds 😊
Good idea! 👍🏌️♂️

Yes I was shocked by the super hot! 👍🏌️♂️

Yeah these harder balls will go further, that sounds like a decent find on the course! What do you usually play? 👍🏌️♂️

Ha ha! Yeah I’ve heard they’re ‘brick-like’ 😂🏌️♂️
@upclosegolf yes an engineering brick at that!! 🤣
