Survivors will assess the changing conditions and market dynamics and act. Some are very good at moving quickly, others don't move quickly enough. The bold ones will survive.

I have a sheep pair and rescue horse. I feed sheep pellets, horse all stock pellets and hay pellets. Tractor Supply has an alfalfa Bermuda mix that's been keeping weight on these 3. It's the chicken feed that's killing me. Because of the heat, they're not laying much...

Our cow herd here in central ND USA survived the winter of 2021 and 2022 on a diet of 50% cattails ( cut with no heads and shredded ) 25% corn silage that was blended with the cattails and let set for 24 hours. And 25% crp hay barley hay

After only recieving 80 cents per pound for our calves last fall. We sold every cow. Best decision we ever made. Just have sheep and they actually make a profit.

I might have a solution. There’s this gentleman named MosesWest who built a machine that can produce water that is of interest to cattle ranchers, agriculture, and wildlife reserves. The military uses this equipment. That’s why we never hear them complain about not having clean water when they are in the desert. These machines can produce water 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The small one can produce 580 gallons of water daily, and the larger one can produce2,300 gallons a day running off of solar or a gas generator. Look into his atmospheric Water Generator. He will be happy to help you all. Moses West - The Real Water Rescue Foundation

It takes moisture out of the atmosphere. Now I am no expert on this one bit and am probably wrong- but moisture in the atmosphere also helps form clouds, without the moisture it would mean less rain and mean that air generally is much drier which can be bad due to its effects on the grass. Also another one of the concerns is the cost and actual use of it on a ranch. It could never really take the place of water supplies because you always need somewhere to go if something goes wrong, and being technology, something will go wrong eventually that may just make much more of a pain.

People in the US are a hard headed lot. Innovation that is labeled green or sustainable is met with suspicion. Politicians and the media capitalize on the mindset to spin more mistrust. In Idaho, we have one the worst public education systems in the country. Funding for education is met with resistance and many don’t graduate high school then move to trailer parks to join the poverty stricken. Government conspiracy is the daily topic, basic education is the last.

@@awildtannerwasfound5045 Will you just take the time to look at the machine before you come up with a conclusion? Just do the research; that's all I'm asking.

Drill and get some water on 4 inch. pipe. The sun will produce electricity for you.You can pump 10-12 hrs/day.If you get that grass wet everything will be great. This is America. They do that in INDIA and Pakistan and you do not do it here.
