On the other hand, it was difficult to expect the return of Anita and Ray due to the fact that the typical Eurodance music in 1998 no longer existed. The real Eurodance was created in 1992 and ended with the end of 1996. Then almost all Eurodance bands broke up which contained female vocals plus rap of a man. And Eurodance's music turned into Dance, with Trance music elements.

Shame they went by the 2U name and this song, Wanna Get Up, was their main song. It's not as good and one of the wrost under the 2U name, but its not totally awful.

For the genre, the song is decent. But it feels so love-songy with lyrics styled like it's a story or dialogue. Maybe it's nostalgia talking, but I don't recall the original duo's songs having the same style. It's not country or blues. you don't need some girl talking about how her lover is letting her down, all you need is a good beat, synth samples and some high pitched yells. Maybe some faux-technological phrases as lyrics. Something to yell along to. Not a page of a teen girls diary.

I have to say that 2 Unlimited under these talented ladies was better than anything Wilde and De Coster put out with R&A. It's a shame it didn't work out. And now that it's come to light that Ray ALLEGEDLY (and according to a Facebook conversation with Anita) hit her due in some small part to his alleged alcoholism, I've destroyed each and everything that had R&A involvement.

The Sasha remix of this song is far better than the original. Unfortunately, this totally lacks the sound & vibe associated with 2 Unlimited. Ray & Anita are really what made 2 Unlimited so successful. No offense to Romy & Marjon, but they don't even come close to comparing with Ray's rapping, Anita's vocals, and their chemistry. It's too bad, but it was great while it lasted.
