The thing is you’re supposed to stop the wheel before clicking the button again, there is a metal rod that goes on the plastic grooves in the wheel, your groves have obviously worn down
You can use the individual clicks to measure one movement if that makes sense, infinite scroll is meant for substituting a click or to zoom very quickly in certain situations
Idk if i should but the G502 or the G305. I keep seeing mixed reviews of both of them for example the mouse being too heavy or start double clicking overtime.
Get a piece of paper and rip a really small piece off, then fold it up real tight. Fit it down in the gap between the scroll wheel and the frame of the shell. Been using this method for 3 years now and works great. Tightens up the wheel and it’s still just as responsive as normal. Lmk if this helped!
It's supposed to do that. It's definitely a lot more weird if you aren't used to it, but simply due to the infinite spin feature it will be looser. I like it like that tbh
it's perfectly normal, i've had the exact same mouse for 5 years and i've had no problems with it. actually it helps me a lot that it behaves like this, especially i use the scroll button a lot, i usually don't lift my finger from it when i scroll, and when i want to scroll quickly i simply lift my finger from it, it's more ergonomic that way if i want to scroll super fast, i switch to infinite mode.
My g502 sometimes scrolls without scrolling when playing competitive games . It's not bc of the infinite spin because i have it off. Edit: im thinking it might be some dust in it, but idk how do i clean it bc i dont live in america/usa, and idk where to get an air spray
It's because of the momentum of the metal scroll wheel. If you switch it out for a lighter wheel it will spin better normally but have less momentum in the infinite scroll mode.
Lol I felt the same as you when I bought one. A friend of mine also has a g502 hero so I tried his and it's actually designed like that so yeah I think it's fine.
The clicks feeling of the wheel gets worn own very fast if you spin it in infinite mode and stop it with the button. The gears get worn down... Just like you did in the vid
what problem?? that is normal. there is a metal pole that will rest againts teh back wheel with that wavy groove. my concern was teh wheel scrol that is not looks like previous model with rubber at the middle of the wheel.
You need to do 100 push ups jog 2 miles everyday to weild this behemot of a mouse. Kidding aside, it seems to work like that i have 3 of those mouse models.
That is normal. Only thing you should beware is double click issues what seems to be popular on g502 hero. Little over 1 year ago i got my first g502 hero and after 2 months of use it started. Got new one from warranty and it lasted 4 months. Now my third mice started double clicking. My old logitech g400s lasted 7 years so it is not about user. Now im looking for razer or corsair and not anymoore logitech. It is very nice mice, but i dont trust this product anymore.
It is supposed to work like that, not to mention the fact that it is one of the greatest features ever on a mouse. Know what you buy before you buy it, rather than seeing intended features as problems and then posting about it.
I have the g pro wireless but use the g502 sometimes to switch things up. I have the same problem which actually causes a lot of issues in a game like Fortnite where scroll wheel reset is important. I feel like it spins a little too much. Did u happen to find any fixes?
I have the g502 lightspeed wireless. Great mouse, battery amazing, freespin button is the dumbest thing ever. To easy to press, and gets me killed daily in any fast paced game (like APEX, jump is bound to down scroll, one fast down flick in a fight... I'm done for. ) only and biggest flaw.
i know i really hate that. it really messes me up when gaming. i need the scroll wheel to stop spinning once i release my finger off of it but it fucks my game badly
@@alternatecrabbyexcept Logitech stuff always works fine and even the cheap stuff priced as if it were aliexpress junk always outperforms everything else in its price range while lasting an eternity.
Wait what, for me my g502 hero mouse scroll wheel spins like a wheel Edit: Yes when u click that button like 2 times the scroll wheel wont spin like a wheel because some people may not like that. So thats a setting, just l8ike that button again and the scroll wheel will be back to normal
that’s normal my g502 is like that too it designed for more friction less spin

Good for you man :)
Does it have rgb for console I want to get one for my little brother

It isnt too heavy with me when i put all weight and it has 11 buttons and g shift mode, i really love g502❤
It’s supposed to be like that
Understood but it feels weird
that aint a problem its super helpful plus it makes ebic noise

Normal, g502 wheel took me 7 days to get used to it, never bothered me once tho after the initial adapting period
It’s because it’s really just a gaming mouse and it helps to be quick with less tension
My g502 sometimes scrolls without scrolling when playing competitive games . It's not bc of the infinite spin because i have it off.

It's because of the momentum of the metal scroll wheel. If you switch it out for a lighter wheel it will spin better normally but have less momentum in the infinite scroll mode.
This feature is present on a lot of Logitech mice. That button allows you to switch between line by line scrolling and free scroll
Yes

it broke too xd
also, if you move the mouse around too much when you're in infinite mode, the mouse sometimes scrolls a lot
My g502 has a problem, It works as it normally should
Hahaa
U gotta click the restart wheel twice.
This happened when a person doesn’t uses his brain and lock the wheel when the scroll wheel is spinning freely at high speed.
I had the mouse for a month and loved it

Then why you only had it for a month

You can scroll to the infinity in excel sheet
correct me if im wrong, if you want to make it tight, replace the spring inside that mouse
Just press mb3 and pull down
its suppoesed to be like that, no mouse can stop the wheel fully. not even my m720
It is normal it’s so satisfying
People here have no idea what they're talking about, i bought one brand new yesterday and it does the same thing, completely normal 👍🏽
My lights on the clicker dont work wtf i just noticed
No veo problema, es completamente normal. Pero tienes que dejar que la rueda pare para pulsar el botón
Don’t stop the infinite spin with the button that’s why it does that hope this helped
This video is very very old…. i got it fixed from service centre 🤪😂
that's not problem, why would you be flicking that hard if you want precise scrolling?
You must use your scroll alot! Iv got mine used as a gift it's a year or two old and still works fine brother!
It's the design
That is not problem
I know now
the wheel has more weight to it, as it has electromagnetic coil-type ratchets. it's pretty normal.
mine does it too i think its the norm
Click the button after the scroll
i got it for boxing day today and your makeing me regreting buying it now...

the lightspeed version is rubberized I think
It’s because u have the hero which is cheaper compared to the regular one thats whyy i also have the same thing with my hero g502
Every mouse does that. ON a gaming mouse the scrollwheel is designed to spin more no matter the mode you put it on.
Press the button mutiple times
The g502 hero mouse is my fav mouse bc of the scroll wheel. I cna nvr go back to rubberized wheels.

You aren't supposed to click that button before stopping the wheel!!!
Yes sir :)
I love it...tried a new 502 x...I hate the new one
So which is it do you want alot of spin or do you want to try and spin alot but with some resistance
I have the same thing but it’s blue and red lights and when I search it up they call it the light speed
It's normal. It's the dual scroller thingy for logitech mice.
so whats the problem? you want it to be so stiff that you cant move it?
yes
So that if you have something set to scroll wheel it doesn't repeat
i know i really hate that. it really messes me up when gaming. i need the scroll wheel to stop spinning once i release my finger off of it but it fucks my game badly
Its not a problem its a feature, mines is also like that.
Chill mate, because it is designed like that
That is due to the wheel's weight its heavy.
My new G502 wireless doesn't do that since the wheel is significantly lighter
I hate the shape of this mouse so much
that mouse wheel is WAY too loose thats supposed to be tactile and shit, mine is., This aint right
Nothing is right with Logitech 😎

@@alternatecrabbyexcept Logitech stuff always works fine and even the cheap stuff priced as if it were aliexpress junk always outperforms everything else in its price range while lasting an eternity.
The mouse has 2 scroll modes. Norman and infinite scroll. That’s what the 2 buttons in the middle are for.
It’s prob a part of the mouse or some type of feature idk
Hey guy , I have a G502 hero and the Mouse are normal. I Think that that Problem Dont are a Problem but okay
Yes
I don't see a problem. What result were you expecting? The spinning stops after your finger leaves the wheel.
Yeah it broke.... apparently it was defective. That is what Logitech told me
It is actually a feature for stopping the wheel
I just ordered my g502 and this is the first thing I see on my recommendations
It's a sign
Well I hope not lmao
