- This is it! My first flight with the DJI Mavic 3 Pro! Of course, I had to take it out to the Snake River Canyon for that first flight. As expected, the three eyed beast did amazing. I used to say it about the Mavic 3, and now the Mavic 3 Pro has that distinction. "It's the best drone that I've ever owned!"

Hey John, does your RC Pro fit in the DJI bag?
@@IdahoQuadcopter it's tight but yes. I have had better luck putting it screen towards the back (outside rear) of the bag and the hand grips towards the inside (toward s the other section where batteries are, in the front left section)
Note that I had tongo watch an unboxing to fit the aircraft in right, lol! Fits best as DJI packed it; top of drone towards back of pack (away from you) , camera up.
Have you tried the double tap to center? Pretty cool in certain cases!

Wow! That one is amazing. I think you should start calling it tri-clops. I even set the youtube video on 4K just to see the resolution. Wish I could afford one of those, but thinking of at least getting a M3 classic, but I know I will miss the zooming features. As usual, lots of interesting information about the snake river, makes me feel like I've been there. Great work and keep the vids coming!
I use that main lens 99% of the time. The Mavic 3 Classic is a great value!

That was quite nerve wracking to watch at the end, I don’t think I’d be quite as brave as to fly miles away in sport mode with an unboxed, uncalibrated drone flying on a virgin battery, they are dependable machines but I would still be extra cautious on a maiden flight, also if you’re ever retuning to home with a low battery you should make your way back along the canyon edge so you’d be able to easily retrieve the drone should you need to make an emergency landing, batteries can take you by surprise and rapidly deplete through those lower percentages. But thanks for taking the time to upload this, currently binging on Mavic 3 Pro videos while I wait to fly mine.

Hya Marcus, Your battery will improve as you may know as this is its 1st use so it takes up to 10 full chrges or 20 1/2 or 40 1/4 charges to get to full strength. It will last longer in a few charges. My Mav 3 is still running longer yet after 3 charges on all batteries. That was very good, thanks for sharing this. Ray C.

Hi Marcus, thanks for sharing your first flight with the Mavic 3 Pro. I understand that a few Mavic 3 Pro are falling out of the sky. Seems that DJI shipped some Pro's with the kill motors switch enabled. IMO check that your kill motors enable is turned off so you don't have the ability to inadvertently kill the motors in flight..

You definitely should calibrate the compass on a new drone and any time you significantly change your location because of differences in magnetic north. 😊

Hi Marcus, been watching you for a while. Always great content! Currently flying the Air2S with the original Smart Controller with OS2. Really want to up my photography game so I have been researching the Mavic 3 Pro. I think this video just convinced me to pull the trigger! 65th coming up next week and Xmas so merry birthday and Christmas to me! Should be a great drone for flying and photographing the Palouse south of Spokane. I use the cover on my pickup bed as my landing pad. Don't think I have the skill to land on one of those little targets :). Thanks for this excellent review! Love me some Idaho!

Good stuff. Should have used the 3x on the rapids shot since you were having issues dropping f the drone. That's the new thing ppl will have to remember that you don't need to get as close now with the 3x

Well, it’s a great drone for sure and you have some lovely scenery there, myself I’m saving some money and hanging on to my Mavic 3 as would have preferred if they just added variable optical zoom to the main camera, maybe next one. Now I’m just hoping the next gopro is good in low light with a new processor, or maybe DJI comes up with a Mini 4 with 5/6k 60fps camera too.
That Mavic 3 is an awesome piece of tech.
Another great canyon adventure, thanks, Marcus! I am finding that my Mavic 3 Classic precision landing works well most of the time, but it seems especially on longer flights that the landings are a foot or two off target. I’m not sure why, but it would be valuable to know if there is anything I can do to improve the accuracy of the landings. There are plenty of satellites, and I pause the initial ascent at about 7m as instructed. I keep a log of each flight so I can try to spot trends.

I re ran it 4-5times... 14:08 your dronie.. jello. & I have to say.. my Fimi X8SE 2022 performed exemplary out of the box with the TX10 controller. Apples & Oranges i know.. but is it any better than other offerings? Can't wait for those examples. It truly is a serious investment. .. I do have one wish.. remember the Bebop2?.. that camera was really protected.. why are all these new offerings gimbal so vulnorably exposed? One slight mishap and its finished. Anyway.. nice to see you out and about... 👍👍😅

Very nice. In my humble opinion, I think you were wrong to sell the M3. 1. you lost 2 batteries and 2. you shortened the flight time due to the greater weight.

Panning is easily done with the yaw stick, however if you just want to move the gimbal, you can double tap the FPV screen on what you want it to point to. I hope this helps. 👍

I had a damaged rear "foot" the little cap that goes inder the right rear motor. DJI is next day air shipping mine entire Fly More back and same overnight return

When you chose to use "explorer mode", you didn't seem to understand why that's a bad choice in most respects. First, your buttons for 3X and 7X will disappear due to that, which you were confused about later, and more importantly, it eliminates many video setting options. The explorerer mode's only purpose is to allow zooming from 1x to 28x (across all 3 lenses) without having to manually select the different cameras -- but as said, it limits many of your video setting options and so is not good for making production videos . I don't think this is anything new -- it's the same deal for the standard Mavic 3 I believe.

Apart from the zoom, what does this drone offer over the Air2s. Personally I can't see that it's much.
I love my Air 2S as well, but yeah, things like speed power much better video quality, waypoints, flight time, just to name a few.
@IdahoQuadcopter to a certain extent speed and power are ok but video quality isn't really going to be anything much above a 2s
Good day. I bought the M3 Pro 1 week ago. The first day it recorded and played back video no problem. The next day the playback became very jumpy and continuously froze. Also, the recording would turn off and start a new video after just a few minutes. Have you had any issues with your video? What kind of SD card do you use? Thanks.
I use a SanDisk Extreme sd card. You should contact DJI support if you continue to have problems.
@@IdahoQuadcopter Thanks for replying. I also use the SanDisk extreme 256GB. I have contacted DJI. They say it is the type of SD card I am using. They are sending me a Kingston Canvas Go! Plus microSD Card 64GB. I don't think it will work. We shall see. Thanks again.
Do you need a License 107 for the drone footage to film with/monetize your work on RUclips?
