    Very great video! I have several motors that I will be building using your design! BTW, never mind the 217 IDIOTS who put thumbs down. They are lacking mental capacity to even understand much of anything, much less, this video. I bet they are too stupid to even know how to thread a nut on a bolt. I also have several Hypertough drills that all I have to do is put the threaded rod in the drill chuck and tighten it. Then open the plastic case and solder in wires to control it with. I'm going to build a mini-excavator with the actuators I build. The base of the excavator will be 2 to 3 square foot at most. It will be a toy, however, still big enough to actually dig a sewer line! It will be on a cart, and my body weight as the counter weight. I expect the digging bucket, or scooper, to be maybe 1 foot wide at most. I am already in to toy RC heavy equipment, 1/14th scale, and have several machines, and buying even more. I wish I could find 1/8th, but nothing is available. I give you a solid thumbs up, best actuator video I have seen so far!

      what if we line up a bunch of these motors, next to each other and form a grid. Next thing you do is plug them to a arduino and sync them with a wave function or something like this dribbble.com/shots/6945228-Dot-Grid and bam you have a real tangible topographical map. Image taking google maps data and moving across landscape with this thing. That would be cool.

    • @wassilchoujaa3478
      @wassilchoujaa3478 5 лет назад

      of course you would need smaller motors and a lot of free time. Wich i dont have on me rn

    I'm sorry everyone but this is NOT a linear motor. This is a DIY linear actuator (the clue is that there's a rotary electric motor at one end). A true linear motor is just as it says: an electric motor that is laid out in a linear fashion as opposed to a circular one. They're quite awesome.

    You cant build an actuator with epoxy glue and scrap plastic. Is this for chickens? you know how strong a Linear actuator needs to be. one wrong move, it will crash like a house of sand.

      youd either need to find a way to reverse the polarity, which can be done with some special switches, or use a servo motor, designed to move backwards and forwards
