I have been going through what you are since April 2023 (same cancer, same inability to eat). Treatment may not feel rough until AFTER the end of chemo. i did have the surgery and I am glad I did. Make sure to check the credentials and number of treatments performed where you are going to be operated on - that counts!!! Go to a place with lots of experience in your kind of cancer. I have to check your latest posts to see what you decided. i am reading this almost a year later! You may not lose all of your hair; i didn't. AND IT'LL GROW BACK. Hair is the least important aspect!!! Remember that. i have had a feeding tube since last June 2023 and it's not always fun, but I totally lost my appetite for many months. Even still, 7 months post-surgery, I have very little appetite, and need my feeding tube (into my intestines) to get enough nutrition. Also, post-surgery I had a lot of pain, but it WILL GO AWAY! It will get better! Thinking of you with empathy every step of the way. Stay courageous, but you can cry! It is scary!😘And of course you are still YOU!!!!!!
I have stage 3 p16 positive esophageal cancer and starting treatment a few weeks after you. I'm praying for you and I'll be watching your story as I'm going through treatment. God bless you and I hope that you can be cured.
I've been diagnosed recently with esophageal cancer. You don't know it until it's advanced. I told my wife and our boys but if it hasn't been for them I wouldn't bother with treatment at all. My wife has been great. She still is. Right beside me every step of the way. I've cried but I try to keep it to myself. Fyi...I usually fail. But I've cried so much in the last 4 weeks I think I'm cried out. I've lost about 40-50 lbs over the last 4 months. Check and see if it's hereditary. If it is the survival rate is much higher. I'm right there with you. If you want to talk to someone who is going through this with you reach out. I'm here to talk to or cry with. I'm in eastern time by the way. I've been thinking about making progression videos from my side of it and my wife's side of it and also including my boys telling what they feel and think.
Just stay positive and do what they say. We went thru the cancer thing with both my parents. They fought the good fight. Your young and looks like you got good family support. Positive vibes sent
I'm so sorry you are experiencing this at your young age. Vlogging is a good idea for support from loving people. I'm a retired Grandma, but I watch a lot of YT videos. I follow a young Mom with stage 4 lung cancer and I notice she's on a emotional roller coaster of treatment, experimental treatment and lots of thoughts as a Mom of very young children. It's ok to cry too. Just because you're a man doesn't mean you can't. You can do it in private to release those emotions. Take care and be thankful for your wonderful Momma. 💙
I will pray for you I know what you're going through. Mentally. I went through the same thing. When you tell you have cancer you will be real to people . Don't worry God got you. I promise you that.
I just graduated from medical school and you know, this is one of the most humanizing and heartbreaking things I have watched. I came across your channel by accident. You read about all these facts and they’re just that, facts. I can récite all the risk factors for esophageal cancer and the protocol but it’s the first time I am seeing someone going along this journey. It’s really eye opening and humbling, even more so since we’re around the same age. I am praying so much for you and your family through this journey. Thank you for sharing your experience.
By now you will have forgotten a lot of what you went thru. I'm 8 years out and still have occurring swallowing difficulty's. Just had a call from my Dr. a few minutes ago with the results from my CT scan a few days ago and everything is clean but still hard to swallow due to scar tissue.
I want to start planning on buying a wig right away. I just found out for sure I have esophageal cancer last Thurs. Going Mon to meet oncologist, maybe PET scan, radiation & chemo for sure. I'm strangely calm.
@sonjaleesloth I bought a couple of caps with hair attached. Hair looks real and I got alot of compliments. Also easy on and off. HEADCOVERS UNLIMITED.

My 70 year old Dad (in 2010) fought Cancer of the Oesophagus (we spell it like that here 🇬🇧). He'd smoked from the age of 11 and drank too many spirits 🥃 in his later years. This is the 'price' he paid. But... you are young... In the past 10 or so years I've been keeping up with what's happening with regards HUGE IMPROVEMENTS in the treatment and survival of this type of cancer. You CAN and WILL beat this. You will. Sending love ♥️
My dad has been diagnosed with 3rd stage squamous cell carcinoma , the earlier symptoms were dysphagia and pain. Later it got difficult to even swallow the water ..we were visiting dr. For past 2 months they thought of it as a viral infection but later he was referred to gastroenterology department where they did this endoscopy and it revealed an underlying tumour, the doctors told us beforehand that 99.2% chances of it to be cancer are there and the tumour part was given for biopsy and thats how we got to know about it. He had been severe alcoholic and smoker for the time being now . I really hope for him to get well again. The doctors have advised to give 5 radiation+1 chemotherapy in a week and since it is locally situated, it can get cured. So i was just scrolling about it and gotta see ur video, please pray for my dad too 💞
Good luck Benny, God be with you and watch over you. My husband has been going through this for three years. He has been through three full rounds of chemo and radiation and is now on a targeted chemo and many surgeries, but is feeling well now thank God.
Your mood is keeping you afloat. Great positivity. Be happy. Your mental state helps soo much. Im glad for your strength. The Joy of the Lord is your strength

I was diagnosed December 2023 stage 3 Esophageal cancer. I finished radiation and chemo in February. Looking for a surgeon. Better rate of survival if you have surgery. First surgeon told me it was too risky and I wasn't going to find a surgeon to do. Hopefully I will find one. Good luck with your treatments.
God bless you!!! Sounds like you caught it early. If they want to do surgery - make sure you have a surgeon who has done many - please please check on that.

May I ask what were you're symptoms? How did you know something was wrong? What test confirmed you had it? I'm going through something and have other health issues like autoimmune issues but I have a lot of issues and a very uncomfortable feeling in my neck and throat area along with a chronic cough and constantly having to clear my throat.... I wish you the best on this journey... remember one day at a time 🙏💪
